DM Jesse Heinig |

The goblin in the small room to the east opens the door and limps painfully out to the platform on the other side.
The two goblins still in the fray take their best shots at Magnauk and Hiro, though the one near Hiro has the disadvantage of being overwhelmed by the foul-smelling musk.
Goblin 05: Attack Magnauk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Goblin 06: Attack Hiro: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14
Magnauk easily swats aside the goblin's dogslicer, and Hiro avoids being struck by the shaken goblin below him by the simple expedient of stepping back slightly so that it can't reach his feet.
Next round!

Hiro Takemashi |

Kenji's blast of fire lances past the group and out to the goblin trailing the back, catches it full on in the chest, and sends it flying to the ground in a heap.
"Whoah! My 'flying flash fire kick' totally worked!"
"Great shot, Kenji!" Hiro exclaims as he takes another step along the walkway and slashes down a the goblin below.
5-ft. step west along edge of walkway. Standard action to attack goblin 06 from higher ground (+1 bonus to attack).
Katana Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 = 20
Katana Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Harpy Musk duration expired: 3/10 rounds.

DM Jesse Heinig |

With a soft FWSHH Hiro's blade cuts down the goblin below him as he advances to retake the step of ground he gave when he dodged the goblin's attack.
Since the battle order is currently in a "whole party, then goblins" state I'm not going to stick to a super-rigid turn order unless something requires it.

Kaijitsu Kenji |

Kenji, emboldened by the success of his last attack, tries to use a similar maneuver against the last standing goblin.
Fire Blast: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 4 = 5
and grimaces as his shot goes wide.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Lyraesel, Jinda, Magnauk, it's up to you three after the site maintenance ends!

Jinda Copperflask |

Jinda waves his axe in a threatening manner, and shouts the only word in goblin he knows,"PICKLE!".
Aid Another Action to give Magnauk a +2 to hit the squirmy thing!
Aid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Lyraesel |

Lyraesel fires again finding her skill with a bow in the heat of combat sorelt lacking. With a snarl she drops her bow, drawing her dagger as the goblin closes.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
1d8 ⇒ 4

Kaijitsu Kenji |

Kenji will step forward and attempt to deal a close combat blow to the target, shouting a "KYAAAH!" As he swings a foot at the goblin.
I have improved unarmed strike so I don't provoke an Aoo, though i still only do like 1d3 damage :/
Goblin Punt!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Fail! Derp.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Hang on there Kenji, the goblins have their turn still!
The badly-injured goblin limps along the walkway on the east side, headed for the door to the south of him, but is unable to yank it open as he nurses his wounds.
The goblin below Mangauk desperately tries to slice the half-orc.
Goblin 05: Attack Magnauk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
His blow is ill-timed and doesn't faze the paladin in the least.
To the southwest, another door creaks open, and three more goblins emerge, yammering in their guttural tongue. Hiro can just make them out, around the corner and down one of the rickety lanes.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Dogslicers, same ol' same ol'. It's kind of a clown car of goblins.

Hiro Takemashi |

DM Jesse, what kind of check would be required for me to jump down from the 5-ft. high walkway to land next to Magnauk? With my armor check penalty and reduced speed I have a jump check modifier of -6, so I'm wondering if it would be more prudent for me to take a full round action to double-move east along the walkway and climb down the ladder to rejoin my companions vs. jumping down and attempting to attack the lone goblin that they're fighting.

DM Jesse Heinig |

5' down is no check -- it's only a problem when you are going down far enough to take damage, in which case it's DC 15 to reduce the damage and you become prone if you don't reduce it all. So this is no problem, even with armor. Do note that the goblins that popped out of the room to the southwest are gonna take a round to get closer because of the distance, so you may have a bit of time to decide where you wanna hold the line!

Magnauk-Halistrom |

Magnauk is becoming frustrated at the little vile creatures and it shows.
You could have talked but NO!!!
Magnauk's muscles flex as he swings down hard on the creature before him.
power attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 1 = 14
power damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7

DM Jesse Heinig |

Well, Magnauk didn't manage to connect, so let's see if Jinda or Lyraesel brings the hurt.

Lyraesel |

Stepping forward in a crouch, Lyraesel's arm flashes forward, her dagger biting deep into the goblin before her.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Jinda Copperflask |

Moving to the other side of Kenji, so as to have a clear line of site on Goblin 05, Jinda utters, "दंव रे" The shot definitely misses the goblin and splashes a small burst of ice against a pillar holding up the walkway. Oh.. I didn't realize this adventuring thing was going to be so tough, I'm bleeding a bit and can't even hit a goblin with the simplest of cantrips...
Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Kaijitsu Kenji |

Kenji looks at Jinda who seems to be having a hard time, and makes a decision.
"Stay near me." he says, "I'll help keep them off you."
I'm readying an action to Aid Another on Jinda should be attacked by another goblin. I have the helpful trait so I give +3 instead of +2 on such actions

DM Jesse Heinig |

The goblin that Lyraesel slashed (goblin 5) staggers away from the group, doing his best to disengage. Since he can't withdraw (while staggered) and can't take a 5' step (since the fallen bodies of his compatriots are difficult terrain), this provokes attacks of opportunity from Magnauk and Lyraesel.
The three goblins who recently emerged from the room to the south come racing along the platform toward the group.
Goblin 07: Save vs. harpy musk: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Goblin 08: Save vs. harpy musk: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
The goblins notice the strange scent of the harpy musk, but seem to gather their resolve against it.
Goblin 09 is not yet in range of the musk.

DM Jesse Heinig |

As Jinda is having computer trouble and we're moving at a pretty good clip here, I'll take his action.
Jinda fires another ray of frost at the departing goblin (#5).
Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Hiro Takemashi |

Hiro hops down off the walkway to await the onrushing goblins with his companions, taking up a defensive stance alongside Lyraesel.
Move action to hop off of walkway and move 10 ft. to square just west of Lyraesel. Standard action for Total Defense, granting +4 dodge bonus to AC for 1 round; new AC 22.
Harpy Musk duration expired: 4/10 rounds.

DM Jesse Heinig |

CRUNCH! Magnauk's swing crushes the goblin as it tries to escape, killing it instantly.

Magnauk-Halistrom |

cant move but move me up towards the new goblins coming
Magnauk finishes the goblin in front of him and moves up the stairs toward the new threat.
you stupid goblins want nothing but your own destruction why is that.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Magnauk, I just need to know your handle for Roll20 so that I can give you control of your token. :D

DM Jesse Heinig |

I've moved Magnauk's token up next to Hiro so they can frontline as the latest wave of goblins advances. And advance they do!
The goblins come racing down the boards, heedless of their security, waving their dogslicers in the air and making quite a racket.
Goblin 07: Attack Hiro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Goblin 08: Attack Magnauk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
One of the goblins, amazingly, manages to give Magnauk momentary pause as his swing with the dogslicer catches the paladin by surprise and leaves the scarred half-orc having to adjust his guard at the last moment.
Goblin 08: Damage to Magnauk: 1d4 ⇒ 1
The goblin bringing up the rear also comes in range of the harpy stench emanating from Hiro's armor:
Goblin 09: Will save. vs. harpy stench: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
. . . which seems to put him at unease.

Kaijitsu Kenji |

Kenji takes a shot, firing a blast of flames at the one that hesitated. fire blast: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18 Boom! crit confirm: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5
sigh... well a hit is still a hit.
fire damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
-Posted with Wayfinder

DM Jesse Heinig |

The goblin that Kenji blasts (goblin 09) takes the fire full in the chest and neck, and spends the next several seconds dancing in a circle wildly, screaming at the top of its little goblin-lungs.

Hiro Takemashi |

Standing shoulder to shoulder with Magnauk, Hiro slashes his katana at the goblin before him.
Standard action to attack goblin 07.
Katana Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Katana Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Extra Crit Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Harpy Musk duration expired: 5/10 rounds.

Jinda Copperflask |

Moving up slightly, Jinda fires another Ray of Frost off at a goblin (09), aiming for the one hit by Kenji. "Lets see how a little fire and ice combo works!"
Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

Magnauk-Halistrom |

Magnauk swings his sword at the nearest goblin.
You evil creatures could turn from your ways but you choose not to.
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
damage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
That sucks
Magnauks half hearted swing is way too high and the goblin easily ducks under it.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Hiro cuts down the goblin that he faces with one perfectly-placed swing. Jinda's bolt of frost, meanwhile, catches the hopping, shouting goblin and finishes the job that Kenji's fire blast started.
Lyraesel!

Lyraesel |

Moving forward, Lyraesel plunges her dagger into the goblin.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

DM Jesse Heinig |

Lyraesel's attack manages to startle the goblin but not finish it, leaving it with a jagged stab wound that skids along one shoulder, only partly mitigated by the goblin's armor.
The lone standing goblin in the midst of the group looks sheepishly at the party surrounding it, and tries to withdraw, screaming at the top of its lungs.
Goblin 08 uses its action to withdraw 30' to the south along the platform.
The weak and badly-wounded goblin also fleeing along the platform to the east of the party uses some of its feeble strength to yank open the door to that chamber, at which point another three goblins come barreling out, with dogslicers at their belts and small shortbows in hand.
The goblins take up positions at the edge of the eastern platform and fire their bows at the party!
Goblin 10: Fire shortbow at Hiro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Goblin 11: Fire shortbow at Hiro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Goblin 12: Fire shortbow at Hiro: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Goblin 12 has to fire past his friends, so Hiro gets soft cover from them.
One arrow actually hits, and though Hiro shrugs it off, it certainly draws the party's attention.
Goblin 11: Shortbow damage on Hiro: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Your turn!

Jinda Copperflask |

"Bloody Hell!"shouts Jinda, his dwarven accent getting thick,"Who ever heard of the nasty little biters setting up an ambush like this!"
Jinda swirls about and takes aim on a goblin (11), and points a finger. "जादूची क्षेपणास्त्र" shouts Jinda, as a bolt of force shoots forth and slams into the goblin.
Magic Missile Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Hiro Takemashi |

"Follow me!" Hiro hisses to Lyraesel and Magnauk as he races along the walkway and into the hut where the companions first encountered the goblins.
Full round action to double move 40 ft. east into the hut.
Harpy Musk duration expired: 6/10 rounds.

Lyraesel |

Grabbing up her bow, her dagger held between her teeth, Lyraesel sends an arrow after the fleeing goblin, before preparing to run after Hiro.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
1d8 ⇒ 6

DM Jesse Heinig |

Lyraesel's shot goes wide, but it sure puts some extra fear into the fleeing goblin.
Magnauk finds that the goblins have left the various doors open, allowing him to barge through their filthy guard-towers unhindered. It's like they were born in a barn or something.
Kenji!

Kaijitsu Kenji |

im not at a pc at the moment, so i can't check roll20, but I'd like to take off after magnauk if possible.
-Posted with Wayfinder

DM Jesse Heinig |

The two wounded goblins continue fleeing, while the three with bows wait on the ledge as one of them jabbers some kind of directions in the goblin language. Apparently they're waiting for Magnauk and Hiro to come out the other side of the ramshackle room, at which point they'll likely launch arrows.

DM Jesse Heinig |

I've moved your token over near Magnauk and Hiro.

Hiro Takemashi |

DM Jesse - I can't quite tell from the map, but is there a stairway in the northern end of this shack that leads to an upper level and/or access to the roof?

DM Jesse Heinig |

DM Jesse - I can't quite tell from the map, but is there a stairway in the northern end of this shack that leads to an upper level and/or access to the roof?
Lets you see over the wall. It looks like the building is a makeshift watchtower.

Hiro Takemashi |

Would it be possible to climb up there and make ranged attacks against the archer goblins that are waiting to shoot us when we go through the door?
