Sounds good.
And we can scroll up the ring (of 3 wishes) later...when we hit the big score! :)
DMummy
I'll be honest with you guys this section of the AP is, in fact, probably only fun at a real life table. You've got several obelisks you need to visit and some random encounters on the way so if you'd like we can sort of...skip this? It is not PbP friendly sad to say.

Good with whatever- don’t want to create a drag on GM either :)

Sorry for my absence again. I am okay with either And I am not leaving this game unless I die in real life ;).
I am at the doctor again, but will be catching up on my games soon.

Dang Tariq! Stay healthy...otherwise I only have Noonan to pester!
Glad to have you back.

I am having surgery any day now. I am going to try to catch up. I have missed you guys.

Oh wow. Do take care of yourself and wishing speedy recovery. We will be here when you get back. :)

You find a chest of gold coins worth 7,000 gp, two drums of pure crystalline water, untainted by anything in a way that tells Noonan and Shad (soon to return via me I'm afraid!) it comes from the Elemental Plane of Water that would fetch 200 gp each, a beautiful puzzle box that rattles, Disable Device or Intelligence check to open, when you pick it up, a small khopesh of unusually high quality that is not enchanted, a wand, a collection of petrified acorns of unusual size, a book in Ancient Osiriani, a wonderfully made cat-shaped mask that banishes shadows as you look through it, Goggles of Night, a masterfully worked flail that throws off waves of thunder as you swing it +2 thundering flail, and finally a set of armor skillfully made out of glistening black hetkoshu scales rhino hide armor.
Noonan3
The book itself is a book of puzzles, you're sensing a theme, that are cunning and interesting. Make an Intelligence or Linguistics check!
If you take the time to poor over the abundance of scrolls you find a number of interesting ancestral and tax records from -1653 AR worth a tidy sum to the right buyer (1,250 gp in total.)
You also find a collection of scrolls describing elementals and outsiders that the Sky Pharaoh bound - one in particular is particularly interesting. Make a (separate) Linguistics check!

So GM - I have not even looked at 2e PF, how do you like it? It sounds like simplified rules for combat (per your haste comment). Any major likes/dislikes?
DMummy
My only major dislike is the fact that there's not enough player build options - coming from PF1e every system seems like it's lacking mechanical options for that.
I really like running it from a GM perspective: combat is great, the feats are much better since they're logical and have a big variety, it's very hard to make a bad character, skills are useful in combat all the time (which is weird) building and running encounters is vastly superior since you're not doing a toe-to-toe hit box all the time. It can be really swingy however since now critical hits happen not just on a 20 (or 19) but also when you exceed a target number by 10.
One strange things is that the math is very, very tight: every +1 makes a huge difference which is a change but thankfully it's hard to create super characters that end combat in a single round.

Very helpful summary. Thanks for the insights. :)
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
Noonan, since I didn’t get hit so hard because of the Haste limitation, do you want to save your heal spell and use a different method?

Sorry guys I was locked out of my account for days!
I had to email Paizo Support.
But looks like I am back on now!

No worries. I have been waiting a month for my son's account to be approved/created. So I think Customer Support is just way behind on reading emails. :(

Not sure all of you have seen this Paizo login post. Hopefully yes.

As you look at the jars and the sculpture a long-forgotten piece of inforamtion floats into your mind. Each jar will most likely be filled with a liquid that looks like milk - within this foul-smelling fluid lies suspended a single centipede-like insect, coiled tightly into a ball—the result of a long-forgotten Shory practice of separating and materializing a fragment of knowledge via intense magical focus into a semi-living physical incarnation of lore known as a cenovath, or “crawling thought.”
If you consume one of the insects, called a cenovath, you could gain knowledge preserved for Hakotep's servants. It is said that such insects once consumed could confer a burst of inspiration to virutally any skill but to try and consume more than one while hoarding its kernel of knowledge could be hazardous.
Fun note! Eating a cenovath grants the eater a +4 insight bonus on any one skill check; the user can apply this bonus to any skill check of its choice as a free action; once the bonus is applied, the insight (and bonus) gained fades away forever. You also get a one-time possible fun bonus so if you choose to eat one roll 1d100!
But be warned! If you consume a cenovath while the previous bonus is still awaiting use, it suffers a splitting headache and takes 1d4 points of Intelligence damage; consuming this second cenovath does not increase the number of bonuses granted or the magnitude of the insight bonus granted.
