You go back inside and head through the entry hall and through the stone doors to the north.
A tiled mosaic on the floor in the center chamber is obscured by a pool of fresh blood, with a gory trail heading off toward the east. A heavy scent of copper hangs in the air.
In the chamber to the left, several elven corpses are strung up along the walls, pools of blood congealing beneath their feet. It appears their throats have been cut. Along the north wall, an ancient elven statue stands, but it's skin has been painted black and its face carved into a cruel scowl.
To the right, set into the north wall is a black pillar of stone, carved with hundreds of wicked symbols. A flicker of purple light pulses from these runes, traveling up and down the pillar's length. In front of the pillar is a prayer rug made of blood-soaked paper.

Iolar Eitilt |

Iolar scowls more deeply as she looks at the hanging elves. "By fang and claw, sword and arrow, fire and lightning, we'll have our revenge."
"Do not touch the pillar. It may contain foul magic. Quickly now let us keep going. Lothan, Vendric, stand ready." She moves to the second set of double doors, and if no one dissents pushes {or pulls} them open.
Given Iolar's offensive output relative to yours it makes sense for her to open the door for you.

Zoltan the Crippled |
Zoltan's stomach turns at the sight, and blood drains from his already pale features, leaving him looking like the living dead.
What senseless carnage... What god demands such a gory tribute?!
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
With reluctance, he tears his gaze from the slain bodies and turns it to the set of doors Iolar is about to happen.
"This is what's in store for us should we fail. I won't be the torture-toy of some hungry malicious god-dog. No mercy!" he says flatly, raising his charred arms, with a vial and a wand in each hand.

Vendric Barsett |

The smell of blood hits Vendric first stirring his feral sides bloodlust, but after seeing the grisly sight he snaps back to normal. "Perhaps this is where they created that flesh golem." He wonders aloud as he tries to identify the glowing symbols or any arcane need for what he's seeing.
Knowledge(Arcana): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25
He then faces the doors as Iolar gets ready to open the doors ready to face another abomination,

Lothan Robgard |

Witnessing the gory scene before him, "Okay, these freaks are insane. They need to be taken down. Like, taken straight to Hell down."
"Do not touch the pillar. It may contain foul magic. Quickly now let us keep going. Lothan, Vendric, stand ready." She moves to the second set of double doors, and if no one dissents pushes {or pulls} them open.
"Oh I'm ready. You just pop those doors open so we can let death rain upon these dark <bleep>." He nocks an arrow and prepares to fire on the first sign of an enemy.

Darklands Archivist |

You can't tell what god this altar is for, nor what the symbols mean.
When you open the doors, a horrid scent of decay wafts over you. A hole in the wall on the opposite side of the room leads outside. Ancient tables covered in arcane implements stand on either side of a faintly glowing circle scribed into the floor. The contents of the circle are a mystery, as thick black smoke fills the interior from floor to ceiling.
On one side of the room is a hideous creature that looks like a cross between a man and a giant vulture. It is surrounded by a cloud of spores.
Round 1
It immediately charges at Iolar and cuts her with its claw (21 dmg).
PCs act last every round.

Vendric tries to identify the circle then the strange creature.

"Or possibly this freakish bird thing!" Lothan cries as he immediately fires away at the abomination.
Since it attacked Iolar, I'm guessing I'm within 30' so I added Point Blank Shot. If not, then just remove +1 from hit/damage.

Zoltan's eyes grow wide as he witnesses the sheer fury of this impossible creature. He takes a step back in horror, but raises his hands and manipulates time, slowing it down for him and his companions to make them move faster than the creature.
Use Slow Time, equivalent of Haste for the party: +1 AC, +1 Reflex saves, +1 to hit, and +1 attack when doing a full attack.

Iolar Eitilt |

Iolar recoils reflexively from the slashing claws, too late! She staggers back with three bloody furrows in her arm. Instinctively she begins calling on Gozreh and Nethys for aid.
5' step back. Summon nature's ally. Will appear on her turn next round.

Round 1
Vendric lobs a couple bombs at the creature, causing some minor burns. All of Lothan's arrows bounce off of the monster's hide.
Zoltan imbues the party with extra speed. Iolar begins summoning.
Round 2
The creature attacks Vendric in a flurry of claws and talons and teeth, cutting open the alchemist with a couple of large scratches(6 + 6 dmg)

Lothan Robgard |

"Crap!" Lothan yells, ticked off at the fact he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Nevertheless, he continues his assault, hoping he can maybe hit the thing at least once.

Round 2
Vendric steps back and tosses two more bombs (22 + 28 dmg). Iolar summons a dire boar that advances and gores the vrock (21 dmg), and then begins summoning again. Just like Zoltan said, none of these attacks seem to be hurting the demon as much as they should.
Round 3
The vrock lets out a piercing screech (everyone make a DC 21 Fort save or become stunned) and recovers from its blindness.

Zoltan the Crippled |
Fortitude: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

His ears still ringing from the terrible cry of the Vrock, Zoltan manages a smile as the demon remains blinded for now. He reaches for the rod inside his haversack and smiles as the magic of the bag brings it immediately to his hand. Channeling the magic inside the rod, he mutters a prayer of basic healing to help Iolar somewhat.

Thanks, DW! Let's hope Vendric can rip this thing a new bellybutton in his own inimitable idiom.

Lothan Robgard |

As the demon dies, "Freaking yeah!" Lothan exclaims, giving a high fist pump. "Crap I was thinkin' that thing was never gonna die." Lothan takes a moment to catch his breath as he finds a seat for at least a few moments. "Alright, who's hurt?" he asks as he wipes the sweat from his brow with his sleeve.

Lothan takes a moment to catch his breath as he finds a seat for at least a few moments. "Alright, who's hurt?" he asks as he wipes the sweat from his brow with his sleeve.
"I am fine, thanks to Zoltan." Iolar replies as she flies up toward the hole in the far wall of the demon's room.
Zoltan exhales loudly: "A demon... Those are powerful enemies we're making!"...
"More powerful than our allies, apparently," rejoins Iolar as she looks outside. "They should have been here by now."
The elf looks through the hole into the space beyond.

Iolar Eitilt |

"No sign. Let's check that door to the west."
Iolar dips and flies to the western door. Unfazed by her experience opening the last door, she waits for the others to approach and opens the door.
Javell, nice work with the arrows there. I think you did a great majority of the damage.

Lothan Robgard |

Thanks! Heck, I figured if I throw enough arrows at the dang thing, hopefully I can get one to count. Fortunately, one finally did. :)
"Sounds good to me." Lothan moves over to the west door with the others, his bow ready to fire on anything that remotely looks like a bad guy.

Zoltan the Crippled |
Perhaps it's the smell that triggered his reaction, for Zoltan is quick to react to the threat. Without a word, he glides on the floor and places himself at the back, carefully considering his options.
Decided, he raises both arms and pulls them slowly towards him, concentrating heat in the palm of his hands, creating a ball of flame. Moving his hands away from each other, he lets the ball grow in size, the pushes it upwards like a balloon. The ball leaps softly in the air and lands in the middle of the zombies, burning them as it rolls forward.

Round 2
Vendric and Lothan destroy the rest of the zombies.
End of combat.
You open the door and look into a long chamber with raised seating on opposite sides of a long pool of water. The pool has a brightly colored rim, and the water within ripples and splashes as waves travel from one end to the other in an endless current. The seats on either side are populated by dozens of decaying, dripping elves corpses, most of which seem to have been crushed and twisted by some great force. A flight of stairs ascends to the remnants of what may have been a wooden balcony that overlooked the room, but now all that remains of this long-crumbled upper floor are a few stone supports.
