Capes and Crowns, Fight For the Future of Kelovar!

Game Master Flinnfurious

Corruptions are on the rise and it is your duty as Branded to defeat them.

Flinnfurious, can you say a bit more about the Corrupted campaign? Are you going to run two campaigns, one with only a Branded party, and the second with two parties -- one Corrupted and one Branded? Are you open to players playing in both campaigns?

I'm very excited about Grenadil but if there's room to play in both, I realize I have a cool concept for a Corrupted as well.

EDIT: Oh and Andiemus, I was hoping to see someone submit a dweomercat. Very flavorful. Do you have any fluff written yet?

Here's Zharr, and here's his sheet.

Background should be up tonight or tomorrow.

Zharr will work equally well as a Corrupted or a Branded, although his personality will be different.

  • As a Corrupted, he's an arsonist at heart and is either CE or CN-verging-on-CE. He uses incorporeality for spying, stealing, or ambushing people in "safe" places, or just starting "inexplicable" fires. He's got scholarly tendencies, but they're of the "I want to hoard knowledge" type.
  • As a Branded, he's somewhat more like the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four. Probably CG, likes playing with fire but takes care that no one is hurt. He's also got scholarly tendencies, but he's more willing to share his knowledge and uses incorporeality for exploration of the city's mysteries. Job would be Scholar.

I have a slight preference for the Branded campaign, I think (just because of the more exploratory direction of the character), but I'd be happy to play him in either.

  • Cool was worried I missed the deadline. I will have Archaon done today. I think he is done after I do spells then just need to do background. Work is a little crazy today but I will get him done.

Intended build for dragon side either paladin 10 or paladin 2 monk 3 champion of iori 5 with oracle all the way on the other side
Dragon is done other than spells known
The quickling I am going to give levels of shadow dancer and assisan once arcane trickster is done

Still here, should have the last few details finished today. I'm looking towards branded, though corruption would be possible with a couple of edits.

Reposting my submissions with the breakdowns which seem to be so popular. Also, I forgot one of Sixsmith's combat style feats.

    Ony's Tale:
Lieutenant Ony Zimyatov is a harsh man from a harsh land. In Kelorav he has a reputation as an unflinching defender of the of the people and being remarkably hard to kill. He is a rare figure in the city, an honest cop. Through a mix of casually terrifying the crooked officers, proving too tough or too wily to bump off, and earning the respect of the citizenry, he has become a staple of the city.

Technically speaking, he takes his orders from higher up the chain of command and technically speaking, his jurisdiction has a limit. Of course, other considerations come into play here. Technically speaking, he is doing a job far too many of his colleagues are unwilling to do and technically speaking, he possesses the means to ruin a lot of people if they tried to force him into the status quo. Faced with this reality, a lot of people in the city watch are content to let him fight his battles against the unending tide of corruption and crime.

Fortunately, he is very good at fighting. Exactly how he ended up as deadly as his is has become a matter of much debate in various taverns and watch houses. While he certainly does not act like a cold blooded killer, the way he fights when the kid gloves come off suggests that there was a time when that is exactly what he was. The unfortunate few that truly earn his ire and survive the resulting encounter are quick to point to stumps and scars and demand death before fighting the 'Dog' once more.

When the blue light filled the city, Ony was one of the ones to find himself branded. It was a situation that brought a smile to his face, for he did not consider the strange new threats overwhelmingly dangerous as much as that the odds had finally been evened against him. The city had seen fit to put him through a trial and he saw no reason that he should falter.

    Ony's Mask:
The gods saw it fit to grant him a form more befitting an orc than a man and as such Ony is a towering figure, well over six feet tall with more scars than years of age and muscles like corded steel. Also befitting such a metaphor is his face. While not hideous, Ony has the face of a prize fighter who has spent his career being just a touch slower than the other guy. His black hair, pale features and accent place him as a native of Irrisen. If this is the case and not some ruse, it would do much to explain the viciousness he can display when needed.

Ony carries a hefty blade of midnight black nearly as tall as he. While he blade is chipped in places its age only serves to make it tougher. It retains a frightening edge despite the wear of likely more than one lifetime's hard use. Being too long to effectively sheath at his waist, Ony, makes a habit of slinging the sheath over his shoulder but never strapping it there. Generally, he discards the sheath after drawing his blade.

Ony dresses as well as he can but on duty he wears the same set of remarkably durable clothes. A long brown leather coat with his rank chevrons emblazoned on each shoulder with a scale mantle and pauldrons. The forearms are reinforced and so are a few sections of the chest and back.

    Breakdown:
Melee: ***** Ony will be hurting things pretty viciously in melee. As a Vital Strike/Called Shot specialist, he is not exactly optimized for straight damage but with a full-round action against the average foe, he should be able to hit with +19 against their flat-footed AC and deal 9d6+21 (11d6+42 on a crit), cripple one aspect of his foe with the damage and demoralize them for good measure. With an average DPS of 80 and a negligible penalty for the vast majority of called shots, he will be doing things like hewing off arms and giving greatsword lobotomies to casters.

Ranged: *** As a full BAB character, he should be decent at ranged combat but his dexterity is low and will likely remain low. Also, due to wealth restraints, he has no ranged option at the moment.

Defense: **** Not great but will be getting better when I have access to more funds. His saves are pretty decent and he can shore up his lagging AC with Combat Expertise if he needs to.

Skills: **** The rogue half to his build really paid off for skills. He also has more than a few skill focuses making up for lower mental stats. He should be able to reliably pick locks and provide information on the city while being surprisingly sneaky. He has some social skills but they are not exactly exemplary.

Magic: * Hah, I may put some ranks into UMD when I have a few to spare but until then, nothing really.

Mobility: *** He is not going to be winning any races but he should stay pretty mobile even in his glamered plate armor. Acrobatics and Climb should help him get to surprising places.

    Sixsmith's Story:
Sperow Sixsmith was never a good man. For as long as he can remember Kelorav has been his everything. No father, no mother, just the harsh embrace of this city. Sixsmith adapted and survived, at times crawling upon the fallen backs of his fellows. He knows the city better than many, from years of running, stealing, and hurting to survive. Sixsmith was little better than a feral dog and he knew it.
Ten years ago, though, he met someone and was changed. She was a nun of Shelyn and he, quite romantically, tried to mug her. Incredibly, she gave him her few meager coins and then convinced him to come into her mission for a hot meal. All this in the face of a rusty revolver and a hungry pair of eyes. Before he knew it she had him mopping the floor of her shelter and temple. She paid him for his time and, perhaps for the first time, he had a concern outside his immediate survival.

Perhaps he was in love, it would certainly not be outside the realm of possibility, but he knew her first responsibility was to the church and not to a lovesick, semi-reformed criminal. So he continued on, striving to live up to the example set by Nalia. He cleaned, cooked, and ministered to the masses. It was not until someone came to the mission that Sixsmith learned he could use some of his older talents for something other than misery.

Little did he know that his choice would lead to Nalia sacrificing everything for his sake.

Ten years later, Nalia is dead and the mission burned to the ground. Sixsmith is now a very different man. Sperow Sixsmith, of Sixsmith Investigations. A man who knows the streets of Kelorav better than the back of his hand and always gets the job done. He knows he is not a good man but he also knows that sometimes a good man is not what is needed.

    The Sight of Sixsmith:
Sixsmith does not immediately strike one as a remarkably intimidating individual. Remarkably unremarkable would be a good way to describe him. Neither truly handsome or really that ugly, with an average height and build. Habitually dressed in a short jacket and beat-up leather flat cap, he looks like a day laborer. It's only after he starts asking questions that people figure out that Sixsmith is not a man but closer to some strange force of the city that has decided to lay bare what has been hidden.

    Breakdown:
Melee: ** Sixsmith can fake it with his feats but he would not be much good with a sword.

Ranged: **** His damage output could be better he will be vicious at short range and he threatens with his revolver within 15ft of himself and hitting to touch AC always helps. Next level he will take Signature Deed (Up Close and Deadly) and be able to tack on +3d6 damage constantly.

Defense: **** Good saves and good AC across the board. CMD has suffered a bit though.

Skills: **** Another skill monkey. Only 6+int per level but much more adept at the skills he does have, especially with Kerolav being his favored community. He can also pick locks and spot traps with the best of them.

Magic: ** A few spells and the ability to use a few wands without UMD. They're mostly going to be self-buffs if anything.

Mobility: *** Again not going to be winning any races but Acrobatics and a good dex should help him out a lot.

    Shadow Lodge

    The Fluff
Uses 10minute background as a guide

Artos ("The Silver Ghost") is a Branded criminal (Robin Hood type).

    Quote:
Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!

Robin Hood Artos Robs from Oppressors to give to the poor. Unlike Robin Hood, he tries not to make it well known as Those with power usually are able to do something about it, if they know where to strike. Over the years, rumours of his activities have surfaced, and the rumourmongers have dubbed him "The Ghost". When the need came for him to step up to the mark, he took the name "Silver Ghost" in part recognition of this, though he thought it imprudent to take exactly the same name. That and the fact that "Ghost" was taken, lol

Secret Benefactor Artos gives a significant portion to Churches and Charities, especially those whose aim is to help the oppressed. He has a network of loyal agents across the city who have been recruited from the victims of the powerful, who have been helped by Artos personally. Despite taking care to remain anonymous, rumour has somehow managed to get out.
Flamboyance Artos has a penchant for taunting opponents in combat, and for acting with style and panache. He enjoys the challenge, but is keenly aware of his limits and will happily retreat when he is overpowered. He always wears rich clothing when "on the job", though never anything too overexpensive. He has a noble background.
Secret Cave During renovations on the west Wing of the House, Artos came across a secret entrance to a cave below the house, with a secret exit into the bowels of the city. Artos stores his gear here and uses it to pass into the city as the "Ghost", and now the "Silver Ghost". Unknown to him, it was once used by an ancestor for Infernal practices and anyone with the ability to detect Evil will be able to detect the faded presence.

    Quote:
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.

(1)Artos wants to complete his vow of revenge against those responsible for driving his father to suicide. Of those initially reponsible, all have paid except the mastermind, Alexander Vetch (a scion of the famous Vetch crime family). He sees now that his life has been put on hold until this vow is fulfilled, and wishes to get on with life.

    (2) Artos harbors a secret desire for a just society in which there is no oppression; however he has come to believe in individuals more than institutions, and would like to set up an organisation of like minded individuals dedicated to overthrowing oppression by any means. In reality this would probably mean establishing a Noble House.

    (3) Although Artos has not even considered it, marriage is going to be an important part of establishing a Noble House. He just needs to meet the right girl.

    Quote:
Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!

(1)During his research on Alexander Vetch and the Vetch family, Artos has discovered that their bloodline contains Fiendish elements, and over the years a few Tiflings have been born to the family (though this has been hushed up).

    (2) Unknown to Artos, he is in fact a bastard grandson of a deceased Vetch leader who represented a moderate faction that was poised to steer the Vetch family away from the more evil pursuits and onto a more benign path. If this became common knowledge, he could become a figurehead for those Vetches who are more moderate in inclination. Alexander Vetch stumbled upon this information after the Vetch leader was assassinated 10 years ago; However the Vetch family declared a moratorium on assassinations as it was drawing too much attention to the family and making them look weak; so Alexander opted to bankrupt the then heir (Artos' father) who then committed suicide (much to his delight). Alexandr was not aware that there was an heir.

    Quote:
Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.

(1)Feckles Feckles is Artos' loyal halfling manservant. Since his father died when he was 13, and most of the estate was sold of to pay debts, and the rest of the staff all left, Feckles has been the nearest thing to a friend and a father that Artos has had. noone knows if "Feckles" is a diminuitive of "Feckless", or a derivative of the "Freckles" that are evident across his cheeks, except Feckles himself (who isn't saying). Unfailingly cheerful and polite, Feckles runs what is left of the House, cooking, cleaning (at least the wing where the two of them live), Sewing, Shopping and ensuring that Artos is always well presented "like a proper Gennelman." Feckles is well aware of Artos double life. He picks up all sorts of rumours and snippets from his errands about the city, which he filters back to his master. It is a habit that Artos himself has picked up, despite his general unsociable nature, and Artos often frequents bars where he can sit incognito and listen to the rumours flying around the city, sifting them for truth and filing them away for cross-referencing and verifaction.

    (2) Henry Beaufont Henry is the family lawyer. After his father's death. it was Henry that realised that their misfortune was not an accident. After revealing this to Artos. he listened as the boy (then aged 13) vowed revenge. Henry, a former agent, decided to fan that flame and trained Artos in infiltration techniques. He also arranged for Artos to be trained in weaponplay, though he proved too weak to be a great warrior. However his general deftness meant that he has become adept with a two weapon fighting style, using a rapier and dagger on formal occasions but preferring his magical kukri "on the Job". Henry is the nearest thing to a mentor that Artos has. He runs a spy network dedicated to information broking, though he has increasingly moved into acting as a support network for Artos.

    (3) Alexander Vetch Alexander is an up-and-coming scion of the Vetch family. Over the years, he has become aware that several of his associates have been bankrupted by a mysterious Thief known simply as "The Ghost" for his ability to seemingly walk through walls. Little is known about this person, and most of it is just rumour, but Alexander has become convinced that there is a real person behind the rumours and has vowed to hunt him down.

    Quote:
Step 5: Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.

    (1) Every year, on 13 Desnus,(The anniversary of his Father's death) Artos makes an offering at the family's mausoleum, discussing the state of affairs of the family and the vow of revenge. All other considerations except the direst of emergencies are ignored.

    (2) Artos uses a phrase when he escapes from somebody. He gives them a nod and says "Next year in Absalom!" It means nothing, but he has been known to use it occasionally in social settings (and an astute observer might be able to figure out his true identity from it).

    (3) Artos has a particular hatred of those that use their power to ruin others without good reason, especially if they can't be touched by the Law. He feels that such individuals should be ruined themselves, while he goes out of his way to support those who are victims of this behaviour.

Paulicus' Graveknight Barbarian/Inquisitor of Rovagug for the Corrupted

I figured it we're going for 'terrorize the citizens,' why not go all the way and worship the big one? :p

Crunch is mostly done (this guy's been surprisingly complicated to build, it's been fun though). I'll get some rough flavor soon.

Though, I've done a bit of reading and I should ask how you'd run barbarian rage interacting with undead traits? The issues are the use of con/cha for rage rounds and bonuses, and if intelligent undead and get morale bonuses from rage.

    THE SHEET

    Branded obviously.

    Backstory:

Bahram Al'Casmaron is a man of great wealth and luxury whom few would suspect of ever going out and getting his hands dirtier then it would take for him to partake of his favorite deserts. His reputation as an honest owner of various shops throughout Absalom is bolstered by his fine patronage of the arts and for supporting houses dedicated to helping the sick and the needy. A true devotee of Srenrae he believes that his wealth is merely a means to do good and while he is certainly not above enjoying luxury and the company of beautiful women this facade of decadence hides the heart of a true champion for good.
When the blue light overtook him it was in the midst of sacrifice as hea tempted to shield innocents on the street with his own body an act none would have thought him capable of after first meeting him.

Though he appeared unaffected by the light itself it wasn't long before he became aware of the abilities he possessed. Ghostly voices whispering guidance in his mind, ethereal blades flying forth from his hand and the innate ability to see the blackness in mens hearts.

He had never intended to make use of these abilities until one faithful day while in tense negotiations at the docks over a shipment of fine silks he was importing he saw a ship being overtaken by a single warrior breathing fire and slaying men left and right with an unbelievably huge axe.

Unwilling to simply let this man go and not willing to reveal his powers lest it hurt his family and business interest Bahram donned a red scarf and large red hat and cloak and boarded the ship as it was set aflame and challenged the axe wielding villain.

Unwilling to yield Bahram nearly defeated the armed and magically infused warrior with little more than his bare hands before he escaped into the bay.

Ever since The Crimson Blade (now with a more proper outfit including a pair of smoked goggles to hide Bahram's eyes) has become synonymous wiht justice. An anonymous champion who challenges foes both mundane and magical wherever they might cause suffering and pain to others.

I could get way into more detail with this guy but you didn't want too much.

OVerall I'm quite happy how he turned out. He has natural attacks but with the ridiculous damage he does by punchstabbing people with the option of potentially getting three more attacks it hardly seems necessary. And he's got the skill set to pull off his character. Overall I'm very pleased. I don't have a proper picture "in costume" so have a kamen rider picture instead.

    Stephan Rogerson, for the Branded.

Was wondering if someone was going to go the full cheese of a synthesist. I was tempted myself, but been there done that before in a 10th level gestalt game so I wanted to try something new. Gotta love the raw power though.

    SooOOoOOOoO

I fleshed out my 3 character's stories a bit, and added some of the elements you mentioned (goals, related characters, secrets, quirks, etc.) Talla's the only one with a bit left to do on that front but it's pretty late for now *yawwwwwwwwwwwn*

I may as well do a rating breakdown, although I'm not sure what scale we're using.

Melee ** Zharr's not bad at melee, but he's got no reason to ever enter it. His only attack is Witchfire (as a standard action), which has the same attack roll as an incorporeal (melee) touch or a ranged touch. Only if he's fully present would it be different, and then it would be significantly worse. However, anything swinging at him in melee gets lit on fire.

Range ***** Only a single attack, but it's a doozy. Ranged touches are usually going to hit, and it does 8d6 fire damage, with several kickers attached, including granting fire vulnerability. An archer can probably outdamage him on a full attack (and can certainly out-range him), but 8d6+50% as a standard action is pretty awesome.

Defense ***** High AC (31) and saves, with incorporeality (50% damage reduction or 50% failure chance against most things) on top of it, mean he's very survivable. Then he has all the undead immunities, so there's many things that just won't work on him at all.

Skills **** Skills are pretty high (160 points total), but heavily concentrated in knowing things. Most knowledge skills, 15 languages, and social skills on top of it. Not so much with the physical skills, but very few of them apply to incorporeal creatures.

Healing **** While healing is not his primary focus, he does have all the standard cure spells (many uses per day), as well as several Infernal Healings he can cast. He doesn't have much that can heal himself, though, since he's undead.

Spells **** Lots of spells per day, and a decent number of them. Aside from the cure spells mentioned above, there's direct damage spells, buffs, debuffs, and exploration-type utilities. Plus several at-will SLAs, including invisiblity. DCs are rather high, too.

Mobility **** 50' perfect fly speed, and the ability to phase through almost any obstacle.

Edit: I had a whole description worked up, but the forums ate it when I hit save on my profile. I should have seen it coming, given how many other things it's eaten... But I'm too tired to redo it now. Tomorrow

    Shadow Lodge

Computer suddenly decided it didn't want to do internets,
I'm now working on my second character on my phone and he's going to be super stealthy
Hellcat stealth, hide in plain sight from sorcerer, invisablity, conceal scent, favored terrain, fast stealth (and really fast at that he is a QUICKling)
but it looks like I won't be able to finish the 3rd in time which is a shame, Druid/storm kindler/monk of the four winds
    Very nice storm esque character

Hey Flinnfurious, would you allow taking a few class levels *before* the monster levels? Or do the monster levels have to come first on that side of the gestalt?

@Jelani, At first I just wanted to play the Warpriest, had a Blade concept for Warpriest Vamp, or Gravekight but it just wasn't looking great. And yeah you gotta love the Synth and its raw power and versatility. I was also originaly going biped and was thinking of making a two weapon Kukri build but again the power of pounce and natural attacks swayed me.

    Hey DM
Would you allow me to add rouge archetypes to ninja?

The ninja is an 'alternate' class to the rogue (basically a big archetype), so you should be able to. The problem is a lot of rogue archetypes replace trapfinding or something else the ninja doesn't have.

Really sorry about the dead air these past few days. Just had a massive snow storm and anyone who works for the city has been pulling double shifts and sleeping in their cars. Seeing as how I was late answering questions, I'll give people an extra day for the characters. That said, the game will definitely start this friday, immediately after characters are picked.

    wilros: gold dragon oracle: branded

sam starfield: quickling rouge sorcerer: corruption (not quite done)
if I have time I'll put forth a giant eagle animal lord or lycanthrope druid

question: can we apply a rouge archetype to a ninja so long as it has the class features to replace?

    Yes you may.

I am going to run two campaigns, one Branded one Corruption, that will on rare occasions meet. Pvp will happen, but it won't be common. Players may submit characters for both campaigns, but only play in one.

As for more information about the Corruption campaign itself, my little avatar in that campaign will provide a series of capers for the team to choose from. Of course, that won't last long. Other Corruption gangs will attack, as will Branded and a few non-powered do-gooders. Ultimately, it will be up to the team itself to decide goals and actions. You should never feel pressure to do what my character says beyond what would be expected in the game. He'll be a voice of reason and give information on various goings on, but definitely won't lead the team.

Nothing changes for the undead. It still raises con, but since undead feel no fatigue it all balances out. You're basically trading effectiveness for reliability. They still get the morale bonus.

Hmmm, I'm going to have to ask why. I can't see any reason it would be an issue, but I'm also pretty tired and would rather not have to tell you no after saying yes in haste.

    Lord Foul II wrote:

Yes, so long as it has the necessary class features to replace.

Archaon can be considerd for either campaign, His main purpose is Battle and the chaos that exist in the fight. He will spread the word of Gorum. He doesn't care which side he goes to war with. Branded would be prefered. Thanks.

Sounds fair. I'll add in some rage stats when I can than.

I got caught in that snowstorm too. My flights were delayed for days but I'm finally on my way :P

Flinnfurious, sounds like an exhausting few days! Thanks for letting us know.

I was considering submitting a Mystique-like phasm arcane trickster for the Corrupted campaign when I asked that question. I've always loved shapeshifters and phasm's constant Shapeshift ability (even if nerfed slightly to no bigger than Large and no ability increases) seems like an *awesome* fun, flavorful, flexible way to build it. She wouldn't be the most powerful character, but she'd be super flexible with a ton of creative potential.

At this point, I'm probably not going to submit a second character. I'm too attached to Grenadil. (I'd love to see someone create a Corrupted build like this though).

Anyway, when you take your monster levels makes a big difference in qualifying for prestige classes. Consider this Phasm Arcane Trickster build. You can get 7 levels of arcane trickster (and never have a level without advancing Wizard spells) like so:
    wizard | rogue
    wizard | rogue
    wizard | rogue
    monster | arcane trickster
    monster | arcane trickster
    monster | arcane trickster
    monster | arcane trickster
    monster | arcane trickster
    monster | arcane trickster
    monster | arcane trickster

If the monster levels come first, there's no way to still cast as a 10th level Wizard.

I have a corrupted build like it, but I went quickling sorcerer instead

    Shadow Lodge

    I am lovin this

My quickling has a stealth of 37 (+4 in urban +8 in forests) can not be tracked in an urban environment, can move his very high full speed while stealthing
Can hide in plane sight in dark or light,
Can cast invisibility, (another +20 to stealth)
Can hide from blind sense/sight, and scent
Has a 6d6 sneek attack and is a full spell caster to boot

It is certainly a campaign that will require additional diligence in posting and rule checking by the players to keep things moving with all of the various options available to us.

do we add the equipment on the bestiality page to ours?
if not, sam starfield is ready

    Lol..the bestiality page? (~_~)*

I didn't know this was that kind of game o_O

    Shadow Lodge

    ...
    stupid phone autocorrect
    bestiary page
    -_-

so when are picks going to be made?

Sounds like today (barring further snow/police emergencies). Best of luck to all! I'm hoping to play with (and against!) many of you soon.

You have 20k to spend, if you want to spend it on the equipment that a typical monster of your type has, go ahead.

Remember, you are not actually that type of monster, you just have the characteristics of one.

    Shadow Lodge

I meant do we get that equipment as bonus loot

Hmm, I guess something came up in the life of our GM. I'm sure we'll hear from him when he has some free time.

    Lord Foul II wrote:

My impression is that unless it's tied to a racial ability (like a balor's whip and sword), you don't get it.

A quickling has a small shortsword. Their treasure includes 4 doses of blue whinnis poison. Are you wanting this as a bonus? $490 gold

A young gold dragon has no equipment.

Or were you hoping to draw up random treasure and add that as the bonus?

    Shadow Lodge

mostly I was curious and killing time
but one quickling in the beastiary comes with that and a type one bag of holding, that would be useful for a thief

Hey Flinnfurious, it's been 4 days since when you said we'd start. I know life is unpredictable...and your work as a cop is especially so...but can you let us know if you're just delayed, or if things have changed and you're not going to be able to run this? Thanks, and I hope all is well.

yep looking as if this is dead

    Shadow Lodge

    if so that really sucks,
I'll keep watching this for a while, I really like the character designs I have (personal bias aside)

Well, it was fun building the characters at least. Hopefully Flinn is just busy with something.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm getting tired of having to say this, but terribly sorry for being gone for so long. Normally I'd leave some sort of message if was going to be silent for a week, but SOP dictates no outside contact when staying with a witness.
You know how in some movies the witness agrees to testify and the police say they'll send a car around? In real life, if the witness says he won't testify without assured protection, that means the one of the precincts junior members gets stuck babysitting them until the trial and sometimes after.
Sight, sorry about real life venting, but I at least wanted you to know you weren't kept waiting for nothing.
Annoying police procedure aside, it's time to choose characters. Drum roll please.
    The Branded
    Gyrfalcon aka Grenadil
    Paulicus aka Talla Zalimar
    Ptolmaeus Arvenus aka Sperow Sixsmith
    Western Wolf aka Felicity Vanderstrix
The Corruptions- Didn't really get enough Corruption submissions to really start a game on their own, but here's the list of characters that could change their background/alignment and play on the Corruption side. It's entirely up to them, but I would like the two groups going at the same time.
    Ashe aka Archeon the Everchosen
    Tark aka The Crismon Blade
    Gavmania aka Silver Ghost
    Bobson aka Zharr

All the submissions were really good and it wasn't an easy time picking. If you weren't picked, you're definitely an alternate.

so if you made a corrupted you are automatically in?

Oh! Didn't expect you to come back today :D

Sorry to hear you got stuck with a witness. Explains things though!

Congrats to the other chosen! To the alternates, I wish you luck on your next endeavor-- or even this game, if people drop :)

I did post that my character, Maeve Dawnbringer, could easily play corrupted or branded...

Ugh, I want to play but going from good to evil changes a number of things about the character so I'll have to get on him and see what can be done.
