Ulfr Uggason |

cha check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Ulfr starts to laugh as his allies enter with someone who looked very dangerous. The Spirits have heard my plea! Cower before your doom, abominations!

Karas Argentus |

CHA: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Karas grinned as the door burst open to see his companions rushing back in. Never give up. Always have faith.
He roared in laughter as the door splinters landed on the previously silent hall.

Rakeesh Sah Tarna |

Rakeesh eyes the new demon-blooded tiefling even more warily than Karas. But, the sight of Tehina and Neile was reassuring. He would figure out the who's and the why's later.
"Behold, your liberation has come sooner than expected!" he calls to the ghouls. "Look to me... For you will soon be free of this oppressive existence!"
Charisma Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Tehina Muunokhoi |

I moved you
Tehina hangs to the back. Physically she knows she won't be able to handle the undead but she knows her companions can.
Did we get a chance to prepare? If so I'd have swapped out one of my 2 color sprays for an Enlarge Person, which Neile would get as my surprise round action.
Otherwise she'll move to stand behind their new, probably temporary, ally

DM-Salsa |

Uh, call it a swift action for the check and yes, you did get a chance to prepare.

Ulfr Uggason |

After his taunt Ulfr starts pounding the wall with his chain and singing a Shoanti battle song, the Song of Ambush.
Activate Raging Song. Inspired Rage bonuses for everyone!

Karas Argentus |

Karas will accept the rage song on his action after the failed taunt and begin raging under his own bonuses and pulling at his chains.

DM-Salsa |

The furious woman sees Karas struggling against his chains and goes to help him. Despite the two of them struggling mightly, the chains hold. Crap rolls. Sorry. :\
TWO STR(Surge): 1d20 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (6) + (5) + 8 = 19

After their initial astonishment, the priest recovers quickly.
"Feast! Feast now! Sate your hunger brothers!" he calls out.
"Yes, I think we will," the ghast growls, "Starting with you!"
Rage powers a mighty howl and the ghouls fall upon the priest, who now discovers that Kabriri has deemed him unworthy as his priest when he the symbol in his hands turns to ashes. One of the ghouls is unable to get close enough, but the other two and the ghast tear into the fallen priest with relish. Tchirash get's a front row seat to the feast of horror as the undead dwarf screams as chunks are ripped from his flesh and devoured with greedy abandon. Black, decaying blood splatters her and the alter in front of her, coating the chapel in gore.

Party's up.
DC 30 to bust the chains from the wall.

Ulfr Uggason |

It is impossible for me to break them without aid.
As soon as the undead turn on their master, Ulfr allows his song drive them on. If they turn from each other and attack the living, however, the song's power fades from them.
Maintaining song.
Considering the in-fighting undead as allies until they attack us, allowing them to use he song to craft each other if they choose, but not allowing them to use it against us.

Neile Vass |

Neile crouches over as Tehina's spell takes effect, burying her head in hands that rapidly grow larger, the claws bursting from her knuckles stretching wider, forcing the skin open further. When she straightens again, now doubled in size, she begins striding forward, stepping over the pews of the old chapel in time with the beat of Ulfr's song, slowly allowing the rhythm to seep into her bones.
I'm assuming the benches count as difficult terrain, so I'll double-move to get within reach of the nasties. Enlarge person active; not yet accepting the bonus from Ulfr's inspired rage.

Karas Argentus |

Have to Nat 20 and have aid but its better than nothing.
STR check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Rakeesh Sah Tarna |

Rakeesh marvels at the turn of events. Such evil...
He bounces against the wall, turning himself to bring the greatest leverage he can manage. Straining to the drumbeat of Ulfr's song he pulls the manacles with little effect.
Can't break 'em without help.

Tehina Muunokhoi |

Tehina moves in behind Neile but keeps her distance. She knows she is no match for these ghouls when it comes to hand to hand combat so she stays out of the way.
Feeling rather useless right now, I just hope the Enlarge helps
Move Move several feet forward into the chapel

The feast of horror continues and with one final shriek, the undead dwarf passes onto the Boneyard. his flesh messily devoured by his former followers.
"Feast my brothers! Feast! For this is the first of many feastings!" A horrible undead voice gurgles.
"Not today! Not ever!" comes an answering cry as the wanderer ceases yanking on the chains binding Karas and goes for the ghouls. Drawing a massive blade as she goes.

Crit!: 6d6 + 44 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 1, 4, 2) + 44 = 63
The ghoul only has enough time to see his doom coming before the powerful blow turns him into gibbets that splatter all over the wall, his fellows, and Tchirash.
That was almost 3 times his HP. Sorry Tchirash, you just got covered in Ghoulie Bits, a part of this complete undead breakfast.

Karas Argentus |

Karas begins tearing at his chains.
attacking and attempting to damage my own chains if possible.
Claw 1, +PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 91d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Claw 2, +PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 211d6 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

DM-Salsa |

Had to look up the rules. Links are a 1/4 in thick, so Karas is free, if squishy.
The sound of shattering iron echoes in the chamber as he tears into chains holding him.

Neile Vass |

If I'm being entirely honest, Tehina, I feel like I'm also a bit superfluous here. :/
As the chunks of undead fall like rain in the chapel, Neile gives a yell and tears into the closest ghoul, allowing the drivng song and the Bear's strength to overcome her.
Claw 1 (raging song, enlarge person): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Claw 2 (raging song, inspire person): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
If claw 1 drops green, claw 2 will be against blue.
If claw 1 doesn't drop green, claw 2 gets +2 damage against him from my seance boon.

Tchirash Suntouched |

Not really anything that I can do but be a spectator at this point. And see the impossible damage that the sword is doing
Tchirash whips her head to the side to avoid the spray of gore getting in her mouth.

Karas Argentus |

Action for the next round
Anger consumed Karas but there were people in the way of his prey. He could however rend the awful bindings of another.
With silver eyes gleaming and teeth bared Karas ran over to Rakeesh and tore at his chains.
move 30 toward Rakeesh

Claw 2 +PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 141d6 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

DM-Salsa |

The chains groan, and chips of iron fly, but the bonds on the paladin hold tight still.

Rakeesh Sah Tarna |

Rakeesh flinches as the enraged tiefling falls loose from his chains and charges at him, claws bared. But, the attcks only damage the chains holding him. Rakeesh grabs hold of what remains, bashing it as hard as he can against the stone walls.
I have no idea if you can sunder with an unarmed strike while shackled... 1d20 + 10 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 - 4 - 2 = 11
Damage: 1d4 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Tehina Muunokhoi |

Neither suited for hand to hand combat nor able to really hit any of the ghouls with her spell without risking herself Tehina stands back. She looks at the chains holding her friends but seeing that even her stronger comrades can't break free she stands no chance at all.
So she just stays back and keeps a close eye on the situation at hand.
Standard Total defense

DM-Salsa |

"Feed my brothers, but leave one alive for our new priest," the ghast calls out before looking at Rakeesh and smiling.
"And soon, he will lead us to more prey!"

Stench: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
The last two undead go for the obvious threats. The ghast after the wanderer and the ghoul after Neile. The ghast draws blood as it bites her arm, and ghoul is lucky as well, managing to survive long enough to get at the fury of a waif to sink his teeth into her. The demon blooded berserker recoils form the stench of the foul monster, but she's far from out of the fight.
TWO vs. Ghast: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
damage: 3d6 + 20 ⇒ (6, 5, 1) + 20 = 32
The ghast soon learns that though he may have cheated death once, he is still mortal, and Pharasma is eager to claim him for her Boneyard.
Party up! Neile takes 8 Bludgeoning, Piercing, and slashing from 1 attack

Neile Vass |

Despite her enlarged size, the cry that slips from Neile as the ghoul's teeth sink into her leg is little more than a choked gasp, a mingled sound of pain and fear. Biting down on her own tongue to distract herself, she leashes out furiously at the ghoul with bony claws.
Claw 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14, damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Claw 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11, damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
If both claws hit, the second one deals +2 damage from my seance boon.
Current AC is 16 (-1 size penalty, -1 from inspired rage).
Also, did anyone provoke AoO's from moving within my 10-foot threatened area? I get three of them per round right now. Probably a bit late to retcon, though. :P

DM-Salsa |

The Ghast did, so that's number three. Unfortunately, neither of those against the Ghoul hit.

Rakeesh Sah Tarna |

"How thoughtful that your very last thoughts are of me," Rakeesh sneers back at the ghast. A moment later the tiefling with the massive blade turns him into offal. With the ghouls dropping like flies, Rakeesh continues to focus on destroying his bonds.
Sunder: 1d20 + 10 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 - 4 - 2 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Neile Vass |

AoO 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24, damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
AoO 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17, damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
AoO 3: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21, damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
We'll put 1 and 2 on the ghoul, 3 on the ghast. If both hit on the ghoul, the second is +2 damage.

Karas Argentus |

Karas rended Rakeesh's chains again.
Claw 1+PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 221d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Claw 2+PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 121d6 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

DM-Salsa |

Okay, Ghoul's down to 3 HP and the Ghast isn't doing much better.
Rakeesh's chains break under the relentless assault from both the paladin and the tiefling.

DM-Salsa |

TWO vs. Ghast: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
The Ghast doesn't have enough HP to survive even min damage, and can't do enough to bring her down, so...
With a swift strike, the tiefling ends the Ghast's undeath with a blow that rends him in twain from hip to shoulder.
THe other ghoul seeing he is all that's left cowers before the enlraged and enraged Neile.
"S-s-sp-spare me! PLEASE! MERCY!"
"No mercy, little one. Not for this one. Not for one that has the taint of undeath," Bear growls as the beat of Ulfr's song echoes and trembles around you.

Rakeesh Sah Tarna |

Rakeesh lands on his feet, but immediately doubles over, pain lancing through his hands and wrists at the returning circulation. With an effort of will, he gathers together the remains of the manacles still hanging from his arms, and limps over to the remaining ghoul.
"Mercy? I warned you. Ragathiel's eye is upon me. And he does not forgive." Rakeesh raises the manacles, and brings them down like a flail on the last ghoul's head.
Not sure of Rakeesh's status, but if possible, he would smite the final ghoul.
