I think Granite's set. I switched up his spells to enlarge/reduce person since mage armor didn't seem like it'd be useful to anyone. Also swapped out his witch hex from evil eye to healing hex.

DM YRRAH SINNED |

Are we settled with builds and character creation?
Ah forgot I had an open question for Zhai, whenever you get to it!

DM YRRAH SINNED |

Finally better and back to posting.
Zhai, this week we will finally resolve the open items with your character.

DM YRRAH SINNED |

Long week at work including today. I will update either early in the morning or in the evening tomorrow. But tomorrow for sure. The long hours were good though as I am now caught up and can actually start to post regularly again. To say the least I did not realize how backed up I was at work till I returned to the office!
I will also get to you tomorrow AlicornSage. Ugh so much to do...

Ikit the White |

Hey folks. Just saying work is putting me under a lot of stress. Will be back to posting by the weekend

Ran, the Masked |

Looking forward to it, Ikit!
I think this is Zhai's scene anyway...I'm just in a habit of posting after each GM post, even if only having minor things to add. I feel it makes things easier as GM knows if I have nothing else to do, and I keep involved with scenes even if I'm on a sideline.

Ran, the Masked |

So, what should we do? Do we have other reasonably good leads to follow?
I would like to point out that he seemed eager enough to do business, until Zhai a.: gave a name, and b.: told him we have no issues with her(has not wronged us).
Chances are that knowing who this is about brought about his change of mind...and if he was benevolent towards Natalya, he would likely opt to cooperate with us in finding out more.
So right now, I'm not totally opposed to beating up his goons and forcing him to tell us more. Not the nice approach, but then, it's not nice to call bouncers on paying customers, either...

Ran, the Masked |

Me I'd beat these goons! :-)
Right...advice by the GM...let me think about that for a moment...

Hmmmm. My table top players say the same thing. ...

Ran, the Masked |

When I cheerfully give my players advice, they freeze in terror.
-_-
They are unsure if the trap is in doing what I suggest, or in doing the opposite...they often try and opt for a third, suboptimal option, even if there never was a trap in the first place.
Great to get them back on track if they derail the plot, though.

Granite Ward |

Granite is not a fan of the idea of taking on almost twice our number when they've effectively got the drop on us. I would say go talk to the guard to see if she's been arrested. We can come back here later and light his tent on fire try to have a more private chat.

Ran, the Masked |

Oh, damn right we'll light his tent on fire!
I'll put his name on the list. If we survive, in about 4 or 5 levels, we'll be back, and I fully intend to make him grovel at my feet as he gives me back that gold coin(Zhai's, technically, but I'll reimburse her so he's indebted to me instead) with interest...which then goes to the street urchin fund.

I'm not sure Granite approves of this plan, but I certainly do. Although my plan was to start working on completely ruining his reputation in Magnimar. Less for terrible fake fortune telling and more for using thugs to rob customers.

Storyteller Shadow |

FYI, I will NOT be updating this thread again until Tuesday or Wednesday as I need to kick off a new campaign tomorrow night.

Ran, the Masked |

FYI: While I expected to be able to post during the combined work/private trip over the weekend, life had different plans. I'll be attending a funeral tomorrow and it's kept me busy the past 2 days, too.
I will try and post again as soon as possible, please do bot as needed.

Ikit the White |

I had a bit of a relapse with my depression... will try to get things back on track asap

Ikit the White |

Sorry guys. Power was out for 3 days. Hard time charging my phone even

DM YRRAH SINNED |

Getting too late tonight to update and I have Table Top tomorrow night, updates Saturday.

Storyteller Shadow |

Why is Fenster asking us about tower girls?
Cause he's crazy like a fox? ;-)

DM YRRAH SINNED |

Sent Ran a PM.
Based on Ikit's roll and the spoiler, it would appear that the local Tower Girl is the one you have been sent to find by the Pathfinder Society!

Ran, the Masked |

Once again, plans in real-life simply don't work out.
I was to attent a training workshop most of this week, and expected to have plenty of time to post during the nights at the hotel, so was a bit lazy last weekend and spend time preparing for the trip.
Little did I know that we only met up at the hotel, then moved by bus to a cabin in the mountains for teambuilding purposes. No phone, no Wi-Fi, and even if we had, no time to post.
It was a very interesting experience, but yeah, sorry for going MIA/AWOL, I'm back and will make sure to catch up on all my games and post ASAP.

DM YRRAH SINNED |

Just a heads up that I'm going to be on vacation/traveling starting on Wednesday May 24th though June 7th. Bot me as necessary
OK!

DM YRRAH SINNED |

After two bad weeks the next few weeks should be much lighter, except for tomorrow, and I'll be striving to update every two to three days here.

Storyteller Shadow |

The boards have been a mess since last Wednesday night. As a result I have fallen behind in all games. I'll get to this one within the next few nights if not tonight.

Storyteller Shadow |

Hopefully the boards are stable again (they have been this morning) and I can get out updates over the next two days.

Ran, the Masked |

Hej. Feeling fine again. Got worse before it got better.
Plus, once I was feeling a bit less ill, I had the bright idea of working on updating my computer system while I was home anyway, which caused some further problems with being able to go online.(Installing W7 on a M2 drive from USB is a mess by itself, certain boxed intel chips come without cooler, and I had no PCIe solution for Wifi(I use cards, not usb connectors)).
Either way, I'm back now and will catch up with all my games plus post today(within about 12 hours). Apologies for going missing. I did update some of my games when I originally fell ill, but not all - assuming I could post somewhat normally for those not moving at too fast a pace.

Storyteller Shadow |

Just an FYI I will be taking 2 DM board breaks in the month of July:
1. July 2 through July 4 and
2. July 8 through July 11.
During this time I will be working on plot for some of the Campaigns as well as updating Campaign Information tabs for all Campaigns.

Zhai Tamaki |

Wasn't the building built over the water? That was my impression anyway.
Edit: Okay so the collection pools were sewer pools, I missed that, but since we knew that before even opening the door, that implies folks could at least look down there and see under the build or at least portions of it.
Either way, that is most likely the escape route. The only other possibility (of any reasonable chance anyway) is into a tunnel into the cliff, but that would be far less desirable unless they collapse it after them.

Ran, the Masked |

It had a moat of sewage water, not sure whats underneath.
It could be an escape route, surely. As could be jumping out of a window on the roof of a neighboring building. Or a secret door to the north or east. Or simply climbing out a window and running away on the street.(especially breaking a floor-level boarded-up one from the inside)
What I'm trying to say is that if they try crawling away from below the house(sewers or not), we can still try and catch them. If we're the ones crawling around in the sewage while they use a different exit strategy we won't be able to catch up in time first needing to make our way back to the street at ultra-low speed(prone+difficult terrain, I'd expect if theres space below the building - if we're not down in sewers to begin with).
Plus, purely in-character, Ran is not fond of the idea of wading around in sewage on the off-chance it could be helpful while leaving the main entrance unguarded :)
Just saying thats not (IC) being pissed about being ordered around or something like that, its simply about avoiding the sewage.
