OK, the map answered some of my questions from the game thread; I didn't look here before posting and don't want to go back to clean it up. I think the thought process is still valid, anyway. Still curious if there are walls - are we forced to go through the gate or is that just the polite way to enter the city? 'Cause I really don't care about being polite right about now.
Can anyone provide some layout for the library itself from their ancient records? Might be good to know where the exterior doors are and the likely chokepoints for their defenses. Or maybe they are confident that no one will get inside.
Need we kill them all or is it sufficient to drive them out into the daylight where the surface elves can take them out?

I think we just need to secure the library. It sounds like the good elfs can do the rest.

They're not sure about the interior... they've been completely unable to retake the library since the battle began so many years ago. There's a wall, but it's mostly broken down.
Kaerishiel is going to be in one of the groups attacking another strategic point.

I suggest we go north, then, and retrieve the head on our way. If the ghost finds us in the city, we can throw it a bone that way. (Sorry, it just came out that way.)

Agreed. We can buff before we 'cross' the wall. Randall will be in full trap-detection-and-stealth mode, so he will be moving slowly, but I expect he and Firiel to be leading .

I'd point out that the headless drowthing saw me even while I was invisible (and tore me up good), so we should be prepared for similar abilities as we approach. So stealthy, hiding behind stuff, minimizing our exposure, will the the course of action to pursue.
And I'm good to follow the rogues as Randall suggests. If they get spotted, we can back them up.

Nope, another game I'm in with Feral. After single-handedly doing massive amounts of damage to a troll, said troll tore my PC in half. The phrase "butterflying his ribs" was used. Very dead now.
