Just need Kara, Arizhel, and Khatijah to join the fray. :)

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

As far as I can tell, only Khatijah left to act.

Edit: first post on both second pages. I'll take this as a sign that I post too much. :P

Haha! I can't help but picture a fleeing goat getting nearly decapitated, yet not really hurt, flying through the air and landing in an unconscious heap.

enlarged dwarf with a warhammer..."it twas just a tap i swear!"

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Arizhel? I hope she didn't forget.

Grand Lodge

I SHALL KNOCK OUT ALL THE THING!

M Gnome Sorcerer (Elemental Fire) 4

I'm glad Taldor is having fun, but somehow I think he's hurting the mood of the herd more than he's helping.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

I agree, but it is in character, as least. Maybe Kara can convince him to serve as more of a herder than a bruiser.

And I won't say I don't still chuckle at the mental image. :P

Grand Lodge

Well I did give them a minute to calm down with someone else's help, but apparently that didn't work. An unconscious animal doesn't cause problems lol

Female Halfling Bard (Dervish Dancer) 4 - HP:22/29 AC:18/14/15 CMD:16 F:3 R:8 W:4 P:7 Init:+3

I'm sure someone familiar with battle or war or fighting would have no trouble at all identifying the fact that Taldor's using nonlethal damage. Kara is none of those things. Also, ooc I have no problem at all with you doing it and it's a pretty unique solution. How Kara reacts is a completely different thing though.

Grand Lodge

ohh im sorry i forgot about your background/upraising. indeed, and Taldor wouldn't have had the foresight to tell everyone what he's doing. i really hope there's a druid in the area LOL

Female Human Fighter 1 (HP: 9/16 NL:2 AC 16/11/15: F +4, R +1, W+2, Per:+1, Init: +1)

True but it also doesn't help much either.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Honestly the animals can probably wait. They won't go too far being domesticated. And if they run they'll be easy to track in the scrub brush and sand. I think Tolus's next turn shouting will be to call him back. :)

Grand Lodge

or after the burning wagon gets cleared out of people i could just flip it over. stop drop and roll works for those things too lol

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Haha, it may work, but I think Mas'ud is the only one who could do that without suffering serious burns.

M Gnome Sorcerer (Elemental Fire) 4

Resist FIVE. Walking on lava is 2d6. Immersion in lava is 20d6. There's a LOT of fire Mas'ud can't simply ignore, BEFORE you invoke magical fire!

Right now it is kind of a cheap ability, but that Fire in the Blood (or whatever the correct name is) can eventually ROCK! Being exposed to fire (damage dealt to Mas'ud) activates Fast Healing 2 for 1 round. Said damage does NOT have to penetrate the Resistance to activiate this ability! It is currently kind of cheap because the healing received under this ability caps at 2 x character level per day.

I figure Mas'ud is in far more danger from lack of oxygen than he is from this more typical fire.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Still, fast healing x is better than fast healing 0. It may be capped kinda low, but at our lvl any healing is good. All you need to do is carry a lighter around and you can have healing whenever. You need to look into the feat (maybe spell, cant temember) that grants healing from fire. Forget it's name though.

Lantern Lodge

just a heads up. I am going to be camping in the middle of a national forest from thursday to monday. I should be able to post again on tuesday.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

I hope we can finish this before then, but if not it's no big deal.

Edit: today is Wednesday, never mind. :P

Grand Lodge

i meant slamming it with my hammer lol

That's the Go-ahead for non-turn restricted role play?
We could RP the clean-up and such. I assume the princess will want to see us Tuesday, yes?

Lantern Lodge

Male

yes, and the body that was pulled out is badly burned at the arms, in fact they are blackened, and is clearly female with short hair, it appears to have flame in her hair that will not go out no matter how many times you attempt to do so.

The princess will look forward to meeting with you on tuesday.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Just curious: Does anyone here plan to take dazzling display or to otherwise constantly demoralize foes (or make them shaken/frightened/panicked)? If so then I'm going to build Tolus toward an archery-based rogue and pick up shatter defenses for many ranged sneak attacks, if not then I'll just go standard TWF and get my sneak attacks through flanking.
(In addition to my plans for all the poison use. I mean, when you can poison a weapon as a swift action, why wouldn't you?)

M Gnome Sorcerer (Elemental Fire) 4

Mas'ud is not going to intrude on your described path . . ..

Grand Lodge

i'm gonna end up taking every 'improved' combat feat, so i can basically bull rush/trip/disarm/sunder/etc whenever i want

Female Human Fighter 1 (HP: 9/16 NL:2 AC 16/11/15: F +4, R +1, W+2, Per:+1, Init: +1)

I tend towards the killing them is better than demoralizing route. After all, if they're dead, how can they fight back? ;)

Grand Lodge

oooh you need to play with Nareth. LN cleric of Zon-Kuthon, and the best interrogator ever

I plan on building along which ever lines seem most appropriate given the circumstances. If I am weak in combat, I will take combat oriented feats, otherwise, I plan on building towards RP ideas, like the Childlike and well-prepared feats.... So until I see how the campaign is unfolding, I will have no idea what I will do with my character. For now, I just assume that having a fiery miasma of doom plant a harrowing card on one's chest is not a good sign...

Female Human Fighter 1 (HP: 9/16 NL:2 AC 16/11/15: F +4, R +1, W+2, Per:+1, Init: +1)

That's how I do most of the time. Talliree is the only one of my characters that has a clear plan.

Grand Lodge

i usually like having a clear plan. usually i can see what my character plans on doing up to about lv 10

Female Halfling Bard (Dervish Dancer) 4 - HP:22/29 AC:18/14/15 CMD:16 F:3 R:8 W:4 P:7 Init:+3

I'll be doing TWF with Kukris and spending most of my feats on improving that. I'd love to take dazzling display but not sure if I'll have room for it anywhere. Maybe I should plan this out...

M Gnome Sorcerer (Elemental Fire) 4

Kara:

I built a TWF character for my Jade Regent game. As a pure fighter, he didn't have any spare feats to burn on things like Dazzling Display until WAY late in character advancement. Not having all the fighter feats reduces the number of these you'll qualify to take, but it also reduces the number you CAN take by more than that.

Huh, looks like lots of two weapon people. I'll build toward something else then. Wouldn't want to get repetitive. :)

I only see two listed: you and Kara.

Female Halfling Bard (Dervish Dancer) 4 - HP:22/29 AC:18/14/15 CMD:16 F:3 R:8 W:4 P:7 Init:+3

I believe Khatijah is using the TWF Fighter archetype.

Female Human Fighter 1 (HP: 9/16 NL:2 AC 16/11/15: F +4, R +1, W+2, Per:+1, Init: +1)

yerp.

And there is a reason the girl has so many knives and ranks in sleight of hand. >:)

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Indeed, two are TWFing already (not counting me) and we have no archery at all, but deway said this would be a challenging group. If we had constant demoralization going on then I could go archery, but the damage is pitiful otherwise.
TWF is the standard for rogues, but I'm researching alternatives. Honestly, it may be standard for a reason and we'll end up with 3 TWF'ers anyway.

Female Human Fighter 1 (HP: 9/16 NL:2 AC 16/11/15: F +4, R +1, W+2, Per:+1, Init: +1)

You can make an archer rogue work. Point-Blank Shot and Precise Shot are the two must have feats for it, Deadly Aim is also nice, as it allows you to Power Attack with a bow.. Invest heavily in stealth and perception (which you should do anyway) and you should be peachy. You'll be up front, a lot, but you only have to be in 30' feet to Sneak attack.

HP 50/50; AC 23, (T 13, FF 20); saves fort 5, refl 2, will 7 (+4 v s fear/despair);bab 3 melee 3, ranged 4; CMB 3, CMD 17; init +3; cleric (theologian)/5 F gnome

We may have no very skilled archers, but we do have a cleric with a crossbow LOL... so at least we have one ranged attack, even if it will be a challenge to hit with it. She's just generally challenged in a direct fight anyway, she's more a support squad with some blasting power... though how much her firepower will do is questionable since I'm guessing we are likely going to be facing things that are resistant or immune to fire.

But you guys are gonna all need healing, so I'm guessing Fionn's going to be handy to have around regardless.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Clerics are handy no matter what, you're right.

As to the archery, I can't sneak attack unless I'm in a flank with a partner or they're somehow flat-footed or denied their dex. I found a list somewhere of everything that does that. I'll have to find it again.

Grand Lodge

also remember guys, with my huge amount of feat's i will quickly become battlefield control. i'll disarm, trip, bull rush, and basically physically do whatever i want with anything less than huge size, so 3 people TWF at the defenseless enemy on the ground might be good lol

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

Tolus's disembodied puppet-master fidgets almost uncontrollably in anticipation of what Khahijah's disembodied puppet-master might type in reply. (while researching, naturally) :P

I am not posting frequently at the moment, though I am reading all the posts.. Arizhel is a coward at heart and she is just starting to realize it. She is afraid, and now pondering what kind of omen the card was. As the adventure progresses and she (hopefully) survives, she will become more outgoing and more confident. At the moment, she is the only person here who doesn't seem to know her way around any weapon beyond simple weapons. Not a heartening experience.

Yesterday I had 4 children at the eye doctor, and today 5 children and a spouse at the dentist. This weekend we are camping, but I have an iphone with mobile hotspot, a laptop, and my car has a 110v outlet. So I hope to have limited access.

If not, see you all Monday evening!

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

No worries. Life happens. Tolus will try to engage all the characters in turn, or at least I hope to. Maybe Rolus can help her come out of her shell a bit

Hey when all you know is slavery and fighting that tends to be what the conversations revolve around. :) On the other hand, once the adventure really gets going, I'm sure we'll have plenty of other things to talk about.

Indeed, though the only reason it was brought back up was azariel's comments. Tolus spoke quietly to prevent a bar scene re-visit. I didn't want to leave the poor shy summoner out of the group. :). And I thought it a good time for Tolus to make a tiny step forward and truly recognize the validity of his new friends experiences by acknowledging that slavery wasn't always a good prospect.

HP 8/8 AC:16/13/13 F+1 R+3 W+3 (+2vs Poison) CMD 13 Per+5, Init+9

So right now looks like
1st: Mas'ud/khatijah
2nd: Taldor/ Azariel
3rd: Tolus/ Finn

No word on Kara, but as is she doesn't really have to. She can just fall in wherever she wants.
