About Nivel Klist

Born to a elven father and human mother, Nivel Klist is a lonely, secretive young man that keeps to himself and out of sight whenever possible. While isolated like many half-elves are, Nivel did not acquire all the charm and graceful good looks that most gain from their elven parent. Having made few friends during his childhood he is loyal to those he feels are close to him, otherwise he has always been seen as a quiet, shy person.

However Nivel does have a taste for excitement, even if it isn't of the physical type. Finding himself to be smarter and quicker than many others in the town of Kassen, Nivel quickly developed his dexterity and other skills of stealth and deception. Pickpocketing, sleight-of-hand, and other tricks that a rogue may acquire soon became Nivel's avenue for the thrills he sought. Soon he became quite adept at petty thievery and minor games of cat and mouse with those that tried to discover his secret life of minor crime.

One night, Nivel was caught red-handed trying one of his games on an elven newcomer. Little did he know that this elf was his father, Narvil Klist. The elder Klist had left he and his mother more than a decade ago. Nivel's had always told him that he left on a selfish quest and ended up dead, never wanting to give the youngster any lingering hope of seeing his father again. However, the elder Klist had returned recently and soon learned of his son's newfound talents. At that point he decided that Nivel should learn of more about his father's chosen path... the life of a rogue sniper.

After a long talk left him convinced this was the smart thing to do, Nivel learned about his new trade under his estranged father, a man that had left him as a young child under circumstances still unknown to him. Perhaps Narvel felt he needed to return to his son and teach him the ways of his trade, whether for his own reasons or to give his son a means to make his own way in the world is still not known.

How Nivel will use these new skills remains to be seen, however at least he now has either a father or a teacher in his life... perhaps both.

Father is an adventurer, also a sniper. Left him as a young boy but returned to Kassen later to start training him. Unknown as to exactly why he left but seems that it was not something he chose to do.
