Yvell Endymion |
" Very well then, we shall not bother you. If we run along her we shall inform you immediately, but with the current issues we have found.. I am not so sure. Before we leave I wish to tell you my name as it would be rude otherwise. I am Yvell, paladin of Ragathiel. "
He nods to them and then to the party.
" Let us continue with our business and not bother these people any longer. "
If so, he will lead the party back to Redfang to inform him of the news and if he had any way of helping them in another endevour.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell sighs and clears his throat, he seemed ready to give his report.
" Redfang, it seems you were correct in assigning our group to these tasks. I advise you sit or listen closely to what I am about to tell you. " With a slight pause for emphasis and giving the man time to get comfortable Yvell continues.
" While investigating the Ealdorman's task we came upon a farm. This area had been coined by a message we believe from your suspected.. issue. Beneath of which there were... monsters of metal and crazed killers. We wiped it clean. There also seemed to be the source of your... mutated creature and water problems. A Gas of some type. This was also handled by our group. "
" Afterward we happened to visit the Varisians that had recently settled in your land. It was to gather information but we found out an Illaris had joined up and swiftly disappeared from their ranks. You should likely watch her. Now on that note I believe we have proven ourselves worthy of trust. Is it possible for us to ask for aid from you or your people? Currently one last task must be completed before we move on, assuming you wish us to find the specific individual. In the ruins there was a creature.. it was relatively peaceful but forced to guard over the area. is it possible to gather any magical assistance from you? "
GM Demonmoose |
"I will make sure the town guard and some of my trusted hunters know about this Illaris, though if she is an agent of the Technic League, they may not be enough. As for magicial assistance, we have a few strong members in those arts, but it may not be what you are looking for.
Brother Derviec is a cleric of Erastil (level 11), you can find him at the church. There is also the brothers Thelpin and Kifkin, urban druids (level 6), at the Trashspeaker Cabins. Finally, there's the old witch (level 6) Gervic Ayggler, at Ayggler's Astronomy.
I don't exactly know what kind of magical aid you need, but they might do it. You might want to move on to other business while we search the town for Illaris' whereabouts."
He clears his throat. "The town of Iadenveigh thanks you for your efforts in helping us out. I'll convene with the Deadeye Council and get you all a proper reward."
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell gives a nod in respect to the man, " Understood. I appreciate the help. As for any reward, though not expected it is appreciated nonetheless. In our pursuit of assisting your issues we have found out interesting information as well. As a friend of Khonnar Baine, it was the least we could do. I wish your search goes well.. however, if you find any problems, do not be afraid to contact us for aid. Now I believe we need to visit Brother Derviec; Good luck. "
As such, they venture to the most likely place that could assist them the Church or Erastil.
Yvell Endymion |
I think we are missing a few but We have to wait a day to try and do so again.
Yvell mused, asking a few questions of the group as they traveled. " We have accomplished quite a few things this day. It will become advantageous soon to rest somewhat to reorganize and traverse the tower and the lands around, No? Perdix, I know you stated to have the capability to get past the door of the tower. We know Furkas had taken Casadalee's body likely... so we may figure out more that way. Redfang alluded to the search taking time.. subtle as it is. "
He then turned to Grammanar, " We recently came upon more technology. You seem to be quite adept at the ranged weaponry. I did not identify everything but we can be much more equipped once I can. Possibly I think I can make a scroll for Perdix to copy as well. I realize you likely have a grudge against the Technic League, so I am not sure how involved you would want to be in the spysearch. "
GM Demonmoose |
You head to the Church of Erastil. A man wearing leathers and longbow greets you. He identifies himself as the Brother Derviec. The church itself is a large wooden home with animal heads adorning the walls and is filled with hunting and farming equipment.
"Hello travelers. What is it I can do for you? Is anyone sick, or in need of spiritual guidance?"
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell speaks at a level tone and explains respectfully to the man, " Yes, quite a different matter I am afraid. I am Yvell Endymion, Paladin of Ragathiel. We ask of you with the good faith of Redfang and your Lord Erastil. Is it possible that you have any scrolls or capability to cast spells that release a planar creature from their bonds or Whisk them back to their own plane? I swore on my God Ragathiel I would assist such an individual as we have met dealing with and ensuring no contamination further plagues your land in our Travels. "

GM Demonmoose |
Brother Derviec frowns.
"There is a creature trapped here for some reason. Is it a good creature or an evil one--no matter. Things should be free, not enslaved. Yes, I can do it. If you want I can cast the spell myself, or prepare for you a scroll."
He gives you a quote of 280 gp for a scroll/spell of Dismissal.
Yvell Endymion |
I'll subtract it from my personal funds we can handle that later if it matters.
Yvell bows, unstrapping his pouch and getting the gold appropriate for the amount. " I would rather you do it personally if possible. We know the strength of such may very well be difficult. The Creature I assume is not evil at least from my senses. It was bound by the Infamous Smoke Wizard your lands have surely heard of. Furkas. "
Yvell Endymion |
Though the Arcane options are really high level in general. And Muga needs some Armor really, and something to do with his saves. The New Weapon Master's Handbook should give you some more options though
GM Demonmoose |
"If that's what you want, I'll do it. Just take me to this creature," Brother Derviec says.
------
You head back down the well with Brother Derviec. After he sees the wind creature, he casts a spell to banish him back to his plane (or somewhere else). The air elemental seems to say, "Thank you." as he disappears. His job done, the cleric takes his payment, and bids you a good remainder of the day.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell looks to the rest of the party now that the task was complete as the group stood atop again. He gave a sigh of relief. " I've noted thoughts earlier.. "
Possibly I think I can make a scroll for Perdix to copy as well. I realize you likely have a grudge against the Technic League, so I am not sure how involved you would want to be in the spysearch. "
" I didnt quite get any indication of that which you all feel on this. Though I do recommend rest and recuperation be done. With the ruin below cleared it may be possible to utilize it even. In any case, the Tower will be something we have to deal with on the morrow, Perdix does not have the spells proper to bypass the door. "
Yvell Endymion |
" From what I remember, the door seemed tough, exceedingly so. Do not forget the Giant tracks, likely they could not get in themselves or needed incredible strength; Muga. As for Perdix, I was not aware your method was limited, I suppose we can simply hope there is a way on the inside to open said door yes? If worse comes to worse, two memorizations of such a spell should work correct?"
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell cursed under his breath, " Then that would mean we'd be completely dependent on that, working the first time. Perdix you said there was something different on the inside correct, something where the front door should have? Perhaps we could have followed those tracks from before.. but likely it is too late as of now. "
The elven man scratched his chin, " Regardless we need to access the Tower. Since we had destroyed the Guardians.. perhaps we can search the surrounding area? "
Yvell Endymion |
" This may be a possibility, I regret that I did not ask the wind creature of such an existence beforehand. If so I believe that will be our task on the morrow. Is that agreed? "
Yvell Endymion |
" Hrmmm, I see no reason not to do both truth be told. If I recall such scrolls are expensive and only capable of what they were designed for at the time. Do you have the necessary resources Perdix? "
Yvell Endymion |
We havent really gotten any liquid assets and we cant sell any Tech here in Iadenveigh. I think we might have gotten like.. a few Silverdisks but none of that amount, so unless you have them on yourself. 700 gp is alot.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell raised an eyebrow to Muga, " Are you volunteering your funds to the cause Muga? That seems unlike you yet simultaneously, something I can see you doing. Eager to find something else interesting to sink your blade into? "
Muga |
"Yes, and it's more of a loan. With our luck, it's undoubtable we'll find at least a thousand worth of junk, and from the way you guys talk, it doesn't seem like this will cost all the five thousand."
Yvell Endymion |
I have quite a bit to type likely after work. I believe Perdix has a room at the Inn so thats where he is scribing. The rest I guess we are camping.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell had quite a few things to accomplish, first and foremost he made sure the Androids corpses were properly sent off/given a burial making a prayer to his god that their souls find proper peace in the afterlife.
He then tries to ensure there was any other information or material in the Ruin under well that might help them figure out something on this Dominion, Casadalee or Furkas. Or any information on the structure itself.
After sealing the Well once more he makes a indicator on the inside of the stone to recognize if it was moved throughout the upcoming night. That done Yvell wanders the market, looking up if there was various exotic meats that Phylla would be interested in or that the group could feast on. Once he found something he would graciously pay the vendor and move on to making camp outside of the City.
He would place several hours into routine set-up, perimeter clearing, inspection and finally cooking (Ensuring the food was to taste wi5th the assistance of Prestidigitation) , to ensure a safe and warm sleep. He would have his night drill, honing his combat skills while also instructing Phylla. Speaking on various topics and her mindset on this, giving more knowledge of the land.
If Valtyra was awake, he would gladly engage in conversation with her, though he tries the avoid the topic of their.. involvement with each other. He was nervous on those talks considering it was one of a few that he was not wholly confident on.
Prior to this all, he did inform Redfang where to find the camp if anything came up.
GM Demonmoose |
Yvell finds no other information in the ruins beneath the well. He finds no "strange animal" meat from vendors, but finds elk, deer, bear and boar that had mutated and its tainted parts cut off. Most of it is a few silver or less.
He talks to Phylla about robots, the metal creatures, and how she doesn't like to touch their cold bodies. Also how ineffectual her tendrils are when she does bother to strike them. It is very annoying. She is also confused about the wind creature, how she could somewhat read its mind, and yet, not really, and if it was an alien creature like Phylla or something else.
GM Demonmoose |
Again, for easy viewing.
This towering stone structure rises high above the tops of the surrounding trees. The towers walls are made of metal and stone and stained black with greasy soot, and its roof is a metal cone crowded by a forest of pipes and chimneys belching smoke into the sky. The tower's few windows are narrow and slatted with thick metal grills, and its only door is a metal rectangle with rounded corners, twelve feet high and nine feet wide. The door bears no knob or handle-only a two-inch-wide hole in the center, the edges of which are cracked and bent as if a tremendous force wrenched something free. A large number of immense humanoid footprints mar the ground surrounding the tower.
Yvell Endymion |
I suppose we rest then
Yvell purchases Bear and Boar meat to feed to Phylla this evening.
Yvell notes she need strike harder, such creatures are tough being made of the same material as his armor or harder. He was also curious of the creature but could only gather glimpses of its appearance.
Yvell Endymion |
Refreshed and ready Yvell casts Heroism upon himself and revs his Blade. He awaited Perdix shifting he party inside.
" Now I must stress to you all we are going into unknown territory and that likely this place means us no good. I am not sure what this Furkas is or if he is alive or dead. The Wind didnt specify, but I am certain it will not be safe. Place any longer lasting enchantments you have available on and be wary of your surroundings. "
When they port in Yvell looks around the new surroundings.
