I posted that reply, then the second and they both showed up, but when I came back seconds later to change the avatar I mistakenly used neither of them were visible anymore, so yeah, there are problems.
Edit: And then showed up out of order :/

A quick overview of our best lead “lawyers” on the various skills and which “counselors” can assist:
Bluff - attempted by Myron (fail)
Diplomacy - Kheled (+13), assist Dumah, Elrisiel
Intimidate - Kheled (+6), assist Rakara
Knowledge (local) - Rakara (+10), assist Myron, Elrisiel
Perform (oratory) - none
Sense Motive - Kheled (+7), assist Myron, Rakara
So our best bet for succes would be Kheled and Rakara as lead defense with Diplomacy, Knowledge (local) and Sense Motive, saving Intimidate as an emergency defense.

Hoping to distract the baliffs (and eager to end the farce that is this court, Dumah heads for the judge as directly as he can.
Double move to G6.
Don't feel like another social encounter, Mark?
Given Dumah's backstory, I can totally understand why he may not feel like having a civilized chat with a bunch of undead - especially ones that are in the process of harming innocents.
On the other hand, since we found out that this encounter could be resolved as a courtroom social challenge, I was kinda looking forward to that as a player.
Not looking to dictate the action, just wanted to make my own feelings known before combat starts.

I want to make sure I understand the Butterfly Sting effects properly.
Myron has to successfully confirm a critical hit, then opt to not take the critical effects for that hit.
Before Myron's next turn, if someone successfully rolls to hit that same opponent, their strike is automatically a confirmed critical hit? To me the language wasn't clear. Do I still need to roll a critical hit that is then automatically confirmed? Or is the hit automatically considered a critical hit that I then need to roll to confirm?
And if I roll a critical myself and confirm it, does Myron's ability for that round go to waste, or can someone else then strike the same opponent and take advantage of it?

This is my understanding. It is a great ability for rogues working with BBN's, allies with great axes or any x3 crit weapons, or Paladins with Smite abilities!
When he gets expanded crit ranges it can get nasty.

Kheled Hadri |

Elrisiel, as far as skills go, do you want me to continue to focus on Knowledge undead and you can start to invest in planes and some other knowledge skills?
I just won't have enough skill points to really be good in more than one knowledge skill.

This. Especially the last bit. Now imagine if we pop Outflank into the mix :-)

Rakara Sandtrapper |

Sorry! I saw chipped cobbles not cobblestones and thought he was attacking the elemental. It might be a reasonable assumption for Dumah considering we are being attacked by a summoner.

Rakara Sandtrapper |

That would be a big assumption! Didn't mean an actual Summoner, just someone who has demonstrated that they can summon things.
I'm trying, but am realizing even when Rakara actually hits the damage is pretty paltry.

Like the third member of a dancing trio, Myron keeps perfect pace with Dumah and the beast, swinging his twin blades as he goes.
5-ft step into flanking position
Main hand (flanking + piranha strike + combat expertise: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 - 1 = 11

That is all 2s! :O
I think you broke the die roller!

Unfortunately, unless you get Power Attack (and ideally Furious Focus as well), that feeling is only going to get worse. Without a scaling way to increase your damage modifier, you will hardly be able to scratch most high-level monsters.
With her high dex and Shield of Swings, Rakara is focused more on defense than offense. But ironically, that means many enemies will ignore her, because someone else is hurting them more. And at higher levels, she will get hit no matter how high her AC.
If you get Power Attack, Furious Focus and bump your strength to 16 or 18, you’ll notice a huge difference.

I'd be glad to draw up a replacement character if you'd like. If there are any parameters you'd like me to work within (crunch or fluff), just let me know.
Before the fight, we were assured that they were ready to intervene in case of fatalities. Let’s see if Dumah can’t pull through.

El doesn't want any of the listed items. Not sure what (if anything) she'd want to buy either. Maybe a wand or two.
Headband of intellect +2 is the best/most useful item a wizard can have. More spells, better DC, plus a free skill (Knowledge planes).
After that a wand of magic missles for sure.

Sorry for the absence. A week with stomach infection has reduced me to survival mode. Hopefully the antibiotics will bring me back around soon.
