Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Force Damage: 10d4 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 3, 2, 3, 4, 2, 2, 4) = 31 /2 = 15 damage
Force Damage to the Priest: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) + 3 = 12
Nowzai shouts in alarm as the wand crackles and flashes. He tosses it a second before it explodes, saving his hand but still taking a solid blast of force from the isolated detonation. Happily, his three force missiles also find their way to their intended target.

There's a decent chance I'll kill the priest Nowzai, not sure if that'll change your action or not! Let me know when you have a chance to take a look at the map Tike, I think that square I talked about should get me past the wall. Looking at it, it's 2 feet wide, so there should be room, if I absolutely can't attack from the square I'm moving myself into, then I'll most likely take a AoO from the demon and move way past him (I still have 40 feet of movement left in a standard move action).
Here was the single attack on the priest:
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18 Miss:1d100 ⇒ 57 Crit: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Jenya Urikas *NPC* |

Nemoris, move yourself to the square you're talking about so I can be sure. You will kill the priest if you shoot at him and hit
Sam, please update your mirror images to 3 as well

Nowzai al'Nazari |

Nowzai's missiles will take down the priest also... I'd recommend Nemoris make a full attack on the demon instead. You're definitely higher damage output. If not, and the priest drops, Nowzai would target the demon with a sonic orb... but I'll eat the explosion if I can get an auto-SR bypass. =P

Jenya Urikas *NPC* |

He did get the AoO on you, not sure why you thought he didn't. I count a mirror image hit as losing an image as well, thus down to 3. Also why I write "lose an image" in the dice block.
-Posted with Wayfinder

Sama'el Val'varen |

I moved before magma broke free in round 3, so he was still grappled and there fore no AoO. Also where does it say that actually getting hit takes an image, cause I am reading the spell right now and it says nothing about that
ergo I am down 1 image...
edit - and on your hit, in the hit box you don't say I lost an image. And I just now noticed you went back and crossed out the part where you said that the AoO didn't happen and I got my image back, not sure when exactly Magma was free, cause it shouldn't have been 2nd action in round 3.

I can't Nowazi, the wind wall prevents all of my attacks unless I move. I won't even hit the demon in this round.
Magma goes after Sam, and he rolled his successful grapple in the same round I believe, pretty sure no AoO should have been possible.

I never said the demon didn't still get an AoO ... I said the demon had a special caveat ... he gets the AoO. He is NOT considered grappled while holding Magma in his hand, regardless if he's released him or not. Hopefully this will quell all the Nowzai, Nemoris, and Sam questions about this and future AoOs
ergo I am down 1 image...

Now I see your confusion, The strikethrough was not for the AoO. I won't go into the gory details, but it had to do with full attack vs standard attack, so the image in question was the bite.
You are correct with the actual hit not counting for image loss... got confused to how I ended up with a 1d4 for that last attack and realized I should have started with a 1d7 not a 1d6. I apologize. Shouldn't be posting while on a date with my wife ;).
Sam: To sum up: you have 4 images. Post coming shortly

BA ... RE ... GA ... RA ... Round 4
Init: Dalamus, Sam, Nemoris, Akkituk, Magma, Epik, Nowzai, Jenya, Baregara
Dalamus draws his sword, dropping his bow and sneaks, quickly around the wall to come up near the unsuspecting priest.
Sam swings strong with his enhanced sword, gauging the speed of the beast and the thickness of its hide, but just barely misses as an unseen protective force also adds its protection. He comes stronger with a second blow that penetrates the unseen force and unleashes his spell creating a gash on the creature's forehead overcoming the creature's innate resistance. He charges his sword with a frost spell and swings again missing the beast.
(Slight change in your flow given you missed your first attack. Please keep track of the damage and the penalties at the beginning of your turn ... I've got it for this round: takes effect on his turn)
Nemoris moves and fires (not sure where and at what at this point, but am assuming at the priest, killing him, ... please confirm)
Magma steps away from the demon to the northeast and takes a swing banging his hammer ineffectually off the creature's hide. (haste attack or move action?)
Epik continues his holy onslaught, eyes blazing with righteous fire getting another blow through and leaving a smoking hole in the creature's side causing it to roar with pain and focus on the paladin.
Nowzai uses his wand, causing it to explode but shooting bolts at the demon. (Auto SR bypass granted to keep the game moving)
Jenya channels energy healing everyone but Dalamus for Channel: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 4) = 13.
The giant monkey demon, no longer with a guide, roars in defiance both the vicious wounds from Epik still leaving black trails of smoke. It lashes out at the melee combatants biting Epik and then picking him up with sharp cutting claws and pulling him in to be bitten by his chest maw. The beast turns to Sam for a swipe and a gore, but the magus is able to dodge and weave losing a single image in the process.
(Note Epik is grappled and the Baregara is NOT!)
Baregara PA Bite vs Epik: 1d20 + 19 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 19 - 1 = 29; HIT!; Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 8 = 22

Leaving the dead monkey cleric, Dalamus sneaks up to flank the demon monkey ducking under a wide swing from the dangerous demon and slashes it once in the side deeply, the Lawful energy of his weapon blasting into the beast as yet another bleeding wound appears.
Sam takes advantage of the demon's distraction to hammer him with a frost-lined blow causing ice to form up as rime around the beast's midsection and causing it to move with seemingly drunken slowness.

Round 5 continued
Was holding out to allow Nemoris a shot, but we will press. Between the archer and Magma, the arrows and hammering strikes combine with the blood loss and the immense creature sags under the blows eventually dropping it's arms to the side and swaying to and fro. Finally with a sweeping smash, Magma fells the creature like a tree.
Silence hits the cavern for the first time, punctuated only by the final rasping breaths of the baregara. When it blows out its last rattling sigh, a high-pitched keen is taken up throughout the caves and within a few moments the sounds of hoots and scrabbling feet climb and then recede as the remaining charau-ka clan flee from the caves.
END COMBAT! Actions from here?
Inside the strange throne/sculpture you discover a treasure trove of coins and magic including magical gloves, a potion of delay poison, a
potion of water breathing, a gold goblet studded with turquoise
worth 700gp, a flawless red glass orb worth 100 gp, seven silver rings worth 50 gp each, four amethysts worth 100 gp each, five bloodstones worth 50 gp each, 15 pieces of malachite worth 10 gp each, 44 pp, 1,281 gp, 2,373 sp, and 5,172 cp.
On the white anghanzani, you find [/i]bracers of armor +2, a +1 large light wooden shield, a +1 large throwing axe[/i], 7 large masterwork throwing axes
On the priest you find a +1 spear, a wand of silence (10 charges), bracers of armor +4, and a silvery key on a necklace etched with Celestial markings
Amongst the various charau-ka warriors you tally the following (all equipment is small): 7 masterwork darkwood clubs, 9 sets of masterwork studded leather armor, 5 cure moderate wounds potions, 7 masterwork darkwood light shields, 14 masterwork throwing axes, 3 masterwork greatclubs, 3 sets of masterwork hide armor, 18 javelins, 3 copper armbands worth 30 gp, 2 masterwork shortswords

Nemoris |

The square you've got me in is good Tike, and that was my exact intent, drop the priest if I couldn't get a full attack on the demon.
If I take a 5 foot step West (or Northwest, although it looks pretty narrow), will I be able to make an attack and not have a soft cover bonus? Looks like I should have a pretty straight shot at him.

Nemoris |

Just missed it, Nemoris! I gave you the priest kill last round, but missed you for the baregara kill. Gave it to Magma :)
Works for me, just glad we killed him and didn't lose anyone!
Well fought everyone, let's gather up the spoils, and see about a defensible area to recover. How is everyone faring? It looked like Magma and Epik bore the brunt of the demon, but I think Dalamus and Nowazi were already injured before that last encounter.

Sama'el Val'varen |

"Great job....Now lets get out of here. I am bit battered, but I will live."
While no one is looking, Sam quickly stabs Dalamus to death.... :)
"I am in agreement with Nemoris and Dalamus, this is a good time for a strategic retreat, remember we are not on a timeline here, we do not know if Alek is still alive or if he has perished, but if we continue at this pace we will be no good to him even if we do find him"
Are there still lots of hoots and what not in these tunnles or has it gone quiet?
If there are hoots, Sam will fly in the rear and drop a grease from his wand at the choke points along the way to slow them down.
I too could use a few healing surges
[edit] I will assume it was Dalamus who sat there counting all the coins, Sam will try and move him along with the promise that Dalamus can roll around in the coins as soon as we all get somewhere safe

Dalamus Othreleth |

it was....Dalamus can't wipe the smile from his face, no matter how much of his blood covers the coins!

Epik |

Epik will heal himself back to full hit points. "We still have healing. If we stop to rest it allows the enemy to regroup. I would prefer to press on while we have them on the run."
LoH: 4d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 3) + 7 = 20

Sama'el Val'varen |

"Bravery is to be commended, stupidity avoided." Sama'el says, "It is not just enough to have healing, we will need to be at our full strength. Nidrama warned us that The Lord of the Demonskar knows we were coming and this won't change this place being ready for us."
"We need rest and to prepare for what lies ahead, I am not suggesting that we go and rest, I am saying that I am going to go find a place to rest, I would suggest you all come with."

Nowzai al'Nazari |

Nowzai sighs. "You mentioned avoiding stupidity, so do not wander off alone. We have experienced that folly all too many times."
"That being resolved, where do you intend to rest safely? It took us hours to reach this place from our last camp. We certainly cannot drop camp right here."
"Ultimately, Epik is right. We still retain our magic enhancements, Jenya has some healing power left, and the core of our offensive power is intact. Most importantly, we have the initiative, and the enemy is on their heels. We must press the advantage."

Nemoris |

I don't think it's safe or wise to press on. Everyone is tired and hurt. There should be a fairly safe place not too far from the entrance where we can setup camp and rest. I'll head back with Sam now and find it. As you said Nowazi, let's not wander off alone. I'd much rather we all head back and take a few hours to recover.
Survival check to look for tracks and paths at the entrance, and search for an out of the way campsite within a few miles of the entrance: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
