Excellent! Let me check.

Any thoughts so far Corsario? :D

I am currently crushing spell lists and prices... Phew! Hard work!

Working on it...

GM Corsario, if I want to add spells to my spellbook, what method should we use? I pay for the cost of each individual scroll?

10 potions/scrolls maximum -> Does this mean 10 of each, or 10 in total? :D
Do Pearls of Power count for the maximum amount of Magic items?

Spellbooks: You start with the normal number of spells, but you gain double the "new level" spells (4 for a wizard).

So in total 28 spells, plus the level 1 ones, right?
More of lower level, less of upper levels. When we check in detail we see if we need to revise the number. No paying for them.
Maximum 10 potions + scrolls, so 9 and 1,or 5 and 5,or less. Don't buy scrolls to "gain" spells in the spellbook, these are scrolls from spells you already know (I would think you made the scrolls) .
Yes, pearls of power count for the magic items limit.

Just to confirm. This means if I started with a 19 Int (+4), I would have:

7+4 Level 1
4+4 Level 2
4+4 Level 3
4 Level 4

And, we are not allowed to "buy" additional scrolls to scribe into our spellbooks?

Thanks for the clarification.

Liberty's Edge

You are allowed to buy up to 10 scrolls (at full price) to add to your spellbook (and you won't have any more scrolls or potions)

10 only...? Without any further scrolls..? :/

Liberty's Edge

Only 10... The crisis, you know... :P

That is so painful, I was aiming at waaaay above that, to have a very well rounded spellbook. That, coupled with open slots would make for a pretty versatile wizard.

@Edeldhur True but we're all similarly limited, you could take the combo of Magical Lineage Trait and Intensified spell metamagic to make a decent damage combo. Like Shocking Grasp or Burning Hands with +5 more damage dice (caps at 10th level instead of 5th) is a nice choice. But intensify spell gives only a +1 spell level so you could apply it to several spells~ :)

Edeldhur is not built as a blaster in essence - I am hoping he can perform that role if necessary, but I am aiming more at versatility than anything else, combining damage, buffing, debuffing and field control.

Don't really want to put all my eggs in the same basket ;)

Likewise, invocation is actually one of my opposition schools.

oh gotcha~ Just a suggestion as shocking grasp would become a 10d6 no save spell. >:3 Perfect for magus mwahahah.

Still the same thought applies to other spells if there are any decent 1-2 level meta magics that can be applied to buffing~

It is back and forth for me. I have never taken a Metamagic feat, and do not really have slots for them now. I prefer to just buy Metamagic rods.

Ni'Tir is done, I will have her followers worked out by tomorrow~

Excellent!

As a question, could people post their classes and what Creation Feats they have. I am trying to finalize my character and am not sure what, if any Creation Feats are needed.

Also, Corsario. Are we one group being split into 4 parts? Or two groups each of which will be split in two.

Out of curiosity, is there a predicted date for the recruitment to finish? I think we have reached the 1 month mark today.

To tell the truth I am not sure yet, from 1 to 6, depending on the final players roster.

In the other recruitment thread I set the final date as September 29th. So I think I have to wait until then to close the door. But, to actual purposes I doubt I'll get more proposals. Now I am just waiting for everyone to make the final adjustments, checking characters (I know, I am running late with that) and preparing the mythic start of the campaign (wink-wink).

Ni'Tir and Xi'Tir have no crafting feats and I know the Cavalier's aren't crafty types either lol!

Okay Followers are updated, all five of them lol! Unlike Danath she doesn't have an army!

An army needs healers, and your big Stego wouldn't be a bad addition for taking down an enemy fort. Stick with us, we will do the fighting for you. :P

Ha! Just wait until Chimalma gets +6 BAB and gets two tail attacks a round, couple that with strong jaw and he will do 8d6+7 per hit! :D Nearly out-damage you cavalier folk. :P PLus his trip attack, talking about giving out a whooping! If I get improved trip it'll be even more fun!

I wanted to get Chimalma something along the lines of Horseshoes of speed but there wasn't anything available so I took the leaf armor instead. It would be nice if he had 60ft speed but 30 AC is decent for 7th lvl too lol!

Here is Kiritta. Still need to recheck her, but I think that most of it is in order. Probably need to look into her equipment more.

Kiritta Narvagoth

I have Craft(wand). I would love to grab another metamagic feat, but will keep the crafting feat. I have no problem switching to Craft Wondrous Items if that is needed.

Liberty's Edge

Checking... Just taking my time....

Jay is finished. Now I just have to fine tune Neji. For followers, I mostly have a lot of adepts. I figure that Janus would be a good candidate for the church of Erastil to trust with establishing their presence in the Stolen Lands.

Question on traits.

Is it 2 traits, on of which must be a campaign trait? Or 2 traits PLUS a campaign trait?

Looking at other characters, I see both.

So after readjusting Venetia and Tarina's gold prices, Venetia has 10,325 gp and Tarina has 6,782. I feel the need to buy more things now, like a horse drawn carriage (the followers can maintain the horses and drive the carriage, I think experts would work fine for that.) Then we'd probably need some handmaidens (either adepts of arshea or experts again) to serve the ladies.

Venetia's leadership is 13, so that's 10 first level and 1 second level followers, let's try something like this.

2 drivers (experts)
2 stable-boys (commoners)
4 handmaidens (adepts of Arshea)
2 bodyguards (warriors)

and

1 nanny (aristocrat 2)

so that's all the followers, and at least one of each NPC class in my case. (commoners may not be the best choice for stable-hands, but thematically it fits more then making them experts - you don't hire experts to watch your horses.)

The more important followers in this case would be the handmaidens and the nanny, so I will try to flesh them out a little more and probably name them.

If I get a carriage for both Venetia and Tarina, that would be 500 gp off each of them, counting the horses needed to draw them, each carriage could transport 4 people plus 2 drivers, so the carriages might look something like this:

1 driver
1 bodyguard (doubling as driver)
2 handmaidens
1 Venetia

1 driver
1 bodyguard (doubling as driver)
2 handmaidens
1 nanny
1 Tarina

Again because the stable boys are commoners, they don't ride in the carriages. Also, I'm thinking Tarina's nanny might be somewhat of a noble herself (but not nearly as noble as Venetia) which would fit with her being an aristocrat.

Any chance that Venetia can already have a small piece of land? I'm willing to spend some of her money on it, but the idea is that is where her stipend would come from. I'm thinking an Estate or a small village.

Yes, that can be handy... and there is a temple around that needs some fixing.

If you get a drawback you can get a 3rd trait.

About the stable boy, they can always ride in the back part of the chariot, and double as "page-boys".

About the stipend... it is a parcel of land, at her name, a fief (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiefdom) of her family, so she is, strictly speaking, a vassal of the Dragonscale Throne.
Sounds ok?

Sounds perfect, so am I allocating all the gold from the stipend to the land, reducing Venetia from 10,325 to 8,075 gp? Also, would this land be near the stolen lands where we would be exploring such that it could be visited and become part of our kingdom, or would it be back in Brevoy?

There was a feat from an old Arthurian sword and sorcery book that let start with a self sustaining feifdom. :) that book rocked! Nice noble character btw!

Any glaring issues with my characters Corsario? I would say no News is good news lol! Followers are named and small description for each. This game is gonna be fun. :)

@Ni'Tir No Jews is good news eh?

Yes, please use the same gps as the rest.

The fiefdom would be at the edge of the east selen river, back in Medvyed Lands, in the Gronzi forest.

If there is still time, I think I would like to submit a character. I'm going to work one up and check back in a bit to see if you will accept the submission.

My character is almost finished and I will be posting her within the next few hours. I read that you are looking to take groups rather than individuals and so I would like to toss my character out there to see if there is a group interested in them.

Nyssa is a half-elf dhampir from Iobaria, the nation to the immediate east of Restov. She is a neutral cleric and is accompanied by her family, one uncle and fifteen others.

Rather than worshiping a deity, she is dedicated to the frozen winter night, filled with howling spirits and hidden danger. Her domains are Darkness (Loss) and Death (Undead). I hope to play her as a necromancer type and so need a party who can deal with that.

I will have her packet up in a few hours and it is very detailed. It will give you a strong sense of her personality and appearance as well as the history of her family. I think she will make a good party member as she is very group oriented while still being flexible. She is seeking a long term home for her family and so is not the type of character to simply run around doing whatever.

I hope that she will fit in with a party. Please let me know if you have questions.

Ok, not team necessary, we will sort them out in time, if accepted.

Speaking of which, no Dhampirs. You will need to change it to plain Half-Elf.

MPCampbell: As you see the game will have from 12 to 17 characters. If less than 14, and you can complete the character, the cohort, and the followers in time, then you are in. Is somewhat a long shot, but still a possibility.

Janus Sevenstar
Szymon Wojcik

What do you think... Do you like it?

My character can be found here. I had thought your initial post stated that non-core races were allowed on an approval basis but it could have been another I read. Please give the packet a read and if you don't like it we can talk about what to switch them to - elf or maybe something like tiefling. I didn't pick dhampir for the stats, but for the background. You'll see when you read the packet.

I am still working on Uncle Valiryn and should have him finished soon. I'm bouncing back and forth between oracle, fighter and magus for him. I also have one more follower to make, a 2nd level leader.

I've chosen magic items but not finished the item page yet. They are pretty basic and I probably won't flesh them out until a group gets made if that is okay with you.

I've got another hour or so before I have to get studying so I'll try to finish Uncle Valiryn in that time. I'll save changing the races until I hear from you because it will take me an additional hour or two to change the races for all the NPCs.

I went with Nodachis for weapons because they are the closest Pathfinder has to the two handed swords used in my pictures. I picture them as what was used in the Lord of the Rings. If I change everyone to elves then they will be armed with elven curve blades.

I will check back here in an hour or so to see if you've gotten this message.

M Campbell

PS: The file is 10MB. I can cut that down but it'll take me a while as I have to downsample everything in photoshop. I don't know why all of my files have been so large lately, it's very frustrating.

What is there not to like when you are thrown in with an Oracle of Life and an Aldori Swordlord? :D

Team "Restov" looks great already, and has a bright future ahead of it for sure - heading into glory. And beyond...

Mechanical question for Corsario: Was there some sort of balancing in terms of item creation feats for the respective teams?

Note: I must confess I have completely halted the crunching of my characters - I was hoping the concepts would be the most important part of getting things going, and then afterwards we can finish out whatever crunchiness is needed, after all the character creation guidelines are reviewed and finalized in terms of what costs how much, and if it has anything to do with what item creation feats are on the final group or team. Am I correct?

I'll have to look over the others in this purposed group to check to see how they mesh with Venetia, since I haven't paid much attention to the arcane characters, though I remember at least one of the witches being a good match.

Also, are we going to see discussion threads for each group so that the groups can talk to see if anything about the characters in the groups need to be changed to fit together better? These are characters who have been adventuring for the last 3 years or so together after all.

Nyssa Relanyth wrote:

I finished Uncle Valiryn but still need to purchase his items, work up stats on his wolf, add the 2nd level follower leader and purchase Nyssa's equipment.

I've spent the whole day working on this and need to get studying for the rest of the evening. I will do the last three tasks before the campaign begins.

I made Uncle Valiryn an elf and it works out well from a stat standpoint because he gets the exotic weapon free. I still think we should talk about the race issue however and will wait to hear back from you.

I'm actually in the "not-really-a-witch" group. Although being a diviner/harrower/collegiate arcanist, I should fit right in with the witchy group.

Still working on Halcorg. I have not finished his background, but pretty much know what it is. Not sure that I have any followers since I have a bunch of negatives between having a familiar and only 10 Cha.

Well, there's only 1 witch in the witch group, Venetia on the other hand is a Paladin, and the only lawful one in said group, but at least they are all good aligned, so there will be fewer issues with alignment. Also, Kiritta, your backstory is rather long, but interesting, I may have skipped a few sentences though.

The witch group is actually a rogue, wizard, witch and paladin, and only Kiritta is not of noble birth.
