Narses Court - Ventrue Table - Cantor, Alessandro, Dunstan
Standing unrepentant of some perceived "sin", Yanos turns back towards Alessandro and Sir Dunstan, "As you can see, 'tween actions, and more importantly reactions and words, only one really mazzers.
"Now zat we each have a bezzer idea of where we all stand, now we can speak of friendships, yes. How, Alessandro, did it feel? Did you fight back for love of her? Or because somethin' told you zat you had love for her and you must do everyzing ta protect your Clan mate? What makes her worzy of yur love? If we are ta support her claim to the,. . . throne," there is a bit of contempt with that word, but otherwise his words seem genuine, not intended to make others question themselves, "zat you would stand for her?"

"Yes it seems both of our lucks have led us to this new life."[b/]
Xing looks around not looking to happy at the gathering.
[b]"Politics don't really suit me but have to do as sire says I'm sure you fall into the same as me. I'm sure even though we are of different clans those differences do not have to interfere with us working together like we have before all this." She smiles.
"I have a question for you I'm actually trying to get in contact with 2 from your own clan and perhaps you have already met them since the changing. Do you know of a Uriel and Sebastian?"

Alessandro Khadaji |

I will try to put into... your terms, so there is no misunderstanding, yes? I was not protecting her. I have no doubt, she could stop you with little effort.
I was simply defending the Ventrue territory that is this table and the sanctity of the Lady Alyssa's honor and personal space. Surely that is something understandable to a man of instinct. Alessandro looks to everyone involved, nodding thanks to those helping reign in the Gangrel.
Looking from Dunstan to Cantor. I think we can find common ground, Cantor. I think we understand each other... You, Dunstan and me, when we strip the veil of civility. Our challenge will be to not let it get to that, between us.
As to any who might stand against us... he shrugs.

"Does your presence here mean that you are prepared to be brought across?" he asks matter of factly.

"What specific information does this Fledgling possess Radek? Thus far I have heard little that is worthy of hearing much less making the decision to bring him across one that you can justify", she states in a monotone voice.
Radek shakes his head in disagreement, "You fail to see the connection? For weeks now, humans have been popping up dead, the victims of obvious attacks by Vampires. So frequently that the Prince declared a Blood Hunt on the Cainite feeding in such a cavalier manner while known hunters of our kind were within this island city.
We now know that it was Fahdi who committed such crimes. We also know that in direct violation of the Prince's laws, Fahdi was mainitaining tabs on and in fact placed a mole within the organization of hunters.
This clears all others of wrongdoing and also allows the Prince to place the blame solely on Fahdi as the target of the Blood Hunt.
This Fledgling is also useful for the for the first hand knowledge he has of the hunter and his organization and tactics".
Mistress Fanchon, "I fail to see how this is relevant to Clan Tremere's interests..."
K'haytall cuts in, "This also justifies the announcement of this Cainite as Anathema to your Camarilla does it not Mistress?"

Rafael watches you shift the chair and shifts his to mirror what you have done.
"An interesting line of questions. Generally these discussion start with 'what can you do for me'. Quite refreshing. I believe that my Clan is on the forefront, as I explained downstairs, of culture and maintaining culture. The maintenance of culture is the maintenance of civilization. The buttress of order against chaos.
My Sire is quite old and powerful, her Sire told her of our existence before the advent of cities. No better than ancient man were we, living in caves scrounging for food, on guard against the skinchangers seeking to hound us at every turn.
Chaos is a recipe to revisit such times. The fall of Rome nearly saw such times repeat themselves. Our existence prevents that.
For myself, I believe that I can guide the Clan to continue on such a course and disseminate this idea among all of my line. We must cultivate humanity, not rule it openly. That way lies ruin".

"I am , by Cainite standards very young. So I thank you for sharing with me insight into the greater picture far beyond my ken. Francois has ambitions, but then again, with the exception of the Artisian, I think every member of the Toreador I have met tonight does. This is not necessarily a bad thing," The Innkeeper turned vampire takes another pause, a thoughtful look in his eyes," You spoke of Michael's time, and Helene's time... it would seem even among the Children of Caine, there are endings. There must be, or there will be no new beginnings. I feel a great debt to my Sire, and perhaps that colors my new eyes, but Helene shows a complacency, a sense of entitlement that I dislike. I think, if she is chosen for this role, she will attempt to use this new Sect were are forming as merely an extension of her place in the Court of Love. If Francois is chosen, he will instead promote this sect with a passion and drive she would never deliver. It will not be easy for him, change rarely is, but I think he will surprise you, and for the better if you give him a chance. I think the short term risk to Clan Toreador is worth the long term gain to this new Sect and all Kindred in the centuries to come. I'm no prophet, I seek to promote music most of all, but I know others have their own dreams. As a sect, we can aid each other in reaching them. We won't achieve those dreams and goals by handing power over to the already smugly content. I think Francois is the better choice, Lord. And I hope you will vote for him."

Bajazet turns to you Giovanni, "Tell me my Childe, what do you make of these claims by this Leper?"
Gio looks quite surprised as he turns to consider the Nosferatu claiming to be an apostle. He turns back to his master and shakes his head. "This new life is a world of wonders, my lord, and if monsters can walk among men why not legends among monsters?" He gestures at Simon and gives the Nosferatu an apologetic smile. After all, Fahdi Mohammad was proclaimed Anathema before these revelations have been shared. This flies in the face of the Third Tradition - Progeny. Only the Eldest in a Domain may grant permission to Sire another of our ilk, no matter the Clan.
Under the strict rules of the Third Tradition both Sire and Childe are to be condemned to Final Death for such a transgression".
Magdalena nods at Mistress Fanchon's argument, "This is an inescapable logic Tremere. I shall make my recommendations to the Prince and he shall make his ruling tomorrow evening as Court opens. You should all be here, early".
As she turns to leave K'haytall speaks up, "While the logic is inescapable, it is also inescapable that the Third Tradition has been broken no less than ten times by the assembled delegates here in Court as we speak. In fact, two of the Fledglings in this very room were Sired without the permission of Narses and his decree was to force them to attend a blood feast later this night. It seems the Traditions apply only to those who do not have or seek a place in a leadership role of this... Camarilla".
Mistress Fanchon's eyes narrow at the Setites comments. The Lasombra visibly flinches, neither reply as Magdalena walks out.
Mistress Fanchon heads to the mantle and gathers the candles and skull she had placed there, "Enjoy your last night of freedom Michael Santo, you may want to consider using it to get a head start..." she comments as she walks out of the room herself.

Robin sits, "This whole scene is a show for the masses. It is being used to convince the younger Cainites that they should stay in line and not rise against their Elders. The presence of you Fledglings confirms that theory for me. They will point to your "standing" as proof that there is justice and fairness within the ranks of this Sect. Soon enough the justice will run one way with the Elders clamping down on the young and punishing them excessively for minor transgressions.
You will remain here in gilded cages, blind to these machinations. That is your purpose here and nothing more.
I and those of a like mind seek to break from these ancient traditions. To bring freedom to us all to act as we would wish to and not live under the thumb of our Elders forever.
The Elders are afraid, many of the worst of their ilk have been laid low or removed from their places of power. Many more of us have fallen but there is hope at least there will be provided that the Elders do not band together. Combined they will oppress those younger than they. As our kind are practical immortals there is no where to go in the hierarchy".
