Almost all Pathfinders undergo extensive training for three or more years to learn the tricks of the trade, and their last test before graduating from the ranks of the initiates to the status of a full Pathfinder agent is the Confirmation, a special research project that involves considerable fieldwork and is designed to simulate the initiates' future work as a Pathfinder. Even the noteworthy field commissioned agents sometimes participate in such trials as a way to familiarize themselves with the Pathfinder Society’s rules and expectations. Although Confirmation is typically an individual affair, the society recently discovered a site on the Isle of Kortos that would be perfect for initiates but perhaps too dangerous to handle alone. Successfully uncovering this site’s secrets will not only contribute to the society’s body of knowledge but shape the exciting careers ahead for each of the prospective agents.

The invitation delivered last night was remarkably simple, especially given the importance of the occasion: “Start where it all began. Meet us at the Pig’s Paunch one hour before dawn.”
The Pig’s Paunch is a run-down building with a faded sign of a large pig standing on its hind legs, arms folded above a corpulent belly. Inside, the air is thick with the scents of human sweat, stale tobacco, and leftover food.
When you enter the building, there is a table reserved for the Pathfinders. You are ushered to the table, but your patron has not yet arrived. Feel free to introduce yourselves while we wait for any stragglers...
Society originally consisted of adventurers based
in Absalom who sought a way to combine their
resources and recruit additional help for particularly
dangerous ventures. Over time the group attracted new
members and continued to grow, and today its members
and influence span across Golarion.
Today, the Pathfinder Society continues to grow at an
unprecedented rate, and supply hardly keeps up with the
demand for new agents. To meet the growing need, the
Three Masters, who are responsible for the training of
new initiates at the Grand Lodge, have made the difficult
choice to advance the promotion of some of the Society’s
most promising initiates. In addition, they have taken
the unprecedented step of letting a small group of
particularly impressive initiates attempt a Confirmation
together, accompanied by an established field operative.
The Confirmation is the final test all Pathfinder
initiates must pass in order to become Pathfinder field
operatives. Every Confirmation is different, and ordinarily
it would be tailored to the individual initiate; however, in
this case, Kreighton Shaine has selected a task suitably
engaging for an entire group. At all times, initiates are
expected to fulfill the three duties of a Pathfinder agent:
explore, report, and cooperate. Failure to adhere to these
three tenets risks expulsion from the Society.
Once they have undergone Confirmation, Pathfinder
agents are called upon to travel to the far corners of
Golarion, delve into the deepest tombs, and solve the
world’s oldest riddles. During these dangerous missions,
Pathfinders are required to keep detailed journals, maps,
and accounts of their exploits. After each adventure,
agents send a copy of their records to the regional
venture-captain for analysis; especially noteworthy
reports are forwarded to Absalom for consideration to be
included in the next edition of the Pathfinder Chronicles.
The Society comprises thousands of adventures coming
from all walks of life, and it places no moral obligations
upon its members.

Theo surveyed those already at the table as he approached.
This one appears sophisticated enough. Perhaps we shall engage in some riveting discussions of international policy.
That one could use a bath. Surely, he will benefit from my company. I will teach him better hygiene than he learned from the slums.
Theo sat down. A large, golden key hanging from his neck clanked into the table. He ordered an expensive wine.
"I am Theodric Pepromeno of Taldor. It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I look forward to serving The Pathfinder Society together."
He flashed a smile of perfect, pearly white teeth. He noticed several pairs of female eyes observing him throughout the pub. His flowing brown hair and auburn eyes had a way of drawing attention.
His smile got a little bigger. He half paid attention to the others' introductions as he contemplated engaging one of his admirers.

Ansha Saeralyan found something strangely comforting about the press of bodies about her as she walked the streets of Absalom, and this combined with the occasional brief flirtation with a passerby kept her entertained until she arrived at the tavern the letter had designated.
Ansha sighed and wrinkled her nose at the onslaught of smells as she set foot into the Pig's Paunch. Waving over a waitress, she lightly touched the woman's arm as she said, "Pathfinder?" The waitress having directed her, a moment later she settled down across the table from a fairly-handsome human. She reached a hand behind her neck and liftd a butt-length mane of silky hair so pale as to straddle the line between platinum and blond over the back of her chair, then leans back, making herself comfortable.
"I am Theodric Pepromeno of Taldor. It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I look forward to serving The Pathfinder Society together."
The willowy elven beauty tilted her head slightly and returned his smile coyly, joining several other women in the tavern in eyeing him up and down. "Ansha," she replied with the melodic voice typical of elves. "The pleasure is all mine. Are you new to the Society as well?"

A well-dressed dark-skinned man enters the Pig's Paunch, a slight creak of hardened leather betraying the presence of armor under his cloak. A dagger is his only apparent weapon, along with a pair of belt pouches that emit muffled metallic clinks when he walks. He sweeps the room with a penetrating gaze and does not object when the barkeep directs him to the reserved table. "I am Jivan of Vudra, newly come to the Society." He clasps his hands on the table in front of him; his fingers are long and delicate, and show no signs that he has performed manual labor. "Theodric, you are a priest of Abadar?" There is a gleam that might be amusement in his eyes as he watches the byplay between the cleric and the wizard.

![]() |

The elven enchantress flutters her fingers at Jivan in a carefree wave as he approaches the table. "Vudra's an awfully long way from here, isn't it?" she asks, one eyebrow arched curiously.

![]() |

Kame Kitsune strolled down the street head held high breathing in the crisp air. He stopped staring up into the sky admiring the last of the stars as dawn approached.
"Look out below!"
The cry came from above Kame as a large amount of dirty water came splashing down on him.
Ahh, how refreshing!
With a giant smile Kame continued on towards the Pig's Paunch. Opening the door to the tavern Kame took in all the smells.
Such character this place has!
Kame walked over to the bar shivering a bit. "Good sir! I am looking for the Pathfinder Society." Kame announced surveying the room. After no answer came for a second he realized that the "sir" was actually a homely looking woman.
"My lady! Forgive me! I had not noticed your beauty until just now!"
Glaring at Kame the barmaid pointed at the table.
Kame sat with an audible *squish*. Kame looked around the table with a giant grin. "Isn't this place amazing?! My name is Kame and you remarkable people must be the other members of the Society."

![]() |

Stonetree fumbled his way into the bar having some trouble with the door, seeing he brought his own tankard of ale in one hand and a large piece of meat of questionable origins in the other.
Stonetree looked like he was more suited to handling unruly drunks in some barely remebered tavern rather than being ushered to the table reserved for the Pathfinders.
He took a seat with a thump while removing the last remnants of meat from the now bare bone and dropping it to the table. He than took a large swig form his tankard and spke a little to loudly.
"I am Stonetree, I think we all about to ha some fun!"
Looking around the table and seeing nothing to wipe the greasy residue from the mystery meat he simply used his tunic.

Jivan nods with a slight smile. "It is. But the great Selmius Foster, one of the first Pathfinders, came to Vudra from here many years ago. We have been returning the favor since--"
The arrival of the somewhat sodden swashbuckler stops Jivan's speech, and he addresses the newcomer. Gods, give me strength. "We're a few of them, yes. Or we will be, if we survive the next several days."
Incidentally, Kame, you have few enough posts that you can change your main profile name to Daniel McCallum and your character name to Kame. Right now it's a little confusing that you're showing a PFS character with what I presume is your name.

I attempted that before posting. For me my post is showing "Kame Kitsune" is it still showing Daniel McCallum for you?

![]() |

The post shows "Kame Kitsune," yes, but that's your main profile, not your PFS character. I'm suggesting that you change both of them (as you can change a profile name before you've posted ten times under that profile)--change your main profile to Daniel McCallum, change your PFS character to Kame Kitsune, and start posting here as your PFS character. You'll still show up as "Daniel McCallum" for your first post and possibly your second, but that's OK.
If you take a look at my Aliases page HERE, you'll see that my main profile name is John Woodford, and I have a plethora of PFS and other character profiles as well under their names. In your case, your Aliases page looks like THIS; this will work fine until you try to play Kame in a tabletop game, and the character name of record for your PFS# is Daniel McCallum 789. Or until you play Kame in The Dalsine Affair and are standing in the wrong place when <redacted>, and he dies permanently. It's a minor thing, but it makes a cleaner presentation.

Okay I understand what you are saying. For some reason I thought the 10 posts were the number of posts I would have to make before I could change my name. I think I have it fixed now.

Jivan nods with a slight smile. "It is. But the great Selmius Foster, one of the first Pathfinders, came to Vudra from here many years ago. We have been returning the favor since--"
The elven enchantress nods, her arched eyebrow falling as her curiosity is sated. She turns her attention to Kame as he sits, and noticeably grimaces when she hears the squish of sodden clothing pressing against wooden chair. Ansha begins to open her mouth to greet Kame, but stops as a fifth human approaches the table and sits heavily on an empty chair.
Just like Crown's End, she thinks darkly, observing the raucous and uncouth agents she presumably will be working with. "Welcome," she offers to Kame and Stonetree with a faint smile. "This table is suddenly far less empty than it was when I got here."

![]() |

Amidst the ruckus, Theo strained to maintain some civility at the table.
"Yes, Ansha, I am here for my Confirmation into the Society. I am always intrigued by the varied backgrounds of the Society's members. May I ask what brings you to this organization?"
He turned to Jivan. "Yes, I am. Abadar worship is not common among the Vudrani. I presume you to also be a man of faith, or perhaps a scholar?"

![]() |

The Vudrani shakes his head with a slight smile. "No, I have been here long enough to recognize some of the more important symbols. We have so many deities that it's easier for me to remember yours, I think."

![]() |

"Well, I wanted to see the world," the elf offers to Theo. In a quieter voice she adds, "Also, I had to leave Crown's End in a hurry."
Ansha waves a waitress over, who kneels down to take the elf's order. The enchantress lightly rests her fingertips on the woman's arm as she leans over and orders a snifter of brandy. The woman then nods and departs, and returns with the spirits a minute later. Ansha takes the snifter in hand, holding it under her nose to breathe in the aroma and savor it. She happily takes a sip.

DM PatheticWretch |

In the center of the room, surrounded by inebriates sleeping off their revelries, a familiar elven man stands high upon top of a large round table and removes the hood of his cloak.
“Welcome! Welcome, my students! Please, remain seated!” With that, Kreighton Shaine, the Pathfinder Society’s Master of Scrolls, nimbly drops down to sit cross-legged on an adjacent table before looking about the tavern with a sense of reverent wonder.
“Can you believe it? It all started here years ago—well, over four hundred of them at least. Under this very roof the Pathfinder Society was born. But today! Today you will begin your Confirmation! Master Farabellus, Master Zey, and I all agree you each have shown your worth and dedication to the Society, so there’s no better time to see if you can handle becoming full field operatives. Allow me to introduce you to Janira Gavix,” he says as he motions for an excitable halfling woman to approach.
She wears a large backpack and carries all manner of tools, pouches, and scroll cases around her waist. Shaine continues, saying, “Janira here will be going with you on your Confirmation. She was one of my brightest pupils and will no doubt be an invaluable resource on your journey, for she discovered the caves you are about to explore during her own Confirmation.”
Janira speaks up in an enthusiastic and cheerful voice, “Greetings, aspiring Pathfinders! Six months ago, while I was mapping cave entrances in the foothills of the Kortos Mounts, I witnessed a lone gillman entering a concealed cave. I thought little of it at the time, but I saw another one enter the cave again a month later as my Confirmation stretched on. A few days later, after I completed my assigned task, I entered the cave system, but was unable to find the gillmen.”
Master Shaine hops to his feet. “Initiates, for your Confirmation, you will travel to these caves to explore and document its many passages. Additionally, and most importantly, you are to learn what the gillmen are up to in there. Oh, and you need to come back alive as well.”
With these parting words, the Master of Scrolls jumps off the table and strolls out of the building while humming to himself.
I know some of you may have already completed a mission...if so, consider this a ceremonial mission to complete your training as Pathfinders, not necessarily your first (though it could be for some of you). Feel free to ask Janira any questions you might have!

Basayus looks down at his invite and then finally noticed that dawn was closer than he thought.
I must be running late again...
As he wanders the streets looking for the Pig’s Paunch he muses to himself, "the roads in this city really could use a better system of organization or naming convention. I wonder what the city planners were thinking... If they were to use the... Wait whats that sign I just walked passed... "
He then realized that he had walked passed a sign so faded as to barely be recognizable of a large pig standing on its hind legs.
This must be there place
Basayus walks in and surveys the room. He notices a group sitting at a table and figures they are the only ones who he could be here to meet. He takes a seat at the table ands introduces himself.
"Hello, sorry for my late arrival. I got lost looking for this..." he slowly glances around the room, "...establishment. My name is Basayus Thundersong, Arcanist Extraordinaire."

![]() |

Ansha carefully conceals her annoyance at the Master of Scrolls' grandstanding--why in Calistria's passionate embrace was he drawing so much attention?--and listens quietly to the other elf. As he finishes his introduction, the blond mage blinks at the Master of Scrolls' afterthought of a remark ("Oh, and you need to come back alive as well"). "Exciting," she murmurs, sipping her brandy. She looks the Halfling woman over, then nods in agreement with Jivan's questions. "And when do we leave?"
The elf notices a human male enter the room, and slowly tracks him with her eyes as he makes his way through the tavern. After a few moment's observation, she mentally writes him off. "So glad you could join us, Basayus," she says drily after he introduces himself. "I'm Ansha." The enchantress motions around the table, introducing the rest of the group should they not do so.

DM PatheticWretch |

The halfling, Janira, welcomes Basayus to the group, and says "I believe we have all arrived. She smiles excitedly at Jivan's question then responds.
[b]"There were all kinds of exciting things I encountered, aside from a bout of intestinal distress. A band of centaurs I had to evade as they came through my camp and investigated, a giant eagle I spied from a distance, and this really creepy mist one night. Well, and of course the gillmen and then cave. Who knows what else we will find?! It will be exciting, to be sure!"
Turning to Ansha, she says "We will leave at first light tomorrow. So if you need to buy any additional supplies, you have the rest of the day to do so."
If anyone wants to roll Knowledge: Geography or Knowledge: History, there are some additional things you can find out. Remember you can make knowledge checks up to DC 10 untrained.

![]() |

"Welcome, Basayus. I am Theodric Pepromeno. We appear to have our team."
Theo looked around at the group. He was excited to learn more of each of his new friends and observe how their different cultures would interact.
He turned to Janira. "Are these gillman to be treated as hostiles? I would prefer if we could reason with them and negotiate terms to explore their home. Does anyone here speak their language?"

![]() |

Kame sat their with mouth agape as he listened to Janira explaining the mission.
This is far better than what I was hoping for!
"I am so excited!" Kame exclaimed.
Turning to Basayus Kame grabbed one of Basayus's hands in both of his and started shaking it profusely, "Arcanist extraordinaire! Wow! It is such an honor to meet you!"
Wait did Janira say supplies?
"What sort of supplies do you think we will need Janira? And let's just say we didn't have coin for said supplies, what would you suggest?" Kame said somewhat abashedly.

DM PatheticWretch |

Janira's smile broadens as she sees her team-members are also excited.
"No, we should not assume anything is hostile," Janira says. "I am glad to see that you would prefer to reason with them, for that is in line with the code of the Pathfinders: Explore, Report, Cooperate! Hopefully they will not be hostile, and I would also hope they speak the common tongue," she adds.
Responding to Kame, she says "As for supplies, I would imagine you would want what any prepared Pathfinder would have...things such as a weapon, a backup weapon," she opens up her pack and starts going through things, clearly excited about her gear, some of it new, some of it older.
"A backpack, ranged weapon, weapons that deal splash damage, maybe a gauntlet, always a dagger (I prefer cold iron), a sling, spell component pouch, bandolier, bedroll, rations, rope, torches, waterskin, bell, candle, chalk, charcoal, fishhook, string, flint and steel, parchment, sewing needle, signal whistle, oil, smokestick, tindertwig, spring-loaded wrist sheath...should I go on?" she asks with a grin.

Ansha nods at Theodric's question. "I'd prefer to avoid fighting as well. I've got a few charms up my sleeve that might help"
The elf pauses to roll her eyes at the halfling's enthusiasm. "Well, if we're going spelunking, I imagine we'll need a lot of rope, and more than a few torches."
Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
What does Ansha know about gillmen?

![]() |

Jivan perks up a bit at Kame's question. "I expect that I could loan you some money." He pauses, then shakes his head. Cooperate, yes. "In light of our common purpose, I will not--I will not charge you interest on the loan." If he tells anyone they will not believe it. Our reputation is safe.

DM PatheticWretch |

Janira looks at Kame's lovely chain shirt.
"If you have been unable to procure supplies, I know someone who would purchase that chain shirt from you. It would fetch a pretty copper," she says in response.
I see you're loaded up with a chain shirt. If you're lacking for funds, you can trade that in for studded leather and buy a whole lot of other stuff. You end up receiving over 300 gp for a 1st level mission, plus 2 Prestige Points that can be traded for gear up to 750 gp in value. So it may be that you hold off on buying that for an adventure, and then you can even buy a masterwork version soon. Since we're just starting, feel free to trade in any gear at full value. Also, I've found that Pathfinder has loads of enemies that need splash weapons to fight (i.e. swarms).

He then pulls out some paper and pen to take notes as he tries to recall what he knows of the area and it's inhabitants.

Somehow Kame's face lit up even more upon hearing Jivan's offer.
"You are truly a generous soul Jivan! Don't worry I will spread the word of your generosity so all will know of the noble Jivan's kindness!"
ROFL!
The Vudrani gives a sort of half smile in response. "You are too kind." No one had better believe him, or I will have to have words with the Sczarni....

![]() |

Ansha fights back a snicker at the interaction between Jivan and Kame. "So, anyway: Anyone carrying rope?" She gestures at the finely-crafted pack at her side. "I'm carrying an awful lot as it is, so perhaps one of the rest of you would consider carrying a few lengths?"

DM PatheticWretch |

"Any other questions about the mission?" Janira asks.
Janira pulls out a large leather-bound journal and opens it on
the table.
“Before we set out, we should all get to know each other and review our plan. After all, the most important factors that determine whether an expedition will be a success are cooperation and preparation! I’ll go first!”
The halfling excitedly introduces herself as Janira Gavix, and explains that she joined the Pathfinder Society nearly four years ago after coming of age. She grew up in Eastgate, where her father still works as a porter who employs a dog cart to transport purchased goods from ships and shops to the homes of customers. She and her family revere Desna, but Janira respects most other religions and believes that faith is important to everyone.
Although she initially joined to see the world and sample all of the fine food it had to offer, she quickly took to the Scrolls and its focus on learning and preserving knowledge. She now aspires to have her work published in one of the Pathfinder Chronicles, suspecting that would qualify her to train as a Pathfinder Chronicler.
"So, tell me a bit about yourselves. What made you decide to join the Pathfinder Society? And what skills will you be contributing to our little expedition?”

![]() |

Jivan looks around at the others, then back to the excitable halfling. "I decided to join the Pathfinder Society for more mercenary reasons. My family, you see, is a merchanting house of sorts. We have done business with members of the Exchange in the past, and I was impressed by their activities. So when I had to leave Vudra for a time, I chose to come here.
"As to what I contribute? I am fair at dealing with locks, and I am a novice adept of the aether." He concentrates for a moment, and silvery threads appear in the air. They twine around the hilt of his dagger and draw it partway from its sheath, then put it back. "I have also obtained a curing wand, and I am sometimes able to use it myself. Though any healer will be able to use it reliably."

![]() |

The elven enchantress continues to sip her brandy, coolly eyeing the other members of the party as they introduce themselves. "Well, I'm from Kyonin, originally. For...various reasons, I can't go back. I've spent some years wandering with my--with my parents. That took me to Crown's End, eventually, but for various reasons, I can't go back there either," she starts, a little wryly. "I'm always interested in new things and new people, and I just happened to run into one--a Pathfinder field agent, that is--after I arrived here in Absalom. After getting to know him and what he said of the organization, it seemed like a good fit. As for what I contribute: I'm a wizard who has a way with words."
"I'm...versatile," she adds suggestively.

![]() |

"I studied to become a priest of Abadar in Oppara, the capitol of Taldor. I then served as a standard bearer in the 21st heavy infantry battalion of the Braganza army under Terandar Ravnagask."
An experience I greatly underestimated, but I am grateful for the eye-opening scars.
"I returned to Oppara to serve as a barrister in her high courts. I was then... prompted to broaden my international knowledge. The Pathfinder Society seemed the perfect fit."
Theo surveyed his companions. The welcoming atmosphere was appreciated. Not having to scrutinize the intent of countless lawyers vying for his support, he could let down his guard a bit. He breathed out and relaxed his shoulders.
"I encourage and inspire those around me to do their best in dangerous and peaceful situations alike. At times, I find it just as beneficial to demoralize those that oppose me."
He smiled warmly at Ansha. "I, too, have a way with words."

![]() |

"Well, I mostly spent my time before the Pathfinder Society bonking heads in taverns and being paid to steep in circle with another and be the only one able to step out..."
Stonetree paused and eyed the room and spoke slightly softer, "eventually I found these...arrangements not to my liking and found my to the Society"
"What I contribute?" Stonetree smiles wide "I am the one that's going to do the bonking and the cooking, lets hope that one doesn't lead to the other!"
Mightily amused with his joke Stonetree let out a thunderous laugh, not waiting to see if any one else found it amusing.

![]() |

"That thing you were eating when you came in...that wasn't an example of your cooking, was it?" Ansha asks dubiously.

![]() |

Jivan chuckles in reply. "I will do my best to slow them down before they get to you, if you agree to do your best to bonk them before they get to me."
"That thing you were eating when you came in...that wasn't an example of your cooking, was it?" Ansha asks dubiously.
"Don't slow them too much now, A man needs a bit of challenge in life. Got to keep things interesting, you know what I mean? Can't make things too easy..."
Stonetree quickly turned to address Ansha's query, his interest obviously peaked.
"The Bolax leg? Delicious looking, no? It has smokey tang to the tongue, a bit salty, but... damn it! I should have offered to share, sometimes I forget my manners. Please forgive me?" he asked earnestly

![]() |

The porcelain-skinned elf pales slightly at the thought. "Don't mention it," she says, equally earnest.

DM PatheticWretch |

With two of the group members still ordering something to eat, Janira says "You two introduce yourselves after you've made yourselves comfortable. This looks like a capable lot...you should do fine."
She looks around once more at each member of the group.
“On to the details of the mission at hand,” Janira says with an eager grin.
“After reviewing my mission reports personally, Master Shaine believes it is no coincidence that each time they entered the caves it was during a full moon, so it is also no coincidence that you have been called here now, just a day before the moon is full again. We both believe that tomorrow night is our best chance to find out why these caves are important and what exactly the gillmen are doing in there."
She reviews a few notes she has scribbled, then continues. “The caves we’ll be travelling to lie under the base of the Kortos Mounts. We’ll need to spend every minute of daylight possible to reach the caves by foot, crossing over the Cairnlands, taking the paths to Diobel, and finally making our way through the wilderness. With any luck we won’t run into any of the local inhabitants. Once in the caves, we’ll need to work together to explore and determine whether any gillman are present or have been recently. Keep an eye out for any other clues that might hint at the caves’ significance, too.”
Janira raises an eyebrow, as if she worries she had been talking too fast. "Any questions about that? Oh, and “Now, before we head out, we should take a moment to go through your gear and make sure nothing important gets left out.”

![]() |

Kame walked back into the Pig's Paunch arms full of different gear.
"Janira! I think I'm ready now! Check out all this stuff I bought!", Kame excitedly said running over to Janira to show off his new wares.
"By the way guys if you are need some expertise with the blade I am your man!" Kame said proudly pointing his thumb to his chest.
"I was trained by the greatest swordsman in all of the lands!", Kame pulled out his Katana, jumped up on the nearest table and fancifully swung his blade around. Sheathing his sword he attempted a backflip off the table.

"Now, before we head out, we should take a moment to go through your gear and make sure nothing important gets left out."
"Like rope," Ansha chimes in, taking another sip of her brandy. There's definitely a bit of redness to her cheeks, and she's still got at least half the snifter to go.

![]() |

Bassayus looks up from his notes and books and replays the conversation in his head. Crap, did someone ask me something or say something I was supposed to respond to... Oh yes.
"I grew up as an orphan on the streets of the Precipice Quarter here in Absalom until a headmaster of a local boarding school caught me trying to swindle some tourists. He found a place for me in his school and I found that I had a propensity for studying, reading, and the arcane arts. After graduating from the boarding school I continued studying until I applied to join the Dark Archive so I could study the rare artifacts and items in their collection."

![]() |

Jivan looks ruefully at Kame's gear. "I can't carry too much--it'd slow me down. I've got my traveler's outfit, two days of trail rations, a waterskin, my good tools, a bedroll, a dagger, and a few things to throw. Oh, and the curing wand." He pushes up one sleeve to show the wand in a spring-loaded wrist sheath. "I'll have to rely on the rest of you for light."

![]() |

Theo recited a mental list he was keeping.
"Rope, lantern, oil, rations, waterskin, bedroll... I'll gather these before we head out. Anything else we need?"
He smilled at Jivan. "I will provide the light."
Sheathing his sword he attempted a backflip off the table.

"Goodness, Kame! Are you alright? Here, let me help you up."
