Elven Immunities: Half-elves are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.
Drow-Blooded: Some half-elves born of drow parents exhibit more drow traits than others—particularly many of the physical features of the drow—and have darkvision 60 feet and light blindness. This racial trait replaces the low-light vision racial trait.
Drow Magic: A few half-elves with drow ancestry exhibit the innate magic of that race. Half-elves with this trait have drow blood somewhere in their background, and can cast dancing lights, darkness, and faerie fire each once per day, using the half-elf's character level as the caster level for these spell-like abilities. This racial trait replaces the adaptability and multitalented racial traits.
Shifter’s Blessing (Su)
At 3rd level, the shapeshifter can take on the aspects of a wild creature once per day as a swift action. He can remain in this form for a number of rounds equal to his Ranger level + his Wisdom modifier. While in one of his shifter’s blessing forms, the Ranger gains the shapeshifter subtype. The shapeshifter must choose one of the following forms. Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed.
Form of the Bear: The Ranger’s muscles enlarge and tighten, and his facial features become more ursine. While in this form, the Ranger gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength, but his base speed becomes 20 feet.
Raised in the wilderness by his elven father and human mother, Firyin knew little of civilization. He was trained to survive, as his parents knew he would never be treated the same. His mother always looked at him with some hidden sadness, and Firyin never knew why. He became a good tracker, hunter, archer; he wasn't sure what the problem was. Well one day he found out...
As he was out hunting, he spotted a dark skinned elf wandering in the forest. The elf spotted him and made his way over, then froze as he saw Firyin. He demanded to see Firyin's mother, and frightened Firyin fled. The elf followed him and saw his parents, then snapped into a murderous rage. It was during the fight he heard the dark skinned elf claim Firyin as his own child. The two male elves ended the fight in a stalemate, wounds too great to continue but not enough to end their lives. Then they both looked at Firyin, his adopted father with sadness and his real one with anger and glee. Too confused to understand what the repercussions were of being a half-drow elf, Firyin fled and never looked back.
He first ran into a small village, and too cold and hungry begged for a place to stay. The villagers were kind (and couldn't tell he had drow blood) so took him in. From that day he always half lived in the village, often on the outskirts but treating the village as his home. He works to repay the kindness they showed him when he was a child by protecting them from wild animals and bandits
Firyin has the body of an athlete, strong and lean, and doesn't quite look like other half elves. His skin is almost grey and he has violet eyes. Most people see him as simply an oddity, but those with a trained eye see a hint of drow blood in him. He has rough and callused hands that show he fights with them
A bit of a gentle giant, Firyin has a kind smile where he closes his eyes and beams, making you want to smile too. He doesn't talk much unless he really has something to say, and those that he is friends with he is overprotective of.
