Can we send moros code out to show that we come in peace?

"Who's 'Moros' an' why's he be needin' ta be speakin' funny?"
Sorry, couldn't resist...
MichaelCullen
As you get closer you can see that she is flying to colors of a free captain, a pirate in good standing and of some repute. A title that you have not yet earned.
Your ship becomes a whirlwind of action as your crew, under Noro's direction and Calah's orders prepare the ship for a fight.
@Jax, while there is no morse code, anyone trained in profession sailing can send a message using signal flags. These messages are usually short due to how long it takes to transmit.

Your ship has made ready for battle, the Junk in front if you should be slower if you want to withdraw or come back at a more opportune time. But she does look like she is looking for a fight, or at least an easy meal. He crew can be spotted loading the ballistae. She is a little larger than your ship and you imagine she gas a slightly larger crew. If you are to win this fight it will be on your merit.
Any last minute preparations and or buffs?
Calah Riptide
"All hands prepare for battle, load and fire the chain shot! Switch to a scatter shot when they are near. Let them fear the cannon!"
Calah yells.
Don't think we had ballistae right?
She casts call lightning so that she can call down lightning bolts should the enemy vessel come close enough.
After which she prepares to cast stone calling when the enemy ship is close enough to obstruct their men.

Aye Captain Dimitrious will ready his wand of true strike, as well as a web spell to cast on the enemy ships ballista and catapult
Calah yells.

The other ship is 10 foot squares, I dont know why they do that. Please place yourself on the ship on the map.
As the other ship gets closer, a series of spells and fire start the battle.
@Kyranda, Obscuring mist has a range of 20 feet. They will have to be a little closer.
The Gun crew under Dimitrious's supervision load the chain shot and wait for the other ship to come into range. As the powder is lit a loud report rips across the sea. cannon: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 2010d10 ⇒ (7, 7, 9, 3, 10, 10, 6, 5, 5, 1) = 636d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2) = 17 We did not really discus how true strike would work with the off by x number of feet mechanic. We will play it that it allows you to ignore any 1 of the scatter dice. In this case you would normally be miss by 35 feet to the left. Getting rid of one of those 10s brings it to 15 feet to the left which will tear through a lot of rigging.
The chain shot flies through the rigging of the other ship, its lines now flapping in the wind, her sails losing much of their effect. It will be hard for the other ship to regain speed if she bleeds it off in a turn.
As the ship enters medium range Calah drops a downpour of rocks from the sky, knocking out a couple crew members near the ballistae.
Around the same time Suny makes it to the other ship, what kind of sneakiness are we going to see?
Only three balistae face forward, two of them are missing their crews, as sailors rush to re-man the ballistae, the other one launches a large bolt at your bow. Ballista: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 4 - 2 = 43d8 ⇒ (3, 2, 8) = 13 The bolt misses, landing in the water off your starbord bow.
Two more rounds until ships enter close range.
.Suny.
Sorry.. the map seems to be loading strangely. I can just make out the stern of the enemy ship..... Could Suny have made it closer than I've placed her? Much cheers to all.
Dimitrious Black
Cap'n Should I have the crew load the scatter shot
Dimitrious will cast web when within 160' attempting to cover the 3 ballistae facing us.
I too can only see the stern of the enemy ship
Calah Riptide
"Ready the scatter shot for when they get into distance. Fire at your discretion Dimitrious. Archers, focus on their ballistae crew."
Calah casts a spell and a large thunder cloud starts to float over the ship. Call lightning. Also the rocks stay on their ship which create difficult terrain for 4 more rounds.

I will ready a spark, is a cantrip and has a good range. when the other ship is about ready to fire a cannonball or some other projectile weapon, I will cast it on the enemy's weapon, hoping to make the weapon explode in the enemies face. spark ignites flammable objects, imagine the cannon ball exploding before it even leaves the cannon causing their own weapon to blow up.
Rachel Riptide
cannonballs don't explode though :p. You could explode any powder barrels they are using to load cannons. But I think they don't have any.

@Jax, Unfortunately no cannon means no powder. With Spark you can make an unattended fine object catch fire at close range. When the ships are next to each other you may be able to catch something small on fire which of course is bad for any ship at sea but to do something like that before the ships close would take a fireball. Fireball is significantly more useful at sea as so much can burn.
@ Sunny, you may place yourself anywhere you like on the other ship and have one round of shenanigans once you get there. Most of the crew is up front so if you wish to do anything in the back roll a stealth check against DC 15 t do so unnoticed. If you wish to do something topside up by the bow you need to make the reflex save against the scatter shot.
Hmm sorry about the map issues. I will see what I can do.
The ships move closer together. The other ship keeps on replenishing their ballistae crews but eventually with the web it becomes a losing battle. They ready grappling hooks as a very large man moves up to the bow.
When the other ship gets one round away Dimitrious orders batteries release on the cannon firing scatter shot into the other ship.
We will call it a 60 foot cone 6d6 damage DC 15 for half.
Damage: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 2, 1, 6) = 22
Crew member 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Crew member 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Crew member 3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Crew member 4: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Crew member 5: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Crew member 6: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Crew member 7: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Crew member 8: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Knuckles Grype: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
The entire crew up front is mowed down leaving just the hulking man standing as the two ship crash into one another.
50% chance Jax spots a fine object that could catch other objects on fire: 1d100 ⇒ 10
In the chaos of the collision Jax is unable to find a target small enough for his spark that would have any real chance of catching anything else on fire.
Initiative:
Sunny: 1 round of causing Chaos once onboard, what do you do? ;) Make it good, I am looking forward to it.
Knuckles: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Jax: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Noro: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Calah: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Kyranda: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Jax will use a swift action to reduce his arcane spell failure chance to zero. has a feat
then he will cast acid splash on the closest enemy hit: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (11) = 17 vs touch

Oh woe is me! I is lost m'self on'a map? :(
Suny zooms through the waters, for a moment forgetting pretty much every thing else and just enjoying the feel of freedom and exhilaration of swimming.
As the shadow of the enemy ship passes over her she remembers what it is she's about and quietly surfaces near the other ships stern.
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 (To try and see the ship's name any where)
Before deftly beginning to climb the hull,
Climb Check:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Once she gets high enough she peers over the deck and gets a 'lay of the land' as to where people, crew, officers, wizards, etc are stationed.
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Then, with such in mind, she makes her way to the 'rat lines' of the Aft-mast and begins to climb once more.
Climb Check:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Stealth:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Yow! Lots of low numbers there. :( Will be takin' Suny a while ta get ta do tha things she wants. :( Least she's bein' careful an' all sneaky, like.

Forgot Havok
Calah whistles sharply and Havok focuses immediately on her. The whistle combination indicate he should attack something nearby. Seeing the large warrior nearby he spreads his wings and dives in. Using his momentum from his point of origin he swoops past the big fighter and bites him with his beak. A few meters further he spreads his wings to gain some height so that he can attack the man again next round.

Jax targets the hulking man with a splash of acid. It impacts his skin leaving little burns. The man takes little notice.
Suny scampers up the mast dodging the eyes of those onboard. She has some issues getting up but eventually gets into a good position. Give me a disable device check to quickly drop a boom on the crew below.
A bolt of lighting sparks down from above the hulking man. reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 He takes the full brunt of the bolt but seems unfazed.
The hulking man charges Calah attempting to bowl through Noro on the way.
charge through: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22 success
charge attack on Calah with spiked gauntlets: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 271d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Need a fort save from Calah.
Kyranda lashes out with her whip, unexpectedly drawing deep blood. Seeing his master punched hard, Havok dives by gouging Knuckles deeply.
Calah Riptide

Calah moves back and calls down another lightning bolt on the brute.
