Initiative Order
1. Spider(s?)
2. Johanna
3. Vi
4. Hagar
5. Monty

Female Gnome Ranger/1

Vi gets out her flint and steel and lights a torch.
"A little too dark in there for my liking."

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Not knowing how many potential enemies were ahead, half-orc has simply chosen to stand in front of Johanna, ready to strike any incoming monster.

Ready action vs. attack - Axe: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
potential dmg.: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty moves behind Hagar and tells him

I will have my god give you guidance for your attack if needed.

Monty takes his hand and puts it on Hagar's shoulder and says a prayer and as he does his hand glows with power.

May the power of Cayden flow through you

cast guidance on Hagar +1 on d20 roll or your choice

The archway, now lit by flickering torchlight, betrays no presence of any horrors within.

Female Aasimar Rogue, 1

So the nasty creepy crawlies are hiding?

Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

From outside the chamber, you don't hear anything.

Female Gnome Ranger/1

Vi tosses the lit torch into the chamber and readies her crossbow in case anything comes out.

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty steps into the chamber knees shaking trying to act as if he is brave.

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

"Lookie, lookie, little one is set on taking me job!" - with a big grin on his face, Hagar takes over the cleric (Monty), stepping in front of him, his weapons at the ready. His eyes are checking both the ceiling and the archway, looking for any sign of the enemy.

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty lets a little sigh out at seeing the mighty Hagar come in with him.

This half-orc is the bravest guy I know next to Gyness.

Once Hagar steps into the room another gossamer strand is fired from the ceiling.
web: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Hagar is entangled in the web-line. In the shadows cast by the flickering torch, something large begins to descend from the ceiling.

Female Aasimar Rogue, 1

Johanna sneaks in after Hagar.

Stealth 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15, bow at ready.

When she sees a nasty she will shoot it.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 for 1d6 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6 damage.

Johanna sees the giant spider lurking above the threshold. Her arrow veers wide however, missing the vermin.

Female Gnome Ranger/1

Vi enters the room, crossbow at the ready.
Hvy Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Vi's bolt fails to hit it's mark.

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty touches Hagars back

May Cayden guide you.

Montys hand glows as does Hagars back.

cast guidance on Hagar +1 to d20 roll oh his choosing

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

What kind of roll do I need to make to try and free myself? Acrobatics, STR check, RFL save...?

An entangled creature can escape with a successful Escape Artist check or burst the web with a Strength check. Both are standard actions. Attempts to burst a web by those caught in it suffer a –4 penalty. Also, Hagar's action goes before Monty's

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Being entangled in the web-line, Hagar felt very helpless. He could not swing his mighty weapon, and from the corner of his eye he noticed a shadow descending towards him. Half-orc trains his muscles, trying to burst the web around him.

STR check: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 4 = 4 (+4 for STR bonus, -4 for penalty being inside the web)

Hagar is held fast by the webbing.

what I said here

The spider descends and lunges at Hagar.

spider bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

However, it's mandibles cannot penetrate his armor.

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Once again, Hagar tries his strength. His attempt is additionally helped by guidance from Cayden (Monty), as well as his awareness of the situation he was in. He had to free himself fast unless he planned on becoming spider's new lunch.

STR check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Female Aasimar Rogue, 1

Johanna shoots again!

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 for 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage

Johanna fires an arrow into the beast's hide.

Female Gnome Ranger/1

Vi expertly reloads and fires her crossbow.
"Nice shot Johanna! Don't worry Hagar, we won't let it eat you!"
Heavy Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12if it hits: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Vi's crossbow bolt whizzes between Hagar and the Spider, hitting neither.

Hagar manages to extricate himself from the web with a heave of his orcly muscles.

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty will back up behind Hagar and cast guidance on Hagar.

may Cayden guide you again

The spider lunges once more at Hagar, venom dripping from it's mandibles.

spider bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Obviously, weak from hunger, the spider misses again.

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Finally free of the cursed web, Hagar swings twice (with both ends) at the creature ahead of him, trying to slash it.

Double orc axe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Double orc axe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

crit confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Female Aasimar Rogue, 1

Johanna shoots again.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 for 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage

GM aside:
Johanna is firing at a target engaged in melee with a friendly, so takes another -4 to her shot.

Johanna's aim is true as another arrow pierces the monstrous spider.

Female Gnome Ranger/1

Vi reloads and fires again.
Hvy Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Vi's bolt misses and disappears with a thunk into the webbing in the ceiling. A small web shrouded form drops to the ground just out of torchlight.
Hagar does the axe-dance with the spider, and lands a vicious blow. Green ichor sprays from the wound, and while it falters, the spider does not fall.

Male Human HP 10/14

1d20 ⇒ 4

Monty stabs at the spider missing badly

Punctured with arrows and with a huge slash across it's abdomen, the spider lunges dazedly at Hagar.

Spiderbite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
bite damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Make a Fort save.

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

I choose to use Monty's Guidance now, if possible

Fort save: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 1 = 13

Hagar feels the spider's venom boil through his bloodstream.
spider poison: 1d2 ⇒ 2

Hagar, take 2 Str damage.

Female Aasimar Rogue, 1

Johanna shoots again. Because.

1d20 + 2 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 - 4 + 1 = 14 for 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty stabs at the spider once again

1d20 ⇒ 17
1d6 ⇒ 6

Johanna's arrow narrowly misses and clatters off a wall.

Female Gnome Ranger/1

Vi reloads and fires again.
"What we need is a large boot!"

Hvy Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Vi's bolt flies far as she tries to avoid hitting Hagar.

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Feeling some unkown weakness cursing through his veins, half-orc swings again twice towards the spider, missing with his first swing, but connecting with second.

Double orc axe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Double orc axe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Male Human HP 10/14

gm did you get my stabby stab seemed like it should.have hit. well maybe

Hagar's second swing knocks the spider off it's last legs. It collapses, legs curling inward on itself.

Female Aasimar Rogue, 1

Johanna sneaks ahead again

Stealth 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 peering about intently Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Hagar uses the opportunity to check spider corpse, as well as the place from which the creature crawled out.

perception: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Male Human HP 10/14

Monty will also look around for anything of use or danger

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
