Karla moves forward and unleashes a spray of clashing colors over Sia and the two nearest troglodytes. The wolf is stunned by the spell, but both troglodytes fall to the ground, unconscious.

Nik'o charges right up to the troglodyte acolyte and leaps upon it. Her teeth find the creature's throat, and she tears it out as she bowls the trog to the ground. It falls and lies still. Rogar and Wulfram are able to easily finish off the pair of stunned troglodytes.

When you get a chance to look around this room, you see stone shelves have been cut into the walls, and each shelf is heaped with dried mushrooms, baskets of herbs, root vegetables, and other fragrant foodstuffs. Empty baskets and cloth sacks lie in a pile in one corner.

There are 10 Provison Points' worth of food here. The trogs have two clubs, 4 stench-gas bladders, oil of magic weapon, potion of owl's wisdom, heavy crossbow, mwk spear, and a geode periapt worth 25 gp.

Rogar walks over and, after ensuring that his companions have no objections, causes a pair of stalactites to fall from the ceiling and impale the unconscious troglodytes.

Wulfram moved over to Sia and attended to her wounds.

Healing Hex, Frontier Healer (Sia): 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11

He paused and listened for sounds of more troglodytes in nearby caverns.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Wulfram has two 3 minute duration spells running: Bless and Bull's Strength, so he wants to keep attacking and make the most of them.

Wulfram can hear the faint sounds of croaking frogs coming from the southeast. A glowing light can be seen around the bend in the passage in that direction. He doesn't hear any other sounds coming from the other passages.

Everybody who was sickened is back to normal now. There are about 2 minutes left on Wulfram's buffs.

The air is damp and moist here, but it's a fresh, cool mist. A rough crystal globe hangs from the ceiling, candles burning within it. The light from the globe refracts off the mist in the room and the crystal growths on the walls, filling the room with rainbows. A bubbling fountain in the center creates a jet of clear water that continually drains back into the ground.

A pair of frogs the size of cats are here, hopping around the room. A single troglodyte watches over them. They don't seem to notice Rogar yet.

Another passage continues south at the far end of the room.

Updated map to come in a few hours.

Sia's AC is currently 19. The trogs attacks don't look like they should have hit her. The highest was 17. That would at least save the healing hex. She would only be down 3 hp.

Eustoma follows Wulfram to peer inside the room. I wonder if we'll be taking the frogs with us too? Battle frogs?

Rogar grabs a fistful of stone from the cavern wall and sends a sizeable chunk of rock hurtling towards the troglodyte's head.
Kinetic Blast, PBS: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 72d6 + 10 ⇒ (4, 5) + 10 = 19

And instead it turns out to be nothing more than a clump of dust, which disintegrates right after being thrown.

I see the bad rolls are back.

The troglodyte cries out in pain as Eustoma's arrow finds its target. Rogar's earth blast evaporates before striking the troglodyte, though.

Seeing that he wasn't going to have room to use his spear, Wulfram dropped it and drew his heavy mace as he moved to engage the nearest troglodyte. "Say hello to my mace, stinky one!". he cried, swinging his weapon down.

Nik'o glides to the mouth of the cave and fires at the frog engaged with Rogar.

Meanwhile, Nik'o darts in and growls as she takes the measure of the remaining frog. Crouching low, she blasts through the cave and launches at the frog.

Wulfram moves in and brings his heavy mace down on the troglodyte's skull. The metal proves stronger than bone--there's a resounding CRACK, and the trog falls limply to the ground.

Karla steps over the troglodyte and blasts a frog with a magic missile, dropping the tiny amphibian. Nik'o launches at the other frog, grabbing it in her mouth and thrashing it back and forth. Her teeth pierce its soft skin, and it slumps, blood oozing from the dying animal.

Another fast fight. The trog has--you guessed it--a club and two stench-gas bladders. The 2-pound crystal globe has a continual flame spell cast on it. It can easily be removed from the stone hook in the roof and is worth 250 gp.

The overgrown frogs are members of a poisonous species. If they had bit you, it would not have been a pleasant experience.

Wulfram can hear faint movement from the cave beyond the southern exit--the crunch of feet on gravel, a soft hissing breath.

The frogs are both unconscious and dying, Rogar. Don't know if you want to heal them and then corral them. :)

Countless bones jut from the clay walls of this chamber. Grinning skulls peer down over the ends of femurs and ulnas sticking out at odd angles. Most of the bones are from animals—some as large as stags and bears—but some are undeniably human.

Three troglodytes stand guard in this room. Two seem like typical specimens, but the third is a hulking warrior in spiked armor. She holds a massive hammer in one hand while she hefts a javelin in the other, eyes fixed on the entrance to the cave.

5-foot step to get to 30 feet away from the big trog (if needed), move action to Gather Power, and standard to use Pushing Infusion, hopefully putting the warrior 35 feet away and more than 1 move action from Rogar.

Karla, seeing Rogar fire at a group of Trogs, decides that it is time for a change in tactics. She crouches and grabs a bit of soil from the cavern floor and traces a line in the air with it. The soil flies as it bounces off the floor and flies along the surface to just where Rogar stands. As it nears the cave's entrance, it sinks in the ground, pushing soil and creating a high mound like a wall, standing 3 feet high and blocking the entrance, providing cover to Rogar, who can barely see above it.

Cast Expeditious Construction. I placed the wall on the map. DC 5 to climb.

She then pushes Nik'o forward to guard Rogar.

Rogar steps up and blasts the big troglodyte. She cries out in pain as she's blasted back a few feet by the force of the attack.

Karla conjures a wall in front of Rogar, giving the dwarf cover, as she send Nik'o in to guard him.

The big trog growls and stomps, working herself into a rage! She hurls her javelin at Rogar, but it clatters harmlessly against the wall. Then she hefts her warhammer in both hands as she moves in. She hangs back a bit and lets the other trogs rush forward, trying to hit Rogar over the wall. The cover keeps the kineticist safe from their blows.

Dropping his spear again, Wulfram moved up to the wall and bashed at the troglodyte in from of him.

If it's easier to attack over the wall with his spear, he'll use that instead (it's not mwk, so would be -1 to hit). I'm assuming that the Bless and Bull's Strength are still running.

Botting Karla to keep things moving, hope she doesn't mind.

Wulfram moves up to the wall next to Rogar. He bashes the troglodyte on the other side with his mace, leaving it dazed and bleeding.

Eustoma begins casting a lengthy incantation.

Rogar tries to hurl a blast of earth over the wall at the other troglodyte, but the same cover that protected him now keeps the trog from getting hit.

Cover adds to AC; concealment provides a miss chance.

Karla launches a magic missile at the wounded trog, bringing it down.

The big troglodyte rushes in to take its place. Stepping on her fallen comrade, she swings her hammer at Wulfram. It smashes into the earthen wall, spraying a shower of dirt over the shaman but leaving him otherwise unharmed! The other trog tries to hit him as well, but fails miserably.

Karla smiles at Eustoma's quip. She points the wand and sends mire missiles flying.

"Use distance! Hit it if it tries to climb!" she tries.

Wulfram swings on the big trog, but she ducks back behind the wall and he hits only dirt.

Roaring with rage, the trog swings at Wulfram again with her hammer. This time she hits, a resounding blow that cracks a few ribs and knocks the wind out of the big smith! Then she whirls to try to bite the centipede in half, but the insect wriggles away from her snapping teeth!

There is also a silver locket containing a braided length of blond hair (25 gp), two plain platinum rings (50 gp each), a battered wooden flute in a silver and velvet case decorated with mums and cypress (the case is worth 125 gp), and a magic pearl.

Wulfram examined the magic pearl as well.

Spellcraft (pearl): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

"I wonder whose hair this is? he said, looking inside the silver locket.

Wulfram is unable to identify the pearl at this time.

"Trophies... All of them were killed, or worse..." Karla says, sobering from the thrill of victory.

"Well, you think these tunnels go deeper than this?" she asks.

Rogar nods his thanks as Wulfram's magic knits his stony flesh back together, the wound nearly closing, "Thank ye, lad. Tha' hurt a bit. Now, where ta next?" he listens for the next set of trogs.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Rogar moves to the mouth of the next tunnel. The corridor here slopes down at irregular angles and reeks of dampness. The walls are jagged and covered with sharp stone barbs. Mossy growths spread across the floor and walls, old bones lying pale against the dark moss.

Rogar doesn't hear any noises, but he does spy something near the ceiling. Two of the "stalactites" shift slightly, and he can see several tiny, red eyes studding them.

Rogar tries to figure out what these things are, and if they are likely k be hostile.

Wulfram looked around the room at the extensive collection of bones. "They're mostly from animals, but I see some human bones too," he said grimly.

Looking at the descending passageway. "We should check that there are no more Trogs behind us, before we explore down there," he suggested. "We bypassed a few areas back the way we came."

Rogar doesn't know what the strange-looking creatures are.

Rogar retreats back to the other room, "Okay, so there's some strange stalactite creatures in tha next room. Ah don' know wha' they are, or if they're hostile ta us. Wha' do ye all think?"

"I think we should go back and check the areas we bypassed for more troglodytes," Wulfram said. "Stalactite creatures don't sound very mobile, so my suggestion would be to leave them for now until we've cleared the other areas."

That sounds like a good plan Wulfram. I don't want any trogs coming up behind us while we go lower into their caves."

"I saw another passageway near the entrance to the frog cave," Wulfram said. "That's closest to us — let's look there next. After that we can look at the areas near the first cave. I heard the sound of dripping water."
