Is it worth using potions of reduce person with the risky striker feat to be able to increase your damage output vs medium sized creatures?
Your to hit would stay the same [+1 from size, -1 from str] but your damage would increase even though your str drops by one as you'll gain that back with the +2 from risky striker at levels 1-3 [also note that you'll lose an average of 1 point of damage from the smaller weapon] but once you reach level 4 you're gaining damage output [not to mention +2 AC and +1 to ref saves and initiative]
So being tiny you'll be occupying the same square as your enemy, does the enemy leaving the square you're occupying provoke an AoO?
And, do you provoke moving into the enemy's square?

yeah, i think it's a workable strategy at higher levels. definitely the opposite of a reach build though.
probably works best for rogues/ninjas and inquisitors with bane, or smiting paladins...
in that case, they aren't entirely depending on the DMG boost per se, they're just milking the attack bonus.
it could still work fine for other classes like fighters, but if the attack bonus itself isn't as amazing as it is for those classes, then i think you'd want some other reason to be entering opponents' squares - monkey style comes to mind, and keep in mind the opportunity cost of investing feats into this when you could be doing other stuff e.g. reach weapon tactics. i do see this as especially effective vs. reach weapon users, once you are on their toes they can't even just 5' step back to use their weapon, they would have to 10' move (and provoke from you). downside is going to be CMB/CMD but that is easy enough to buff (especially for weapon CMBs that can use weapon training/dueling/etc).
if you are tiny, you normally threaten your same square, so the enemy leaving this square would provoke.
all characters also normally threaten their own square(s), unless using a reach weapon and they don't have UAS or other normal-reach weapons ready.
unless they are using a reach weapon (or are unarmed) and don't threaten adjacent squares, then you leaving their adjacent squares (to enter their square) will also potentially provoke.
lunge might be a good feat to have, just to have flexibility while you are tiny size.
as to how tiny/etc reach weapons work... don't ask me ;-)

it is questionable. strict rules say no, 0 ft reach even with a reach weapon(i forget the specifics but you double 0 reach, which is kind of silly), but you can also treat it as 2.5 reach rounded down, that way a reach weapon doubling it would then go to 5ft. that is the reasonable interpretation imo.
without a reach weapon you'd have to provoke and enter enemy squares to melee attack.
