It's all up to you and what you'll have fun with in the end. If you want flashy I'd go for electricity. But then again I have an affinity for air based and flying things so it all comes down to personal preference again. Honestly, as long as the character is interesting and is played well I don't think anyone will complain about too much fire flying about.

oooh... fire!!! The little pyromaniac gnome wouldn't mind more fire! But like the others said - it's up to you... You could go cold too - fire things tend to be vulnerable to cold and that way we'd have more bases covered.

Oh the fun parts wont be a problem but I also like to have a niche to fill. Fionn if I was going to go fire I was actually toying with the idea of asking you if you had any siblings as I saw your parents passed away when Fionn was young and we were separated lol. That said I'll figure something out.
Getting along with the group won't be an issue. My characters tend to be pretty go with the flow.
Is Daway using Psionics btw?

Just for an option I'm working on.

yes.. Fionn has at least one sister... there could be more! I never addressed siblings in her history but who knows ... there could have been a passel of them for all I know! That could be a fun background twist.

Sorry I missed that she was up somehow... maybe we can ret-con a meeting with her... or talk to her after our first foray into the monastery... something tells me we are gonna be doing the monastery for a bit - it looks big and we might need to come out and rest/recover before continuing on.

Please check my post, as soon as I woke up, I went to Delphi's tent...
Arizhel wakes well rested, and immediately summons Zerika before heading to Delphina's tent to check on the burned woman.

Ok I have the build together. I am working on backstory now.
I'd like to have some tie in with the group so once I post up we can see if it fits anywhere. If not that's fine too though.
The character's name is Malak Al'Qaum. He is a Keleshite Tattooed Sorcerer with the Orc bloodline. He is descended from a mighty Orc warlord chieftain of old. His family emigrated after the tribe was wiped out by a confederation of nearby kingdoms threatened by the chiefs warmongering tendencies.
I'm still working on the rest of the backstory but thats the start of it.

Should be able to help with the blasting a bit as my Burning Hands spell does 4d4+4 damage right now. :-)

Thus the full-round withdraw (aka: the running chicken). Lets fight them on our own terms. Preferably around a corner or something so the archers cant pick at us. Maybe those side rooms just off the sanctuary? if not that, back through the collapsed walls and make a stand just outside?

My final thoughts of the night.
1) Grease makes rafters slippery as hell.
2) Fire make things have to move.
3) Old fabric and wood burn well.
4) We have pyromaniacal gnomes around.
5) Zerika has her trusty crossbow, which lights fires at a distance, and you don't have to be very accurate..
Edit:
6) This is primarily a stone structure, correct?

Fionn would say light em up too... we can't hurt the building much more than it's already been hurt - it's not like we have enough firepower to set the entire building on fire... and she thinks Sarenrae would approve of cleansing the temple with flame.

A desert-dried, greased, wooden ceiling will burn very well. It will literally damage the rest of the structure and reduce the shelter benefit of the place significantly.
Heck, portions of the burning ceiling WILL fall into the other rooms, destroying a significant portion of whatever else may be here to recover.

Ok avatar is up as is character sheet.
Background:
Descended from a great Orc Warlord of Belkzen. Durgrosh Skysunder was a warrior of great skill and power but he knew that the only way to keep his rule was to continuously keep the orcs at war and giving them further opportunity for conquest. Eventually he overextended in an incursion into Varisia through the Cinderlands where his army was decimated by the Varisian force. During the raids he took a beautiful human sorceress as his concubine and before the war was over had a son. The sorceress came to love Durgrosh and she and her infant son fled Varisia in fear of reprisal on the small child due to his parentage. Eventually she settled in Katapesh where the family has been ever since, the family passing down the story of Durgrosh's greatness from generation to generation throughout the years. The sorceress also imparted the secret of Varisian tattoo magic to the family which it has kept secret down through the years.
Malak's mother fled Kelmarane with him when he was a small boy and had Malak vow, even though he didn't fully understand at that point, that he would fight to reclaim what was lost. He was made to promise that never again would the family be forced to flee their homes. To take back what was rightfully his.
The promise and vow was forgotten for a time until it was brought back up on his mother's deathbed. Reminded of the vow and not wanting to break his word to his mother nor leave her dying wish unfulfilled, he set off to find a way to do just that.

Malak might have seen me in the markets, but I can almost guanantee I don't remember him as I would have been serving one of my high class noble Masters then and wholly concerned with my assigned task. I also would stick out, but for the opposite reason Taldor gave. I was an Exotic, a rare race with rare features or qualities that is kept as living trophies and highly trained house-slaves. I have recently fallen out of style (literally) thus the chance to earn my freedom.
And a CHA of 20. Good gosh, he has both the bards and I all beat. So many strong personalities in this game. I like it.

Yeah I am pretty sure I will be spending most of my time standing behind Taldor and the other fighters as I am extremely squishy and fragile lol.
Appearance BTW: Malak is extremely good looking and has a raw almost animal magnetism to his demeanor. He is extremely thin with soft looking muscles. He seems to be perpetually covered by shadow which only adds to the mysterious quality of his deep dark eyes that have the very slightest flecks of red in them. Tattoos encircle his neck and bald bronze head. Mostly they are tribal in look with a few orcish, kelish, and varisian words sprinkled in saying things like "power" and "freedom" and "strength". He has a large tattoo on his right shoulder in the shape of a creature like a winged reptile of some sort. It looks like this only in black ink and the wings trail down over his chest in the front and shoulder blade in the back.
As far as ties, it sounds like at the least I may have seen a few of you around as you said. We'll see what Daway wants to do to incorporate me.
