OK, I do not want to block line of fire from the others. I will keep my rapier in hand instead and try to go around the sacro the frogs are behind, going to the right. My first attack, if I ever get there, will be the miss I just had. So, if I can double move, I'll do that.

Don Saint -GM |

Nivel Klist |

I assume my double move would have gotten me to D1, correct? If so, my attack misses badly when this turn comes around.

COMBAT ROUND 4 - see map
After Brimlii and Merkava shoot their crossbows and one frog takes another heavy hit to the body, Griswald, Nivel and Firyin clash with the angry frogs, defending their territory, but nobody is able to land a hit. Merkava prepares to move around to the back and Brimlii steps a bit closer. (frog1 is hit for 7dmg and is barely standing)
Note2: Because both frogs were moving closer, I didn't let Nivel run around, also because he would provoke an AOO from both frogs. I let Merkava move forward so that next turn he could move to D1 and attack frog2 the same round.

COMBAT ROUND 5 - see map
Griswald hits the frog in front of him with a heavy blow and the animal falls unconsious, bleeding to death. Nivel is attacked again by the other frog, who bites him in the left arm, but he strikes back with his rapier and Merkava comes in from behind to deal the finishing blow. (both frogs are unconscious and dying, Nivel loses 4hp)
Brimlii decides to heal the group. (Everybody regains 1hp and 1 nonlethal damage).
Battle is over!! Each player receives 240xp.
After this fight, another hour has passed. It is now 6pm.

The door on the left is similar to the door you destroyed to enter this room. It is swollen from water and difficult to open. Breaking it down again seems the best way to get past it.

Don Saint -GM |

It doesn't take long to destroy the door and before you opens a long flooded corridor (see map). The water level is about 1 foot. (normal terrain for movement)

Nivel Klist |

Does the corpse have anything of value on it? I do not want to be infected by anything so if I can't search it without that risk, I won't.
I will then enter the hallway looking for nasties.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

Don Saint -GM |

Investigating the corpse, you notice a ring made of gold and set with a single aquamarine on the man’s right hand. Tied to his belt is a pouch that contains 24 gp in coins, identical to those found on the corpse beside the Gray Lake.
The body has been rotting for some time and portions from the abdomen, chest and legs have disappeared.
Merkava kills the frogs.
Griswald smells fresh air mixed with the scent of mold coming from the north.

Nivel Klist |

Can we have Brim cast detect magic on these items we just found? Anything found in the hallway?

Don Saint -GM |

By using detect magic, Brimlii senses a faint magical aura on the ring. So far all you see in the hallway to the north is water and stone walls.

Nivel Klist |

Without knowing whst the ring does Nivel will pocket that and the gold fot now. I will follow Gris down the hall.

Don Saint -GM |

As you make your way through the corridor, you come upon a large flooded chamber (see map). The water is 1 foot deep.
Against the north wall, there's a small dry area where a large wheel is set into the floor, attached to chains that rise up into the ceiling.
A thick layer of slick, black mold covers the carvings on the walls of this chamber.
Water is trickling from a hole in the middle of the ceiling, which also looks like the source of the fresh air.

Nivel Klist |

What do you guys make of this? I'm not sure this helps us any, looks like a dead end. We may need to go back and visit the actual tomb itself.

Merkava |

"Wasn't there something about turning the wheel to open the gate? I think we need to turn that thing to get the porticullis in the other room to open. That horrible fog room. Also, weren't those sarcophagi back there? Should we, uh, check them? Brim, is there some sort of prayer you can say so we don't tick any spirits off?"

Nivel Klist |

Perhaps so Merk. I guess we'll need to go down there and see what happens.
Nivel will start to head down the the wheel. One of you guys ought to be able to get this thing moving. Nivel will give it the once-over first.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

Don Saint -GM |

Just in time, Nivel notices a large pit in the center of the room (see map), with a narrow stone bridge that crosses it in the middle.
The water is not clear, because of dirt and moss on the surface and you have no idea how deep the pit could be.

Merkava |

"I'll take the wheel. Do you guys want to go to the other area and position yourselves? Then I can start. Or just start now?"
Like NIvel, I am leaving home for a week, but I will not have access to the game. Play me as best you can.. Try not to kill me..

Nivel Klist |

Hmm, perhaps we should go over there and face that creature as he is released as opposed to having to find him afterwards.

Don Saint -GM |

Nivel Klist |

I can stay with Merk just to be safe. Gris and the others could go, though I'd like to see what Fir has to say.

Don Saint -GM |

As Merkava and Firyin move towards the wheel, Nivel, Griswald and Brimlii start making their way back to the gate. (see map)
While Merkava studies the wheel, Firyin watches his back.
You have time to silently warn Merkava. You could also shout immediately to call the others back for help.
Firyin perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Don Saint -GM |

Merkava turns around and gets his axe and shield ready.
At that moment, a man sized, worm like creature emerges from the pit.
Firyin knowledge nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Brimlii, Griswald, Nivel are only able to run back to assist if Firyin or Merkava would start to loudly shout for help.

Nivel Klist |

I am assuming no call for aid was made so we are continuing to make our way to the gate.
