Addie is standing in the back of the group, trying to judge what would be her best action when she feels something glance off of her back, as she turns to see an imp.

The tiefling rogues launch their attacks at Morghrim and Kevorin, trying to defend their master's lair. With one strike finding a weakness in the half-orc's armor. Kevorin takes 5 damage.

Bron moves forward toward the horned tiefling and takes a swing with his flail, but failing to make contact with the hulking tiefling.

The group hears the sound of chanting from back in the chamber to the south.

Spellcraft DC16:
It is the beginning of a Sleep spell.

Rolls:

Attack on Addie:1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 = 11

If attack is successful Fort Save DC14; If Save fails, take 1d2 ⇒ 1 STR damage

Attack on Morghrim:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Attack on Kevorin:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Damage:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Bron's Attack:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Valeron, Morghrim, Addie, and Kevorin are up.

Round Two (Free Action):
Spellcraft check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Was Addie successful in using her scroll to cast Enlarge Person on Morghrim? I guess that would take effect at the start of her turn...

Morghrim is up, unless he chooses to delay until after Addie's turn, so he can be large before taking his actions.

Round Two:
Addie gives the imp an irritated glance as she finishes casting the spell on her scroll. Within the midst of the battle, Morghrim grows to the size of a small giant as the mystical energies released from Addie's scroll take effect.

That task complete, Addie fixes the imp with a baleful glare, instilling a sense of doubt and dread into its mind as she hisses

in Infernal:
"You have raised the ire of this servant of The Gentleman for the last time, irritating imp!"

Standard action to use Evil Eye Hex on the imp: it takes a -2 penalty to saving throws for a duration of 7 rounds; Will DC 15 reduces this duration to 1 round.

Kevorin tries to feint the hulking beast, but fails to distract him. Kevorin none-the-less sinks the blade of his greataxe deep into the shoulder of the horned tiefling, but yet the monsterous tiefling still stands.

But generally not looking too good....Wart is up.

Male Halfling Alchemist : 4

Wart steps quickly out from behind the corner to see what is troubling Addie.

Upon seeing the imp, Wart grins devilishly behind his mask. He chuckles softly as he pulls a silver coin out of his pouch and says,

"Come now, I have been waiting for you..."

In a quick motion, he drops the coin into the sling, and launches it at the Imp.

Actions & Rolls:

  • Free action: 5ft step to U6
  • Move Action: Load sling
  • Standard Action: Attack Imp with Silver coin
  • Attack vs. Imp: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
  • Damage if applicable: 1d3 ⇒ 3 Bludgeoning, Silver
  • Grand Lodge

Wart loads up his sling with a silver coin and launches the coin at the imp. The imp nimbly dodges the projectile, sticks his tongue out at Wart and disappears from view again.

The tielfling foot soldiers again attack Morghrim and Kevorin, with all attemps being quite unsucessful, you are unsure if this is from incompetence or being demoralized.

Bron moves out of the tight quarters that he shared with Morghrim, attacks the last known location of the imp, hitting nothing but air.

The arcane casting tiefling back in the open chamber finishes his spell, targeting Morghrim. Then targets Kevorin with another spell, as two glowing blueish-white bolt of energy hit Kevorin squarely in the chest.

    Kevorin takes another 8 damage.

    Spellcraft DC16:

    Morghrim, DC 15 Will Save:
If you fail, Morghrim falls asleep. If you succeed, no effect.

The inquisitor easily sloughs off the effects of the tiefling's spell, drops his glaive, pulls his battle axe and chops at the horned tiefling, but misses wildly, scrapping the blade of the axe on the stone ceiling, still not having become accustom to his new increased size.

Valeron, Addie, and Kevorin are up.

    Round Three:
Addie begins to laugh maniacally, disconcerting her friends as well as the invisible imp (if it is still within 30 feet of her). In the midst of her mad cackling, she casts a spell upon herself to allow her to see invisible creatures.

Move action to use Cackle Hex: extends the duration of her previously used Evil Eye Hex on the imp by 1 round if it is still within 30 feet of her - it will continue to have a -2 penalty to saving throws during Round Four. Standard action to cast See Invisibility on self.

    Now...Wart is up.

    Grand Lodge

Wart, unable to see past a rather large dwarf, or where an imp has disappeared to, delays.

    Perception 35 or Addie:
You see/hear the imp fly down the hallway you entered your current chamber from.

One rogue goes through the door he recently opened.

    Perception DC25:
You hear the sound of stone scrapping on stone

The remaining rogues move forward to engage Morghrim and the severely injured Kevorin.

    Rolls:

    Attack on Morghrim:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
    Damage:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

    Attack on Kevorin:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
    Damage:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Bron delays, pending the health of Kevorin or the appearance of the imp.

The tiefling wizard fires another pair of bolts of energy, this time at Morghrim.

    Damage:
    2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8

Morghrim takes 8 from the spell, Kevorin takes 4 from a tiefling's sword. Wart (delayed), Bron (delayed), Valeron, Addie, Morghrim, and Kevorin are up.

    Round Four:
Addie steps past Wart into the next chamber. "The imp flew away down the hallway we came from," she announces as she takes in the battle scene.

Looking past Morghrim's enlarged bulk, Addie calls on the power granted to her by The Gentleman to place a hex on the wounded tiefling standing before Kevorin, compelling it to fall asleep.

Move action to square U-5. Standard action to use Slumber Hex on tiefling in X-7: Will save DC 15; if the save fails, the tiefling falls asleep for 3 rounds.

    Male Halfling Alchemist : 4

Sorry about the absence, posting during the weekend has become problematic.

Delayed action actually works, because until Wart sees a target, or Morghrim moves his big behind out of the way, Wart has got nothin!...Actually, can we change that to a move action to reload, and a readied action to fire a silver coin shot from the sling at any aggressive targets that Wart sees?

    Perception for noticing targets to shoot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
    Attack with sling: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
    Damage if applicable: 1d3 ⇒ 3

    Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
    Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

    If The Attack Hits:

You channel the power of Iomedae into your weapon arm,
allowing you to strike with great force. Your next melee attack (if
made before the end of the next round) gains a +5 sacred bonus
on the attack roll. If it hits, you may immediately attempt a bull
rush (with a +5 sacred bonus on your check) against the target
without provoking an attack of opportunity; if your combat
maneuver check exceeds the defender’s CMD by more than 5, you
do not need to move with the target to push him back more than
5 feet. Most priests use this spell to create a break in an enemy’s
line or to force a dangerous opponent away from a fallen ally or
    strategic object.
