Lacking a swim speed, I don't think she can get into range to use the wand just yet, but it may be an option next turn.

As the party advances, Kela and Rhyfedd each striking down a grindylow, the remaining three suddenly jet backwards further down the tunnel looking nervous.

Bhookaaj explores further, but doesn't find the grindylows. He does find another two branching passages, one of which seems to suddenly drop off into deeper water.
