Theme Knowledge use

The Bounty Hunter theme, Theme Knowledge:

Does it allow the bonus on Culture checks to gain information on a creature we're about to fight?

In PF, generally we roll a knowledge check and the GM gives a bit of info. Does Theme Knowledge do something similar or is this aspect of Bounty Hunter meant for more specific functions?

It looks like you would have to spend a minute studying up on a specific individual to use the theme knowledge bonus.

If the creature has a "specific name, identity, or alias".

If the creature you're about to fight was say... A space goblin, the bounty hunter theme knowledge wouldn't apply. But if tge space goblin was "Ambassador Crunch, Space Goblin of Wonder", then it would apply.

If something was like, "The Beast of the Wastes", that's an alias, regardless of what the creature was. If it was just "those wolves out there" that's just a description of wolves and where they are.

So TLDR, it is a recall knowledge check, which is the kind you use for creature info, however it only applies to specifically named things.
