Kel moves forward and blesses the party with a fervor.

move forward 30 to get everyone and Blessing of Fervor

BoF:

With this blessing, you call your allies to move forth and empower them to conquer and become victorious. Each round for the duration of this spell, each of your allies can choose one of the following bonuses for that round at the beginning of its turn (their choice).

Increase its speed by 30 feet.
Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
Make one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus.
Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.

These effects are not cumulative with similar effects, such as those provided by haste or a speed weapon, nor do they actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round. Blessing of fervor does not stack with haste.

Lefrik hacked away at teh demon snake, tearing through the diamond-hard scales and ripping open huge rents in the flesh. Bruendor's attacks were more of a distraction, as his blade barely nicked the demon. One of Calla's arrows managed to hit a spot where Lefrik had knocked away some scales, driving deeply into the demon.

Anklebiter directed the fire elemental to move behind the snake, and the creature did so blindly, ignoring the terrible attack that it opened itself to. The goblin pulled a scroll from his pouch and read it hastily, coincidentally invoking that very spell.

The snake struck at Lefrik again, driving its fangs at the less-armored foe with the terrible sword. Then, the tails slammed into the fire elemental, ignoring the flames and smothered the creature entirely. When they uncurled, only a wisp of smoke was left of the creature from the plane of fire.

Haste is up on the party. Note: DO NOT double the effects of haste and BOF.

The relentless pounding of Calla's arrows coupled with Lefrik's mighty blows are enough to down the snake-demon, who looks down at the great wounds in its body with surprise before keeling over. The floor trembled slightly as the massive form slumped to the ground, and Bruendor and Lefrik had to leap aside to avoid the coils of snakeflesh that spilled outward. One tail kept twitching long after the rest of the body was stilled, making an eerie staccato of raspy scales on stone floor.

To the south, an opening in the wall led to an underground river of black blood. To the north, another set of double doors with the now-familiar glyphs on them led deeper into the temple.

Roosting on snake-bodied pillars around the room are more vrocks, four of them.

In the arcane spectrum, she fairly glows with protective and offensive magics. To teh visible eye, she merely smiles like a lover reunited with one she hasn't seen in ages. She didn't pause her chanting, but jerked her chin at you. The nine soldiers spun, weapons coming to hands, and prepared the attack. On the pillars, the vrocks lifted their wings and prepared to swoop in as well, leaving Allevrah and her priestesses to continue the rite.

Bruendor pulled a gem out of his pouch and lobbed it into the room behind the vrocks. The crystal smashed and a large earth elemental erupted from it. The elemental came up swinging, and while the first attack missed, the second caught the vrock in front of Bruendor right on the beak and cracked it.

The soldiers, unable to get to the door because of the vroacks, all pulled hand crossbows and fired at Bruendor and Lefrik. A series of clicks can be heard, but neither Lefrik or Bruendor is hit by the missles as the vrocks completely fill the doorway.

Kel chants and a blessing drapes over the party while she draws a gem from her haversack.

cast Blessing of Fervor and move action to pull out a gem

Blessing of Fervor:

Male(HP:(198; DR 2(3 when raging);AC:22/12/22;F+17,R+8,W+9;Init +0;Per +15) Human (Ulfen) Barbarian 13

Feeling the fervor of the Oracle's blessing fill him, Lefrik snarls at the Vrok before him, "You're standing in my way!" and he tries to take the demon before him down fast. He lets the rage flow like a snow frosted mountain suddenly unleashing volcanic fury!

Power attack adjustments included, Rage also Plus 2 on Attack Rolls AC (should counter Rage penality) and Reflex saves for blessing this round. Demonbane cold iron bastard sword in use

To hit #1 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (19) + 23 = 42
Dmg if that hits 1d10 + 26 ⇒ (5) + 26 = 31 plus Bane 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9
To hit #2 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20
Dmg if that hits 1d10 + 26 ⇒ (1) + 26 = 27 plus Bane 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
to hit #3 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
Dmg if that hits 1d10 + 26 ⇒ (1) + 26 = 27 plus Bane 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

EDIT Possible Crit on first strike. To confirm 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (15) + 23 = 38
If that confirmed,cold iron dmg added is 1d10 + 26 ⇒ (5) + 26 = 31

Divine retribution (DC 18) 0/6; Judgments 3/5; Bane 5/13; Discern lies 0/13
cold iron arrows 0/21; elf-bane arrows 0/3; human bane arrows 0/4
Spells: 0/6 (first-level); 5/6 (second level); 2/5 (third level); 1/3 (4th level); 1/1 (fifth level)
Consumables: Gravity Bow ring 0/3
Effects: Destruction judgment (+5 damage); Justice judgment (+3 to hit; +6 to confirm criticals); heroism (+2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks); greater magic weapon (+1/+2 to bow)

"Allevrah!" Calla calls. "Calistria calls you to account!"

She moves forward, casting a spell as she touches Lefrik.

Swift: Activate destruction and justice judgments (+3 to hit, +6 to confirm crits; +5 damage)
Move to Z-65
Standard: Cast greater lend judgment. Lefrik gets my judgment bonuses for 13 rounds, as long as I don't change them.

So that's +3 to his attack rolls, and +6 to the crit confirmation, plus +5 to each damage

1 person marked this as a favorite.

@Lefrik - well, if you had actually hit with those last 2 attacks...maybe

GM screen:

Kelendra's quickening spell hasted the movemnts of all, and Calla shared her Judgements with Lefrik. The barbarian felt odd as an unusual sense of cruel judgement warped through his mind. The saying 'an eye for an eye' never felt quite so...personal before. He began hacking wildly at the vrock in front of him. The first blow tore deeply into the vrock's chest, but Lefrik was unable to capitalize and rip the thing's heart out.

On the dais, Allevrah's smile grew wider at Calla's words, but she barely hesitated in her chanting to throw up another protective spell.

Taking the +2 bonus to AC from Blessing of fervor

Anklebiter raises a hand in a gesture of command and barks a single word in an arcane language. Even though the word itself may be alien, its meaning is crystal clear: "BEGONE!"

Anklebiter casts Banishment on the teal and red vrocks. (I can get 26 HD's worth of Outsiders with this one. If there's enough left over for yellow, please include it.)
Spell penetration: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 12 + 2 + 2 = 31.
Both vrocks must make a Will save DC 22 or they're forced back into the Abyss.

Next, the little Goblin shouts at the earth elemental:

Terran:
"Flank the demons with the human and the dwarf! It is your summoner's will!"

AB, might be worth seeing if you can recognize the spell too

Spellcraft to ID Allevrah's spell (DC 15+spell level): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29

Though with that roll, I think I've got it handled.
