I'd assume since acid dart does acid damage, instead of weapon damage, it doesn't get reduced. But I already made my rules mistakes for today, so don't take my word for it.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Rays are considered weapons, and thus you should apply it, as well as other bonuses that increase weapon damage. I will retcon the damage for Mith and Lionel. But together will have same effect, the red one dropping.

Nigel's javelin ends in the ground far from the enemy's skin.

The red trog is engulfed in an splash of acid, Mithrenon's ray finishes out that way the work Lionel has started.

Draylan trips successfully the blue troglodyte that fells to the floor eating dust.

Demario's bolt is well placed over the troglodyte, but the thick skin deflects the damage in the end. No cover, and no melee penalty as no one is threatening him still

The blue shirt troglodyte tries to stand up defending himself at his maximum. total defence +4 dodge compensates the -4 AC from prone
Lionel's opportunity fails but Drylan connects a good hit that sends the creature back to the floor totally unconscious.

"The door is unlocked, so, let's go and see what's on the other side. After that, I say we see what's upstairs, and be done with this place, I don think that I'm ever gonna get that lizardman stank off ma clothes..."

"Well, actually..." The wizard makes a gesture while voicing some arcane words, and Lionel's scent is replaced with that of a...well, the stench of a human. "Is that better? Come, let us see what's behind this door. More troglodytes perhaps? Hmm, probably not, given they should've burst through menacingly by now, with all the fighting going on." With a shrug, Mithrennon falls in line behind the burly types, ready to check out the next room.

Prestidigition.

"Wow. That's a neat trick, Mith. I should probably learn it, though mostly I take showers for the recreational benefit. Heh."

Lionel opens the door, after letting someone check for traps.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

When you open the door, you access a small closed room. Laying in the northeast corner a human is bound in manacles. His hair, before of a golden color like the Sun, is now smeared by spoils of food and excrements. His skin is pale an shows having been beaten.

The figure almost doesn't react to your arrival, he just shivers and almost doesn't look up at you. In fact he averts his eyes from the sudden light.

After a second he seems to realize about something "W-w-who are... you... the-e th-e light... y-you are not troglodytes!" he places his hand between Nigel's lamp and his face trying to stop the brightness coming in.

"Spot on, pal.", says Lionel, grinning. "We're here from the Absalom Museum, looking for precious things to... emancipate. How precious are you?" Before the man realizes Lionel's response, Lionel goes and tries to smash open the manacles with the troglodyte's key. "So, who are ya, and why are you in these manacles?, says Lionel while fiddling with the key.

Seeing the brightness is hurting Nigel places his lamp outside the door and approaches with as much friendliness as possible.

We are adventurers sent by a man named Nigel from the Blakros Museum, but that's not important right now. You look like you're in pretty bad shape? Do you need anything from us? Healing? Water? Maybe we can break those chains? We are not here to hurt you.

Lionel uses Tulok's key on the manacles and it fits perfectly. The human is released free.

"O-oh o-oh! W-wha-what are y-you d-doing?" seeing himself free again he makes what seems a smile "M-my na-ame is Bale-balenar, Balenar Forsend." talking with difficulty he addresses the gnome "Y-you a-are kind. I w-would appreciate some w-water and real food. Tho-ooose trogs doesn't know h-how real fo-oood tastes."

Mithrennon, I notice you have some trail rations with you. Could you share some with Balenar? In the meantime, I'll try to find some fresh water. I'm sure the water in the room next door is pretty toxic since those horrible reptiles have been swimming in it.

By the way, we found some weaponry and a wayfinder in the room where those awful hideous beasts sleep. Do those belong to you?

He then addresses the party.

Does anyone have a flask or a waterskin pouch or something like that? I'm going to cast ray of frost into it, then melt the ice into to water over the brazier of coals in their bedroom.

If that is something that wouldn't work just let me know, best way I could think of for getting him water.

"Here you go." Mithrennon brings his backpack to the fore and rummages through it for some trail rations. He offers it and his waterskin to the recently freed man.

"Why are you here Balenar? And how did you come do be shackled in here as you were?"
