Multiple Black Tentacles

Rules Questions

Say two sorcerers are dueling. Each has a ring of freedom. Each of their first attacks: Black Tentacles. They happen to be standing 5' apart. Can multiple Black Tentacles spells exist in the same area?

I would rules this falls under the rules of multiple effects in the same area.

They both exist, but only the one with the higher bonus has any effect.

As for me, I consider this is a conjuration spell; conjuring black tentacles is basically the same as conjuring wolves or other minions.

And if you summon 2 wolves, they're both gonna act, whatever their position on the grid.

So, 2 black tentacles maneuvers per round. That's a little too much "japanese perversion" for me, but that's not the subject.

This is correct per RAW : "Same Effect More than Once in Different Strengths: In cases when two or more identical spells are operating in the same area or on the same target, but at different strengths, only the one with the highest strength applies." (CRB, page 209)
