this game is forcing me to really recollect my sunday school lessons.

Elijah is my favorite biblical figure. (I'm named after him).

Are we on hold? Its been a couple weeks. Was hoping posting would pick back up after the holidays. This game has the potential to be one of my best ever games. I would hate to see it fall by the wayside.

Glad you're still here and excited for this game. I really am too. The start of this year hasn't been good to me but they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger so yea. Let's keep this going.

Learning the language will take some study. It is closest to Desmond's Aramaic(or did I say Hebrew?) so it would make the most sense for him to be able to learn it the fastest.

I believe it was Aramaic.

I'm still willing to carry on, but I confess the more long gaps, the lower my interest. I expect the GM is strapped for time dealing with RL issues. I hope we'll get an update at least on the situation from the GM.

I concur I had very high hopes for this, but if we cannot get some momentum or at least some warning that we are taking a break I fear fro the game.

Hey everyone, thanks for still being interested in the game. Real life has been giving me a lot of stress and unfortunately this game has suffered. The simple truth is that homebrew is harder and my creativity was hitting blanks so I said I would do it tomorrow after I got some sleep...

I don't want to stop this game so I hope you all stay in this with me.

I've been busy with work and college so I haven't had the time to post. I'll try to post more this weekend.

I am leaving for a 10 day trip tomorrow. My posting will be limited to shorter posts from an iPad and likely only in the evenings. Please bot me if I get behind. I travel home on the 17th and should be back to normal on the 18th.

Another trip...

I leave for New York City around noon tomorrow and from there will leave for 11 days in China on Wednesday. I will be back late on Saturday April 7 and begin to catch up on April 8th. And yes I know I just got back from a trip.

I will have an iPad with me (better than posting from a phone) and should have internet most of the time but there are three days that are remote so I am almost sure I will not have internet all the time. I will do my best to post some but please both me instead of waiting for me. This is my last trip longer than a long weekend I have planned for the entire year.

Safe travels. My parents were missionaries in China during the late 1940s. If you get anywhere near SW China (Yunan Province) you'll be in the same general area where they ran a hospital (in a little village called Tengchong).

I have an aunt and uncle (my dad's sister) who were missionaries in Singapore in the 60s. They share a birthday and are both 86.

I'm working on transcribing letters from my parents to their families during their sojourn in Asia. It's a fascinating time in history and interesting to compare the cultures and religious ideas as they intersect.

My aunt had 4 children. It would be interesting to study the impact on their lives from growing up in such a foreign culture. I wonder especially about the younger daughter, who is older than me. She lived much of those formative years in a society that, at the time, de-emphasized the importance of women. I believe that impacted her life into adulthood. Hard to prove, but would be an interesting study.

I am traveling today (28.5 hours so far) and may still make it home by early tomorrow morning. Just caught my last flight with 3 minutes to spare.

I'm still willing to resume if the GM announces he is ready to reactivate it. But I'm now a GM for 3 PBP games and player in two others, so my dance card is pretty full. I would not be able to post every day some weeks. But the GM said he needed a week or two but that was 2 months ago now, so I expect it's dead.

I'm still here if it pops back up, but also okay if it doesn't. Sometimes real life just happens. :)

I'm GMing a PbP game now, and starting up a new game soon. Out of the other 2 games I'm playing in, one just fizzled, but the other is moving along fine. That being said, I'm with Cooil, GMing 2 games is going to fill my plate, and so I'm perfectly ok with letting this one go. It was a great concept and fun to play with you all. If anyone's interested in playing in my new campaign (it's a Dwarf Fortress inspired kingdom builder campaign) let me know. I'll give you all a +4 situational bonus in Recruitment since I've played with you before :)

Sounds interesting. I have never played Dwarf Fortress... is that okay? It also depends on when your recruitment is. I am in the middle of moving right now, but I'll be done and settled in by the 15th. If your recruitment is still going on, I'll check in and see if I can build something cool. :)

It's fine if you haven't played DF, although some of the in-jokes might go over your head.

Thanks for the invite djdust. I am so tempted but not sure I have the bandwidth to learn a new system right now. It sounds quite interesting. Is there someplace I can glace at the rules to know more about what I am getting into? :)

It's still a Pathfinder game, the only changes will be the implementation of hex exploration and kingdom building rules.

Ah, OK. That does sound fun. I was thinking Dwarf Fortress was some new system or at least subsystem. lol. Please excuse my ignorance. :) I'll apply now.
