Dungeon Master

This large chamber with rough-hewn walls has a domed ceiling rising fifteen feet overhead. To the west is heaped a large mound of crushed nettles and briars arranged in some sort of nest while to the east lies a massive mound of bones. The area smells strangely musty and acrid.

Bofus stows the wand, and searches the pile o' bones.

Dungeon Master

Bofus pulls out the wand of Cure Light Wounds and begins sapping its magic as fast as he can. First on Tirion and then on Mantooth. Slowly, and with repeated attempts, both of their wounds magically heal and they are both feeling near perfect.

Bofus:
You search through the pile of bones. Although no treasure is found amongst the bones, you do find a scrap of material that appears to have the emblem of the Red Hand on it. You wonder if perhaps some of these bones once belonged to hobgoblins.

Please note that I am not going to take a single perception check for the room. Please roll for each area that you are searching. Specifics are always better.

Male Human Paladin 9 (HP:68/102, AC: 28, Touch: 16; +10 Fort, +6 Reflex, +11 Will)

After Mantooth frees himself from the dead lizard's grip, he takes a moment to say a brief prayer after coming that close to death. "Thank you Iomedae for giving me the strength necessary to survive and serve you further."

Afterwards, he gratefully accepts Bofus' healing. "Thank you, Bofus. I shall try to be more careful next time. I seem to often forget that we no longer have the healing power of Sarenrae to accompany us."

Tirion moves up and steps over the corpse of the monster before casting Detect Magic to determine whether anything magical is stashed in the draconic monster's horde.

Dungeon Master

Bofus begins moving counter clockwise around the rough hewn room and when you get to the eastern wall (AW&AX 23), you find a hidden rock that upon pressing it, unlatches a secret door!

As he proceeds around the room, he also find a simple bracelet around the creature's left foreleg. It is made up of seven black pearls.

Tirion casts detect magic upon the nest of crushed nettles and briars. Although he looks into the magical spectrum, he is unable to see any auras given off. The pearls do not radiate any magic either.

Bofus, confident in his trap-spotting ability, takes a first step into the hallway. Guys, be close behind me, OK?

Dungeon Master

The chamber beyond the sercret door is dark and it quickly falls into shadows. What light source do you have available?

Male Human Paladin 9 (HP:68/102, AC: 28, Touch: 16; +10 Fort, +6 Reflex, +11 Will)

Mantooth moves to the edge of the chamber's doorway and, without stepping inside, casts Detect Evil at the darkness ahead.

Bofus deliberately brings out a sunrod, and makes ready to light it--waiting to see if anyone objects.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

I will take the Cloak +2. I already have the Periapt of Health on my sheet, I have had it ever since we got it I believe.

Unless all three of you already have belts, someone should be wearing the Belt of Strength. If you all already have belts, I will wear it - no need to let +2 Strength go to waste.

Add my old Cloak +1 to the loot so that someone else can use it. If nobody wants it, we can sell it.

Dungeon Master

Mantooth:
You take the time to detect evil into the dark room, but you are unable to see any evil auras in the area.

Once Bofus lights a sunrod, you are able to see that this long, ten-foot-wide hallway climbs in a complete circle, slowing gently upward from the secret door. Straight ahead, await two ghost lions standing guard. Their incorporeal bodies are each partially through the wall.

Bofus gives Tirion a smirk, then a wink.

He then slowly brings out the lead box with the fake phylactey inside and presents it in front of himself. He opens it, and takes out the fake phylactery and holds it up.

The Ghostlord is going to want to see this. We seek a discussion with His Ghostship, and we're very confident that he will be quite cross if something bad were to happen to us, considering... the halfling then jangles the fake a little.

Dungeon Master

The ghost lions simply growl a low rumble and stare back with a blank unintelligible look of an animal defending its lair. There is no appearance of recognition on their part and you believe that these creatures have no more intelligence than a lion that is not undead.
