The Cleric holds his hands out wide. He is a rather Large man who probably eats more than he should with many rolls over rolls.

"My friend no need for this. I will discipline my disciple accordingly with the laws you have no need to worry about that and it will not happen again."

The man that struck at you cowers back at the remark sobbing a little.

Ketchum remains completely impassive as he draws the blade of his sword across the palm of his hand before replacing it into his sheath. He stares at the cleric as he does so.

Nihil raises a brow before his hand slowly slips away from his pistol. His gaze turned to the sound of sobbing.

"You. What are you crying for?..."

The serf just backs away behind the others cowering. The priest just smiles and lowers his arms.

"Well then we shall see you later at the auction then."

"Of course."

Everyone disperses on their way and Auraxis eventually meets up with Nihil and Mindblade as they are about to get some breakfast.

Illidan are you going to scale the walls?

Once they sit down Auraxis shares the information he discovered with the others. in as low a whisper as possible

"Nonesuch is still a mystery to us though. I would like to make a report to the Inquisitor before the auction begins as to what we have discovsred thus far. Perhaps we can track these agents as they leave here or detain them if you think it prudent Ricard".

g emp:
I will scale it. Will make post tomorrow

Richard nodded before responding quietly in kind.

"Make the report after breakfast, if you can but do it in a safe location outside of the building. Perhaps on the airship, but I will leave that up to you... Ketchum, the presence of these bounty hunters could perhaps be a blessing. Speak with them and see if you can ascertain exactly who their target is, perhaps even get them on our side... As for me, I'm going to go let our little friend in before he tries to blow up the building..."

after breakfast, Ricard will head to the guards to pay them off with his personal gold to let Illidan in.

Nihil:
You do not have much problems bribing the local PDF here while the adepts are not around. You radio for Illidan that he is able to come into the building again without being destructive.

I will follow Ricard's instructions and transmit the information to the Inquisitor from our ship. If possible I would also like to speak with the Captain again and request that he stay for the duration of the day into the next as our business will soon conclude, if I have to bribe him I can do that.

Once the mission is accomplished I will return to the others so that we can journey to the auction together though whether we should enter all together is another matter.

(Our connection is already a matter of public record.)

Ketchum will fade away after a nod, and track down the bounty hunters as requested.

Mindblade: make either Inquiry roll or straight Fellowship try to and figure out where these 2 bounty hunters are.

Auaxis: you head out to the ship which takes about 30 minutes to get to the port and you still see the ship crew working on it. The captain approaches and greets you. He tells you that the progress on the ship is moving along very nicely and they will be leaving at nightfall so finish up your business inside as soon as possible and they will still be there but there is no amount of thrones in the world that will make them stay on this dreadful island any longer than they need to.

Roj meets Ricard at the maingate looking as intense as ever. " Mi Lord" bowing slightly never taking his eyes off nihil remember his previous treatment.

thoughts:
I know I should be thankful but I sware to goodness if he hits me we are going WAR!!! Right now
"Its good to see you again. How went the viewing of the auction's goods?!!"

Auraxis considers pulling rank as an Acolyte but decides against it, if the ship leaves the Emperor will protect him.

Auraxis heads to the ships astropath to send is message to the Inquisitor. He then heads back to meet with the others getting ready to attend the Auction.

Auraxis: This is a small sea vessel there is no Astropath here. You guys are basically on your own until you can get back to real civilization.

Alright will send the message via dataslate or whatever other means I have at my disposal. As long as it gets there in case something happens to us I am fine with it.

When I return I want to ask Roj what he saw at the crypt.

Inquiry 1d100 ⇒ 94 vs 33

Mindblade: You have no luck finding the 2 Bounty Hunters before the auction begins.

Well, there went that idea. Anyone have any other ideas to try out before the auction house?

Once Roj responds with what he discovered (there may be some useful clue there) I think we are ready to go.

roj memory:
Quote:
You see that the black granite tomb contains two separate doors set flush to its sides with no visible means of opening them. The one on the left side contains a an engraving of a blazing, black sun etched into the black marble that reads, “Death is but a Door,” with a recessed space at the centre in the shape of a hollowed out sunburst. The one on the right is carved with a mass of screaming, distorted faces and reads, “Here Dwell the Children of the Kingdom.”As your taking pictures of this all someone taps you on your shoulder. You turn to look and see a disturbingly tall man in black robes staring down at you. He smells of Ash and Oils."Just because you are here for the acutions does not mean you can defile this sacred place with your witchcraft."

responding to auraxis inquiry roj transmits a photo from his pic/auger to a data slate and shows it to auraxis.
" at the crypt hidden in plan sight were these two passages on the granite tomb that had weird markings. I managed to translate their meaning but my so call witch craft used to sort their meaning got me in a lot of trouble. Several hooded men came about saying I defiled the house when there were no signs say hey thats forbidden here. ... any how. I think its worth looking into but them hooded men are going to be a problem if we are trying for no blood shed."
roj give auraxis the meaning of the markings found death is but a door and here dwell the children of the kingdom

Sardon turns to Ricard, "That will prove to be troublesome. No doubt if we have examined the crypts our foes have as well. Should we all go to the auction or should we split up and watch the crypt while the auction takes place?"

"I have unfinished business in the crypts so I would be more than welcome to accompany anyone going."

Ricard says nothing at first, still examining the data-slate image of the crypt.

God E.:
Can I tell if that's about the right size of the keystone?

It looks like some kind of key would fit in there but not sure if it's the key from the auction.

No, I mean the keystone we took from the clock in the first campaign I have with me.

Oh no that would not fit

The time has come! The auction is upon you and you are asked to head to the auditorium without your weapons. If you insist on bringing your weapons you will not be allowed in and yes you are thoroughly searched before entering.

All the guests are here and there is not much time to chit chat before it officially begins. You see Bland on the stage and each item appears on a hololith projector beside him, the physical objects are arrayed around the gardens with the security measures as before.

Bland speaks "We shall begin with the smaller items and work our way up to the larger ones! Let the auction begin!"

He points to the image of the Silver Key and starts taking bids. Captain Rubio raises his auction wand and bids 10000 thrones.

I will stop at each item in case you guys would like to bid as well remember you only have 1,000,000 thrones at your disposal for the auction items.

Sardon turns to Ricard whispering, "That may be something we want".

Ketchum left his weapons in his room, knowing full well that he could call them if needed. He stayed in his armor, as the helmet hid his face.

Ricard simply nods in turn to Auraxis before raising his wand for 15,000 thrones.

"Ketchum, watch Nonesuch. Inform me if he makes any 'strange' reactions towards any of the items." He will whisper over to Mindblade.

roj will accompany the group to the auction the tomb investigation can come later.
primary objective is the auction
roj scans tht room with his auger/pict recorder cybernetics embedded into his person silently getting snapshots of those in the room. Taking notes of those seen on our transport and check for unknown faces

g emp:
are there any new faces we havent seen. And does a psyscience test leave a trace of disturbance. I am only looking to see if there are new people that have 'abilities' and these items up for auction

Roj Thoughts:
***paranoid as usual***

There are lots of people here, most of the killers and hunters even worst kind of scum these nobles like nihil. I should do them all in before they try to give me the business. I know thats what there thinking but I wont let them. I wont let you stupid F@#$ GET ME YOU HERE... one thing bugs me though no one is concerned to get off this rock.... I remember last time nobles gathered they summoned some dark creature. Its always the same they gather folks die. Well as long as it isnt me....

Ketchum mumbles something about not being able to afford anything and moves to where he can view Nonesuch and his cadre of flunkies.

There is some shifting in the crowd as Nihil bids higher than the good captain and you can see his expresion change a bit as he bids again.

Captain Rubio
"30,000 thrones!"

Mindblade you make your way a bit closer to Nonesuch and his men but don't want to get to close as it will become pretty obvious he is surrounded by 4 serfs in their rag tag robes. He does not appear to be interested in the key at all and is just watching what is going on as his serfs mill about him not saying a word.

Illidan there are a few new faces here as you were not at the original viewing. Psyscience I do not believe disturbs the warp just allows you to become attuned with the ebb and flow of the warp.

Auraxis nods to Nihil to go again.

roj preforms a psy test to scan the area of psykers, demons, warp dabblers of the like
1d100 ⇒ 34 success

roj allows the tides of the ether wash over him to search for others with unique abilities

are those hooded guys in here? How does security look? Are there any cameras or electronic surveillance devices? Gun drones or servitors.

Nihil did not require the encouragement, casually raising his wand a second time

"40,000."

Illidan you get a nose bleed after you reach out with your sense. This room radiates so much warp energy it's insane and hard to tell where exactly it's coming from.

The captain glares at Nihil with the look of disgust and holds his hand on any more votes.

Bland speaks "Going once! Going twice! SOLD for 40,000 thrones!"

You see the credits on your data slate automatically go down.

"You may claim your prize once the auction if over. Next up will the a book unbound"

This is the theater folio filled with loose parchment pages. Nihil got some corruption for skimming it and contained information about eldar corsairs and forgotten inhabitants of the Halo Stars.

Magyar Marshred, the man who always seemed to smile when you met him raises his hand. "100,000 Thrones!"

Is that the one that was part of the cult that kidnapped us?

Yes he is a Beast Slaver. He wears battered looking but functional armour with an old sabre-wolf pelt across his shoulders. His hair and beard is worn ragged and long.

Sardon watches Nonesuch to see if he throws in a competing bid.

Nihil curled his lips in disgust at such a high starting price. They had a million thrones to bid but if he drained all his stock on the beginning, he could very well be out of thrones when it comes down to Nonesuch....

Nihil holds his tongue for now, waiting to see who else will bid on it. If no one else goes for it, he will bid at 101,000.

Nonesuch ignores the big just watching Bland as if he was waiting for the next to be displayed.

No other bids come and Bland starts to speak. "Going once..."

roj wipes his nose and removes all traces of blood

g emp:

Quote:

are those hooded guys in here? How does security look? Are there any cameras or electronic surveillance devices? Gun drones or servitors

roj thoughts:

THIS PLACE IS CRAWLING WITH WARP ENERGY.... IF A DEAMON POPS OUT IM KILLING EVERYONE IN HERE.

ROJ mind goes into over drive at all the potential dangers that could take place but holds any unwanted action

Security is tight here. There are 2 PDF at each exit from this room which there are 4 exits. none of the guests have weapons. The mourners are milling about the room as well. You have not seen Greel yet. As for surveillance you could only assume there is.

Nihil stays his hand on this. After all, he was quite certain Auraxis would like to pay the Beast Master a little visit later anyway.

is the scholar guy whos man I healed present? If so I would like to go buddy up with him

He is there and you start making your way over. He is across the room.

Sold! And now for the next time.[/ooc]

Hologram image of the Bloody Seal apears. This is a gilt seal, the width of a human palm, shows the symbol of the aquila clasping keys in its claws.

i'll let another Forbidden Lore (heresy) test to be made to know what this is.

Lanus Cisten bids first "10,000 thrones!"

But then another voice can be heard Octavia Nile bids "20,000 thrones!"
