Just FYI, Bigrin, our hp calculations are fairly different right now. I *think* mine are right. Even our maximums are different.


I pulled them from everyone's status bars and the counts from the end of the last combat. If those aren't correct, let me know the true values, please.

Okay folks, we are going into the meat of the silly season now, and I am going to have real difficulty posting regularly on a daily basis. What I propose is that everyone post when and how you can. If we come to a blocking point, we'll all grab a mug of libations and wait for it to resolve, or if someone knows they won't be able to post for their turn and they want to be botted, they can let their teammates know that.

Overall, I don't want game time getting in the way of RL celebrations...but I don't want anyone who really wants to play to be left hanging.

So, treasure - I'd like to request the amulet of natural armor +2, as I don't have anything in my neck slot and I'd like to increase my AC. Also, I only have a belt of mighty constitution +2,, so the one we found would be an upgrade. I'm less married to that one, though, so if someone has a stronger urge for it, I'm fine with that.


Yeah it was!

I think it was a CR 17-ish encounter, pulling the entire place like that. There was more than once I thought someone was gonna die.

I'm curious; are you downgrading the threats? If we're in Book 6 (which we seem to be), that's typically for 14th-16th level. We're 11th level, though.

Nope. If anything I am upgrading them (typically giving the weaker mobs the Advanced template). Second Darkness seems to be a little low on the CR levels, and the five of you are a near-perfect blend of capabilities.

And yes, you guys are about 2/3 through book 6.

It's always tricky to decide how much to cast how soon at higher levels... and that ghoul scuttled me good and proper with just one spell!

Honestly, part of the reason you are underleveled is that you are flying everywhere and avoiding a LOT of the conflict of this place. I think it's amazing how different parties do different things to throw a wrench in the AP writers' (and GM's) plans!

Of course, when I say underleveled, I simply mean the number. You guys are kicking butt and taking names. You're even clearing 2-3 glyphs in a day, and that's not even close to how it's presented in the book.

Yeah, I knew if I was going to have a chance to drag this out at all, I needed to get the mage out of the fight. Now if I only I could have had something to handle Calla's arrows we might have had a TPK in the last book :)

And yes, looking at it, nearing the end of the campaign is bittersweet. Sweet because of the accomplishment (I have never finished an AP before, RL or PBP). Bitter because you guys have been a great, consistent, fun group of people to play with.

But, no time to get maudlin now. With only one more Glyph to deactivate and then on to stop Allevrah, we've got a book to finish!

Not sure why I'm saying this, but I was sort of expecting the spellcasters to have protection from arrows up. If Allevrah's aware of us (and I can't remember if she is or not), she probably should make sure she's invested in that, I hate to say. Wind Wall might also make sense, or throw in some monks/brawlers with Deflect Arrows.

Or just throw a demon at me; I barely survived that fight.

Given another round of buffing, the ghoul would have cast that. But, since she was a visitor and not a member of Allevrah's circle, and since you guys have moved through the area so quickly, she wasnt prepared.

Don't expect Allevrah and her cronies to not be prepared.

Fortunately, Kel hasn't leveled up yet. And!:

Upon reaching 4th level, and at every even-numbered oracle level after that (6th, 8th, and so on), an oracle can choose to learn a new spell in place of one she already knows.

Agreed. I think owl's wisdom is probably the best Will booster, though I don't know that it has to be mass. Freedom of movement makes some sense too.
