Raging Song + Opportune Parry and Riposte -
My reading would be that they don't work together, because the Raging Song prohibits actions that require patience. And parrying requires you to be patient and ready to counter an enemy attack. BUT it could be argued that the parry is really just a reaction to an enemy's attack.
So I guess I would tend to say no it doesn't work together, but I could be persuaded otherwise.

I was mixed in my thoughts on this topic as well and I realize it can go either way. I'm a big fan of viewing it favorably to me of course, saying it's just a reaction to an enemy's attack, but I do have a better reasoning behind it than that.
I picture the wildly raging barbarian rushing across a field to kill his opponent. He still uses his shield and gets that bonus, even though he has a minor negative for his reckless actions(hence the negative to AC). My Parry/riposte is sort of like using a shield to deflect an attack.
In addition, with Aelwynd, he is so practiced with his sword that a parry truly is something he does without much, if any, thought. In his rage I also can't see him not going for a riposte whenever possible.
It's of course your call and I am fine either way.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 and add +2 if you are considered aquatic on this adventure. ;)

Well a 28 is enough to raise me to helpful, so we'll go with you CAN use both, as your logic is sound.
Unless someone knows of something more definitive one way or the other.
Cheers!

You've made your ruling, and I'm fine with it. I would however offer what I guess they call a concurring opinion: Swashbucklers are a class that is based off of Charisma. There is nothing patient about them. Brash, loud, taking superfluous risks; those are all things that are in the description of the swashbuckler. Heck, in home games, there is an optional GM rule that if you do incredibly awesome yet dumb s%, you can give your swashbuckler player a panache point.
While the duelist PrC definitely smacks of the patient, smart sword-fighter, the swashbuckler strikes me as just someone who gets incredibly lucky. As such, the expenditure of his class resource, panache, is not based on him/her making smart decisions. Which would imply that opportune parry + riposte doesn't require any patience: it is, after all, a contested die roll between the attacker and the swashbuckler. If it entailed patience, I would imagine that it would be a strict bonus to AC, or something more static.
Thus, it would be possible to combine Raging Song and Opportune Parry. Traditionally you wouldn't see it as (unless there is a g&~~%~n urban skald) you cannot get a raging song that benefits Dex.
