OK, I'm about to start the Gameplay thread, with the hope that our missing player turns up soon - the story begins with you having been tasked by your patron with a mission, and sent on a ship to Sandpoint in Varisia. The two weeks on the ship will give you the opportunity for roleplay and getting to know each other.
I'm quite taken with the approach that Gordrun has taken with his character sheet - write five identifying features, write three secrets etc. Have a look. I'd encourage you all to do something similar - you don't have to fill in all the slots, but use it for inspiration.

I am here. sorry, I've had a lot going on this week, including this morning getting rear ended on the way to work.
Goofy part is, I checked that recruitment thread hourly almost every day, except Monday and yesterday.
To answer the question, the two Chandlers are not related, just a funny coincidence it seems.
Looks like I need to setup equipment for Graven, I'll get that done when I get home from work.
Glad you liked the backstory! I kept getting rejected from PbP due to having trouble with backgrounds and that gives you lots of little easy things to write, and gives lots of fun plot hooks for the DM!

Yeah, sorry. I only recommended it because it's a social situation. We get all the information we need more quickly this way. Also, if you don't want to roleplay out the five different social encounters, you can slim down on the time spent divided by just having us roll diplomacy checks to gather information.
People are still developing their characters, so I am happy to RP things as long as it doesn't drag on too long.

Not really - he can give you more details on the latest goblin raids if you want. Mainly he's keen to get you out of town as soon as possible so you don't cause trouble.

I'd really like to continue, this was one of the groups I was hoping to get in, really like the idea of the campaign and really like my character idea. Hate to see both die.
I say we keep it going. Well, I'd like to, at least. Obviously it isn't just my decision. But I concur - I really enjoy both the idea of the campaign and Hern, and don't want to give up on either.
