Your team makes it to the elevator and it makes it's way to the top of the Harrlocks Folly.

illidan looks at the group
"I Hate Daemons, I have a 0 tolerance policy for them being in my presense.

Illidans bolt rounds plug into the Marshals chest and things seem to move in slow motion as the emperors wrath explodes within the Marshal and the last look on his face is that of disbelief as his body explodes into a million pieces.

Mindblade eventually comes to from the Fatigue Damage but is VERY hurt pushing critical levels of damage.

As the smoke and blood spray finally falls there is still an eerie sensation in the air like it's not over. You look around the room for other enemies but do not see any but have this sensation that something else is here. Looking around a bit you find the mirror behind a sheet with all the pieces put back together except for the one spot where the piece Illidan has on his possession exists.

A half-seen liminous face with a mocking and almost sardonic expression can be seen in the mirror. It speaks in a low raspy voice.

"Well done you have earned my respect." it bows its head slightly.

"I have an offer for you. If you free me from this prison by placing that last shard in place I will leave this place and return to the warp relieving this place of chaos and return the city back to relative peace and also answer any questions you may have within my powers."

It awaits your response.

Before anyone does something drastic like smashing the mirror I'd like to have everyone post a response first so everyone gets a turn and then you guys can make up your minds what to do.

Mindblade reserves his opinion for last, as he is all too curious as to where his newfound associates will come down on this issue.

"Deceitful creature, why should we believe any of your silver tongued lies? How was it you became bound in the first place foul one?"

Auraxis turns to his companions, "Now that we have defeated the Marshal though we do need to determine what to do with these shards, clearly scattering them here on this world was not a successful approach. Perhaps spreading them form world to world or dropping them in the warp would be more suitable after we dismantle the assembled shards?"

illidan points his bolt gun to the mirror fingers itching to pull the trigger
"there will be no deals struck with me, I suggest we drop a different shard into a different black hole where these pieces will never be reached again and this guy here can think about how he was so close to escaping when his plans were foiled by mere morals as he approaches infinity"

Are there any special ways that mirror was pieced or bound back together?

Mindblade turns to Nihil, expectantly.

Nihil sighed quietly to himself and himself alone as he listend to Auraxis and Illidan's responses. He would have expected no less from such pig-headed ignorance. It wasn't even the fact that they did not trust a daemon, which no one in their right mind should... It was the fact that they make such rash and quick tempered threats without weighing the facts.

"Let us not forget why we came here, gentlemen.... Our mission was to discover information as to the whereabouts and or plans of Lord Haarlock, whom we know from the Widow maker shall return soon enough... NOT to save some back water hive world or purge that which may have the information we desire.

Our Inquisitor set for the task for us to learn about Haarlock and from this effort, we have learned nothing save that this creature was bound by Haarlock into this mirror and nothing more. If we destroy this mirror and fully bind him once more, our mission will have been a failure and we will have done nothing more than gained a clear conscience for a short time while we potentially put the entire sector at risk."

Mindblade listens without reaction to the Radical idea. He's not surprised that such would be the Adept's response. He looked back to the others to see if they had been swayed by him.

"Fair enough Lord Dragorus however how can we trust that this Daemon will honor such a bargain even if we were disposed to agree to such terms. Creature tell us about Lord Haarlock's past of which we know a little, if the words ring true perhaps we will free you".

"you have got to be $#@! Me, give me the word and I will put this creature to rest permanently. I can live with a failed mission as long as human life which I believe is more precious than this being is saved. We free him and an entire sector will go down and the hunt begins again. The pain and suffering spread to new worlds and who is to say we will be able to stop him. Who is to say he doesnt kill us all the moment its freed from its just deserve. Im sure it wasnt put in there for its good deeds. Your still in charge SIR BUT I VOTE STRONGLY AGAINST IT." illidan backs away from the mirror to the far side of the room near closet exit. Never lowering his gun from the mirror pissed at the two for even considering striking a bargin with this... this thing...

" Illidan, come to your senses. You cannot kill a creature of the warp. No one can save the Emperor himself. Destroy the warp spawn and it will merely return to the Warp whence it came and will remain there for a few thousand years before it returns, which would do no better than freeing the beast. We have already seen that this binding this... mirror cannot hold it. Even if we did attempt to scatter the shards again, he would merely bide his time and gather them again and what would we have then!? I don't trust the daemonic filth, the same as the rest of you. But this is our only option that will prove of any actual use. "

"Think about the bigger picture Illidan, not what's just infront of you."

This was interesting indeed. Nihil seemed to have swayed Auraxis, but Illidan remained as intractable in his hatred of the daemon as ever. But the pieces, as it were, were beginning to form a more complete picture of the situation. Perhaps sharing what he believed to be the case would tip the scale in one direction or the other.

"Master Illidan, I believe that Haarlock imprisoned this daemon in order to use it to amass even more power. Not to punish it or imprison it. In the warp, time means nothing. Past, present, and future are material concepts. Imagine having a device that could grant glimpses into the future, and what it would mean to the fortunes of a dynasty like the Haarlocks.

"The fact is that, as long as the daemon inhabits the mirror, and by extension the shard that you carry, the mirror cannot be destroyed. It can be broken, and scattered, but the daemon will whisper through the shards to whomever comes across them. Someone of weak enough willpower will fall victim to this daemon's silver tongue, and begin the process anew. Only by severing the daemons connection to the material can we deny his influence in it, if only for a time. And I truly believe that we can only do that by releasing it from the mirror, to it's freedom in the warp, or it's banishment there. If we do not, the Marshall will not be the last to fall to it's insidious influence. And we may not be around to stop it then."

"Speak creature, your words now will determine your fate, free to return to the warp or continued imprisonment".

You can clearly see the daemon feels pain at the questions of his master as if whatever curse has imprisoned it in there is forbidding it from speaking of Haarlock.

"Erasmus broke the mirror before he left..."

Pain gathers on it's face.

"Please you must free me before he returns to plunge these stars of Calyx in to an abyss that none, not even my kind, can escape. I will keep my word and leave this world and remove chaos from this world!"

His expression is truly that of despair.
