...this game takes place just before the Emperor dies at Endor.. and in fact the players the Imperials must decide what to do when news of the emperor's death reaches them {shortly after this battle~ YES in classic STAR WARS fashion I opened the game with them in a pitched space battle... my first words... "Roll for initiative Imperials!" - Using D20 Star Wars}.. and 15 different communications are received demanding they support one Grand Admiral, Admiral, Grand Moff or Moff declaring himself the new 'leader' of the Galactic Empire! What will the PC's do with their fully armed and crewed Imperial I - Star Destroyer?!? :)

...total sandbox game! Its gonna be AWESOME!

Evlar should still be at her side at the mid-point on the stairs. You never moved Evlar icon ever since you started this new map even though he moved to the top of the stairs with Sa'sori.. I can't move him. Even worse if their both only Bards that's Bard 4/Rogue 1... 5th level!

If that's the case... I'm seriously considering having Sa'sori say screw this noise and run for it cause she's still 3rd level and cannot handle foes that powerful all on her own... and SHE knows that!

I'm pretty sure that normal cast invisibility should provoke from someone! So.. who cast what?


There is 1 "herald" that is standing in front of you. He cast the invisible.
There is 1 "priest" that is next to Elvar and your water elemental who cast cure light wounds.
Each of these combatants cast one spell each.

As far as the rest, you're stressing over meta game issues. The encounter has been scaled back to account for the weakened party.


Side note, in Golarion where this is set, a specific God must supply divine spells. You can not gain clerical spells without one. General purpose clerics, arthritic clerics, and ideological clerics can not exist in this setting.

So did that Herald provoke an AoO when he cast his spell? Both Sa'sori and the elemental would take a swipe at him for it.

Hmmm.. I did not realize that was explicitly the case! Food for thought though.. I had always thought there were no TRUE 'Clerics' of Rasmir.. just charlatans! Though again.. a Bard could do the same things..

Ok... so if the Herald went invisible in front of her and the Cleric cast a spell, she would change her actions ENTIRELY. I did not realize they BOTH cast spells. May I do so?

Right now the only thing keeping that Herald from attacking her with a sneak attack from invisibility is the Obscurement cloud around her and Evlar. A sneak attack right now with her hit points where they are would likely kill her.


Go ahead. Just keep in mind your character is not aware he is no longer in the square he was.

Oh.. not that is matters much.. but Sa'sori's step-brother Dustin.. is not actually dead, that's just what her step-father told her.

Dustin did indeed join the Mendeevian Crusades.. something his father GREATLY disapproved of! He followed a mentor from the Bank of ABADAR in Korvosa off on as his father called is 'Some damn-fool idealistic Crusade' and he disowned Dustin for doing so. Dustin is now 32 years old and a Paladin / Holy Vindicator of ABADAR.. he returned home to Korvosa a few years back to find out his mother who had mysteriously stopped sending him letters had died and his pretty little half-elven step-sister his father had sold into slavery!

Dustin was ENRAGED and considered killing his father save for one twist of irony. His father had not heard from him for so long.. he actually thought Dustin was dead by now, and.. what he did to Sa'sori.. the only remaining child he'd had of his once beloved Jehena... tortured him with guilt, his conscience had plagued him ever since he sold her into slavery and he was DEEPLY regretful for what he had done to Sa'sori and wished he could take is back! Sa'sori's step-father, Taramin, had actually changed. He'd spent years a wreak of a man after what he had done to Sa'sori, got involved in all sort of self-destructive vices... to punish himself for his act so evil against his innocent step-daughter. But a remarkable woman, his Elsabeth found him and healed his spirit and he remarried. Now Taramin is an attentive and loving father.. to his new family~ a son and a daughter... but the Guilt and Shame of his past deeds are never far from his memory. His punishment to have to watch another woman he loved, his Elsabeth, die to disease in the Blood Veil plague that stuck Korvosa~ truly an unforgiven man. But he remains devoted to his repentance and raising his son and daughter to be upright good people faithful to ABADAR.

Dustin has since been looking for his lost Step-sister Sa'sori... hoping beyond hope that she may still live.

It's up to you what you want to do. Elvar kept them because he was under the impression the sword and armor were sentimental to you with everything that happened in Kassan. You with both be given some compensation for the work you're doing about the ship over the next few days if your concern is just having some coin.

Elvar is not a typical warrior/adventurer. While he does understand the need to defend yourself, it is unlikely that he would buy multiple weapons of various materials.
He is open to whatever armor you think it best for him to wear. The reason he was against heavy armor before was your plan to sneak. Since that is no longer the plan he will wear whatever. You do have a fair point about the heat, but he was unlikely to put it on unless they were expecting trouble.
