Follow up in Discussion thread however, no 18 is too low. DC became 24-29 depending if you:

1. Went Full speed +10 to dc.
2. Pushed through an enemy square instead of a threatened area. (+5/+0 respectively.

The combination of the above made the dc go into the Mid to High Twenties 24-29 as stated above and in discussion thread.

Kieran couldn't contain it anymore. He takes a hand from his hammer and reaches for his spear as he enters the clearing behind the others.

"COWARDLY SPIDER F+#~! GET DOWN 'ERE SO Y'CAN LOOK ME IN THE EYE WHILE I KILL YOU," he screams at the cave dweller, frothy spit boiling into his beard.

"DOWN. NOOOOOOOW!!!" With that, he hurls his spear as hard as he possibly can at the opportunistic beast.

Kieran rage filled words cause the Thin Dwarf to narrow its eyes in his direction. The dwarf's eyes open wide in surprise as the powerfully thrown spear skewers the cave dweller, sending it and the spear spinning to the cave floor where it writhes momentarily between a pair of solemn looking statues before going still...

As the barbarian's hate filled glare turned it's way the dwarf hissed. "Troublesome fleshbag...."

His rage is answered by the movement of his undead minions who sweep forward with weapons in hand.

Save vs fear: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Lasciel is faced by the long reach of the zombie wielding the lucerne hammer. It's dead eyes are fixed at her as it gives its hammer a might swing and slams it into her shoulder, despite not inflicting a serious injury it was already feeling numb from the powerful limbs of the dead man...

From the moment of his being stung, and the instant paralasyis it induced, two emotions have been building in Lomar. One, fear. Fear for his sister, and his inability to protect her. The second, fury. Fury at the insult of being reduced to a state more useless than a newborn. Having had the necessity of being dragged to safety like a slab of meat only fueled his wrath. Finally, seeing out of the corner of his eye Lascial dash off to join the battle, and hearing her cry of pain is the final straw.

Putting all his will and anger into his effort he shouts mentally "I. WILL. MOVE. NOW" and he suddenly bursts into motion.

Moving faster than seemingly humanly possible, Lomar launches off the ground and dashes into the next room all in one amazing, rapid motion. Taking in the entire battle situation in a flash, seeing the deranged Dwarf and realizing it is the prime enemy, the warlock lashes out with a massive burst of arcane energy and fire. A black torrent of magical plasma bursting against the withered flesh of the undead dwarf.

Lomar tore past the other companions, nearly plowing poor Aneiva over in his haste as he burst through the small tunnel and unleashed hell on those that had laid him low. The thin dwarf's eye's nearly bug out of his skull as he identified the raw power rolling towards him. He barely had time to mouth. "WARLO...!?" Before being nearly blown
off his feet by the powerful strike. "THIS ISN'T HAPPENING! NOOOOO!" He shrikes in outrage as he downs a potion and vanishes before everyone's eyes.

Seren's powerful blow returns another skeleton back to the raw state it used to be. Scattering bones around the room in an explosion of fragments.

Ethyra finds her self no longer standing alone as Anevia comes in wielding her crutch and a loaded crossbow. "OH! SH^&!" Is her battlecry as she swings wide with the crutch...

1d20 ⇒ 1

... sadly shattering across the skeleton's magically hardened frame. She glares as she puts both hands on her crossbow. "I hate undead!"

Horgus's shout echos alongwith the other sounds of combat. "I SAID TO THE LEFT YOU BLIND BUFFON! Are you trying to kill Anevia?!"

2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10

Two bolts of light slam into the skeleton, shattering it shortly after Anevia's crutch failed to do anything. The blind elf's venomous words followed quickly after. "Its hard to concentrate with your shouting Horgus!"

SA: Horgus uses Standard Action to Facepalm himself.

"Worst help ever..." He grumbles...

He's too far back to see that all that remained was the lone zombie wielding it's Lucerne Hammer...

With its reach compromised the zombie quickly falls to the combination of Lasciel and Seren attacks. The walking flesh quickly shreds as her glaive cuts a deep hole in its gut, Spilling its intestines on the floor. It stumbles after the blow, looking as if it were trying to counterattack but it gets so tangled up in its own guts it trips and falls. Its head impacting a fallen piece of statue on the way down with a sicken crunch...

As its brain matter oozes out disgustingly across the rocks everyone is able to sigh in relief as...

Combat is over!

The only thing left moving in the chamber aside from the battered heroes is the chained child size prisoner. Who starts shaking in fear when they look in its direction. A nasty bedroll lays near the fire where the hunk of leg is now burning, making the disgusting smell even more unbearable...

Ethyra upon seeing her beloved in his current state sent her almost into a state of madness. She had to regain her composure and reassure herself of the faithfulness of her goddess. She closed her eyes as she connected with her mother goddess. A soft wave of energy washed over every fiber of her being as she was transformed into a healing vessel. Her voice being one with the goddess's "Jaeger, you will be fine. Be healed!"

With those words a surge of energy blasted his wounded body and encased him in a light the color of a bright summer moon. The symbol of her goddess flashed before her eyes to indicate the healing was complete. The faintest outline of a butterfly danced up to the ceiling and vanished. The feeling of witnessing this sign was as comforting as a mothers embrace to a distressed child. Seeing Jaeger regain his strength, Ethyra throws her arms around him and presses him tar. "My beloved" she sobs, "you are...are ok!" She squeezes him tighter. "d-don't ever do that to me again or I swear life in our chambers will be dull for a month as punishment!" She felt grateful to her goddess for healing her husband. She could feel the love for her husband coursing through her veins. She shook as happy tears welled up in her eyes.

Unless I'm mistaken (I suck at figuring AoE's), Ethyra's channel got the majority of the group, right?

The first complete thought Kieran eventually formed was: ”How in Hell did I end up this drunk?” This, of course, was before he remembered the whirlwind of colors that the skinny dwarf had assailed him with. He set to open his eyes but realized they were already so; they, as well as the rest of his body, had been rendered completely useless by those twisted magics. He struggled without motion in a peculiarly comical/terrified fashion until, one by one, function returned to his appendages and he was able to push himself to his feet.

Quickly surmising that the dwarf was not among the heaps of fallen enemies, Kieran grits his teeth. ”How longs it been since that rat-f~%@er midgets been gone?”

It is an option to pursue the Dwarf if you wish, I can extend the combat rounds. Let me know.

Ethyra's magic washes over the room, healing the injuries that everyone had received thus far in the fight to survive. Horgus and the two other survivors look relived to have not suffered a prolonged engagement. The elven wizard looks healthier then before, as does Anevia and Horgus. However Anevia was still limping, her broken bone not mended yet.

"Well good thing I didn't need the crutch anymore. Ha!" Anevia laughs loudly as Horgus face palms himself, again, as the elven wizard smoothes outhis dusty and worn looking robes. "I believe he was casting a Color spell. Is everyone alright?"

I'd still be passed out so I'm (selfishly) alright with ending combat lol!

"Jus' fine," Kieran growled, still clearly upset that the attacker successfully escaped prosecution. After gathering his bearings, he tears his spear out of the Cave Dweller, gives the creature an extra jab to make sure it stays dead then heads for the unexplored path where he assumed the dwarf had fled through. "Got him on the run, can't afford t'let him prepare 'nother ambush."

Jaeger smiles at his beautiful wife. "Ju promise? Monsieur bones over there ruined ma last one." He says as he stand up with Ethyra's help and gives the skeleton a kick scattering bones across the floor. "I'd rather not let the thing trap us again. Also not that I care, but what should we do with that?"

Jaeger says as he gestures towards the chained thing.

Male Fetchling (Kayal)- Outsider (native) Warlock/1

As soon as the dwarf vanishes, Lomar rushes over to his sister "Lasciel! Are you hurt?? I heard you scream!"

It is then that he feels Ethyra's healing magics wash over the group, and sees his sister's, as well as his own, wounds heal before his eyes. A surge of warmth and gratitude surges through him towards the human healer, a type of emotion he has rarely felt for anyone else other his sister. Not entirely comfortable with the feeling, he ignores it and speaks again to Lasciel "The Barbarian is right, we must kill that undead piece of s#!t while he's weakened. Please, stay with the others until we get back!"

Knowing that his sister is easily as stubborn as he could be, and twice as brave, he can only hope that she heeds his words as he dashes off after the Dwarf, he darkvision serving him well in any unlighted areas.

I give a grateful salute to Ethyra for healing the wounded, "Your prayers are beautiful," and then address Anevia and Horgus, "I hope you will interogate the prisoner but avoid releasing it until we are all together again."

Then I follow after Kieran and Lomar, calling to them: "Do not rush off. Expect an ambush at every turn and you may avoid one."

As we travel, I produce a piece of cloth, wipe down my weapon and remove any gore from my armour.

Feeling the healing wash over her Lasciel is relieved, especially upon seeing Lormar's wounds healed as well. As her brother dashes off, her first instinct is to ignore the usual safety warning and rush after him, but not wanting to leave the wounded too defenseless she holds back.

"Is everyone ok?" she asks.

Those in chamber

As the others bolt down the only path that the thin dwarf possibly took, the others were left alone with the quaking prisoner. Who's mixed heritage was unsettling...

At Ethyra's approach the prisoner started to shake more and more. Absolutely terrified of her and those that remained in the room with it. Her soft words were met with softer words from the prisoner Eric as it buried its head against the cave wall.

Undercommon:

"Mamma, I want my mamma... I promise to be good. Lady of light please save me..."

It keeps repeating the same thing more and more frantically. As Ethyra peels away the rags covering the prisoner, she realizes its a girl...

Ethyra attempts to calm the girl. "Shhh it's ok little one." She says as she removes her cloak and attempts to drape it over the child. She speaks in a shaky voice "Can anyone remove her chains and get the other one down as well no one deserves that."

Those in the chamber

The flickering light reveals fresh rivulets of blood where the child has torn her own flesh in an attempt to escape the manacles she is held appear poorly made but strong enough to hold something as simple as a child. Her flesh around her wrists is rubbed raw and broken in several spots where the manacles sit. She continues her pitiful whimpering in a language few of you understand...

Kieran is Cid busy with school stuff? He is concious now

Ethyra: My bad you were right so everyone recieved only 12 hp worht of healing which is substantial but I didn't realize that damaging undead meant giving up healing. My bad lol! :)

Hot Pursuit!

In a scattered group Lomar, Jaeger and Seren dashed off after the invisible Thin Dwarf, taking the only path they could think he would have taken...

They moved about a hundred feet out of the prison chamber, emerging from raw unworked cavern walls and into what appeared to be fine masonry or a well carved hallway. About sixty feet into the worked hall and they encountered resistance. A group of four undead, three skeletons with heavy crossbows and a zombie wielding a lucerne hammer this time. The skeletons and zombie appeared to have been heading towards the chamber they had just left.

Both groups are roughly sixty feet from each other. You spotted them at the edge of your darkvision.

THe skeletons take up position behind the zombie, their precision is almost unnerving as they concentrate fire on 1-Jaeger, 2-Seren, 3-Lomar: 1d3 ⇒ 2 Seren, unleashing a volley of bolts from their heavy crossbows...

The skeleton's begin reloading as the zombie moves forward, closing the distance and easily covering the hallway with the Lucerne Hammer's superior reach.

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Fortunately, I have the 'called' ability.
reroll attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Stats: HP 33/33; AC 21, touch 17, Flat Footed 13; CMD 20; Fort +5, Reflex +7, Will +2; Perception +7; Initiative +4;

Thats fortunate....lol

Male Fetchling (Kayal)- Outsider (native) Warlock/1

As Seren dashes off and deals a telling blow against the zombie, Lomar takes a knee and unleashes a furious blast against one of the skeleton crossbow'men'. Yet the distance is significant and his blast goes wild, veering off into the darkness.

Ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 1d8 ⇒ (3) + (6) = 9

Stats: HP 33/33; AC 21, touch 17, Flat Footed 13; CMD 20; Fort +5, Reflex +7, Will +2; Perception +7; Initiative +4;

Jaeger rushes the crossbow wielding skeletons before they can start another volley of bolts.

Charge: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Come on...

Female Aasimar Paladin 1 (Hit Points: Current 12, Total 12; Initiative -1; Perception +0)

Warhammer only seems like it would be used by Seren or Kieran.

So, let's flip a coin!

1 = Seren
2 = Kieran

coin toss: 1d2 ⇒ 2

Male Fetchling (Kayal)- Outsider (native) Warlock/1

Well, he can't use it right now, anyway. So once you guys down the zombie, it's skele bashing time :)
