I present Shyness, the Changeling Celestial Bloodrager. Backstory only at the moment, crunch to follow soon.

Feedback and critiques welcome.

I apologize for the length. All I can offer is this: It's her story, she simply allowed me to tell it.

;)

Inspiration: Changeling and Annis Hag

Background:

"Happy birthday, Shyness!" The older woman hugged the young girl tightly.

"It isn't my birthday yet, Sister Gia. We still have a few hours," the young girl quietly replied. Her name was Shyla, but everyone in the orphanage called her Shyness because of her quiet voice and timid nature.

"Soon enough." The affectionate Sister stepped back and brushed some of the long white hair back from the girl's face. "You are so beautiful. You shouldn't hide behind your hair."

Shyla looked at her caretaker for a moment, one eye golden, reflecting the firelight, the other eye midnight blue, absorbing it. She self-consciously pulled her hair back down, veiling half her face and her golden eye. "I should finish up and go to sleep."

Later that night, Shyla was woken by a beguiling feminine voice. For a brief moment, she thought it was her mother. She dismissed the notion quickly. This voice was soft, like her own, and compelling. She knew it was calling to her, though she couldn't make out the words. She rose from her bed, exited the cottage, and followed the voice into the woods.

Shyla was not aware of how much time passed as she walked. The woods seemed to be in an eternal twilight, neither day nor night. Mist clung to the ground and the trees. And still the voice called, compelling her forward. At some point, the trees ended at a tiny clearing in front of the entrance to a cave. Run. Shyla stepped forward to the cave's mouth, running her hand along the stone. The voice's call was almost overwhelming at this point. She could almost understand what it was trying to tell her. Run. Shyla brushed at the air near her face as if swatting away a pest.

As she stepped inside the cave, Shyla saw that it was finely furnished, as if someone of means was living there. In fact, there was a blazing fire in a huge hearth. The fireplace seemed to be a natural formation of the cave wall. Out of the shadows on the side of the hearth stepped a feminine form. Shyla could not make out any details because the fire was at the woman's back. Shyla stepped closer to change the angle. Run. The unknown woman was incredibly beautiful. And she was singing to Shyla, calling to her. the woman held out her hands and Shyla placed her own hands into them. The singing stopped and the woman said in a melodious voice, "You have finally come, my dear. I have waited for this moment for so long."

"Who are you?," Shyla inquired timidly, intimidated by the other woman's beauty.

"I'm Belda, your mother, of course," she replied reassuringly.

"My mother?," Shyla asked hopefully, her voice rising above its normal volume. "I've never known her."

"You do now." The woman, Belda, stepped further into the light, revealing her midnight blue eyes. Shyla gasped, knowing that one of her own eyes reflected that same color. "Yes, dear, we are going to know each other very well in the coming years." She reached up in an oddly familiar gesture and brushed the hair away from the other side of the girl's face and recoiled. Run! Shyla quickly pulled the hair back to cover herself again, ashamed of what the woman, her mother, had seen. "So you are also your father's child? We will fix that shortly," she continued, an edge creeping into her voice. She turned to the immense cauldron over the fire. Had that been there the whole time?

"My father? He had golden eyes? Nobody that I have met has them." Shyla was confused and her voice was diminished again.

Belda laughed, but it wasn't beautiful or reassuring. "No, it's very rare for meat to have them. Your father was special, though," she said, gesturing to something on the mantle. Shyla took a few steps towards the object. It was a skull, humanoid looking, but with tusks, with a ring beside it. Run! Shyla could not decide if the woman had meant the skull or the ring.

"I don't understand."

"He was a holy warrior of some sort. A fine hunt, that was. Righteous and pure, tender and delicious, he was," she cackled. "But don't worry, we'll rip that purity right out of you, dearie."

Shyla reached out towards the ring, the woman's words not registering. The moment that she touched it, the fog finally lifted from her mind. Run! Run! Run! Run! The word repeated in her mind without end in a woman's voice, beautiful, but not beguiling in the way that Belda's had been. She looked around, seeing the cave for what it really was, a hovel. The furnishings had once been fine, but were worn and dirty, a farce of luxury. Afraid to look, Shyla steeled her will and turned towards Nissa. She was revealed in her true form, a huge, hunchbacked crone with skin that was black and blue, as if the entirety of her was bruised. Run! Run! Run! Run!

The cauldron bubbled and Shyla thought she saw a child's arm rise to the surface. It was pushed down by the hag. "He was my father and you are my mother," Shyla stated with conviction, somehow knowing it to be true, but hoping for a denial.

"Of course, dearie. I just said that." The witch continued to stir. Tears fell down Shyla's cheeks. Run! Run! Run! Run! Discovering that this monster was her mother filled her with emotions that she did not know how to control. Run! Run! Run! Run! Summoning her courage and her rage, she lashed out, shoving the crone forward into the cauldron. Run! Run! Run! Run! The hag came up screaming. Run! Run! Run! Run! Finally, Shyla ran.

Shyla ran out of the cave and ran into the woods. She ran through the mist until she could not run anymore. Out of breath, heart racing, legs aching, the girl hid behind a tree. With tears streaming down, she put her face in her hands, attempting to be quiet. It was that gesture that made her realize that she still had the ring in her hands. She looked at it closely in the dim light, glad to distract herself from the terror and exhaustion that she felt. It was a golden band with two etchings on it. Two figures in flight, the first, an angel, the second, a dragon. It was a large ring, or seemed that way in her tiny hands.

Did the ring belong to my father? It seemed reasonable that it had been the hag's trophy of that murder. If it had belonged to him, then it is my inheritance. It is all that I have left of my parents. Or, more accurately, it's the only legacy that I want. That thought inspired her to slip it on her thumb. As soon as she did, a hand slipped over her mouth, muffling her ensuing screams. A face slipped into her field of vision. It was a bestial face with grayish skin. The heavy brow was furrowed, and long canine teeth protruded from its mouth. It put its arm against her shoulders, pinning her to the tree. Between her weakened state and the sheer size difference, Shyla knew that she wasn't going anywhere.

"No cry. I help. Please no scream. I remove hand, you no scream.," a rough, gravelly male voice emitted from his mouth. Eyes wide in fear and shock, Shyla slowly nodded. It... err, he can speak. What new terror is this? He took his hand off and waited, their gazes never breaking contact. When she did not scream, he nodded. "Please no run. Run from evil bit... err, witch, not me." He removed his arm, trusting her. She adjusted her position and he looked concerned.

"Who are you?"

He hit his chest with his fist in some sort of salute. "Thark. I help. You no cry. Keep safe from witch."

Shyla wiped the tears from her eyes. "Everyone calls me Shyness." And that was how Shyness met Thark.

In the coming days, Thark taught her how to survive. He taught her how to hunt and fish, how to hide, and the ways of orcs, as he was a half-orc. He taught her about honor and combat. Her affection for the half-orc grew even faster than her skills. And each day, they searched for a way out of the mist. They avoided being caught by the hag, but they were snared by her mist, unable to leave her territory.

One day, out of the mist appeared a beautiful woman. Shyness turned to flee. The woman called out, "Do not run."

Shyness froze. Without turning around, she said, "Say again."

"Do not run. I will help you. I ask that you answer my questions first, though I will help despite the answers."

Shyness turned. "I know your voice. You were the one telling me to run."

The woman smiled, but did not answer. Instead, she asked, "Why should I choose you?"

Shyness pondered the first question. She had no context for it, but felt that she wanted to be chosen. "I am strong, loyal, and true."

"What have you done with your life so far?"

Shyness offered no excuses. "I have learned. While I may not have honors, I have demonstrated that much. I will learn more. I will strive."

"What talents can you bring to the cause of good?"

Confidently, Shyness replied, "I can hunt and survive. I can teach others as I have been taught. I will defeat those who are evil. I will visit my wrath upon wrongdoers."

"And, most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?"

"I can offer only my word. Thark has taught me honor. I will not violate it. If you lead the way out of the mist, I will be true.," she said with conviction.

The nameless woman pondered Shyness' answers for a long moment. "Come," she finally said as she began to walk away.

Shyness followed. "I have been chosen?," she asked eagerly.

"Not yet, but perhaps in time. I will lead you out, but remember your promises should I ask it of you."

Shyness pounded her fist to her chest in salute. "My honor."

They walked for some time, taking peculiar turns, doubling back occasionally. The woman never changed her pace as she floated along. The entire time Thark trailed just behind her. She would occasionally look back at him and smile. Each time, he simply nodded in response, never betraying his thoughts about their possible escape. Finally, they came to a place where the mist clearly ended.

"Thark, do you see it? I began to doubt it was real!" She rushed out into the first sunshine she had seen in a very long time, the woman forgotten. She spun in circles, head back, arms extended, basking her fair skin in the warmth. She looked back to Thark, who was still standing in the mist. "Thark, come." She took a step towards him. The half-orc shook his head. Her voice turned desperate. "You must. You gave your word." He continued to look at her impassively. "No, don't do this," she pleaded. "But you never promised that, did you? You promised to help me escape, but you never promised that you would escape."

Shyness went to her knees at the edge of the mist. Her tiny fists beat at the ground in anger. She looked up at Thark again, tears in her eyes for the first time since they had met. The moment gave her the courage to ask the question to which she thought she knew the answer. "You are my father, aren't you?," she asked, searching his face for the answer. For the first time, his beautifully ugly face smiled. As the mist swallowed him and the image faded, he offered one last piece of advice, "Run."

Very beautiful, with angelic marks on all of her face and body, the sleeping girl (she looks young even at her 88 years old) with a halo over her head, is obviously an Aasimar.
In her dream she flies on winds of white feathers, and hears the voice questioning her:
"So, why should I choose you? What have you done with your life so far? What talents can you bring to the cause of good? And, most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?"
Lesith smiles, enjoying the sensations of flying.
"I have lived my life righteously, I have discovered that truth is the greatest virtue, so I have never lied. I have forsaken violence, so I have refrained myself from hurting others. I have embraced my inner self, so I manifest the powers on my Angelic Inheritance, and I believe that with understanding and love any test can be completed, any achievement met, any challenge defeated. You can trust me because I know who I am, and I won't falter in the face of evil. I might die, but I won't surrender."
DM: I want to try this "build", with a character that never cause direct HP damage (only with summon creatures, for example), but uses defensive, or hindering, spells. She has an ability called "Heavenly Fire", but I would like to change it for something not offensive, can I do it?

The question:

Arabeth's dream seemed normal. Her great pinions stretched to catch the winds rising from the great city below as she basked in the early morning rays of the sun.

Slowly, things changed... The sun seemed to dim, the air to grow cold and thin. As she strained against the changes she hears a voice...

"So, why should I choose you? What have you done with your life so far? What talents can you bring to the cause of good? And, most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?" A woman's voice asks these questions. Even as the winds began to tear at Arabeth's form.

Flexing and straining, pushing her wings against the bitter air Arabeth reaches, claws her way back into the sky.

"Has my life not been one of serving the Goddess?" Arabeth cries into the winds. "Have I sought nothing? Asked for nothing? Devoted all of my time and efforts to serving? " Arabeth's sable wings continue to beat at the air which no longer seems to be capable of bearing her weight.

"The temple is my home. My life." She strains and struggles. "I know I have served well, learned well.... I have given my all and sought nothing. I will NOT FALL!" Arabeth rails against the conditions around her, reaches within herself... to the inner core of her being, wherein she seeks the spark which is the conduit to the essence of the divine for which she lives, breathes and gives her all.....

Page finished and posted behind this avatar.

Much cheers to all. (^_^)

Only time for a quick scan and post now... About to head off to work...Haven't read all the details/characters since my last one...

Spacefurry, oops, I didn't notice that was just a trait, not an inherent part of the voidkin. My mistake. Will look more at your other option later, at a glance it looks neat.

Shyness, I look forward to reading your mini-novel. :)

Lesith, I will consider the question more later. Doesn't heavenly fire also have the option of healing?

Polterol, please check Shyness's crunch and vice versa.
Lesith, please check Vincent's crunch and vice versa.
Next person to post a character, please check Arabeth's crunch, and vice versa.

Have a great day, all! :)

@Slyness: I have a few questions about your build. You've got one more language than I think you should. Heal isn't a class skill for Bloodrager. And you've spent one more skill point that you should have. Other than that, you just need to pick up some gear beyond the armored kilt and the mwk crafting tools if you want.

@Poterol: I believe Shyness' celestial bloodline gives her heal as a class skill. If I am wrong about this, my apologies.

Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

My copy of ACG shows no Bloodrager gets any class skills from bloodline that I can find. I didn't see anything else in the build that would grant it as a class skill. If anyone can double check the build for me that would be appreciated.

@Niteflier: It seems you are correct. The Bloodrager Bloodlines do not grant a bonus class skill like the Sorcerer Bloodlines.

Nice catch, Heal is the issue there. That's the extra point which goes to Linguistics. Changelings get both Common and the primary language of their host society.

Aye to gear, also,. Will check for you. Thank you for doing mine.

=)

Edit: @Poterol: My only question is: Did you switch Glitterdust for an alternate aasimar heritage? I didn't see it show up. I only saw "{super}S{/super}" under spells.

Re-edit: Understand Writing. Credit goes to Natanja. =)

@Slyness: Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to see why HeroLab put that in there.

Dark Archive

Did it select the Sorcerer bloodline instead of the Bloodrager one?

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 32

I took another look over the alternate abilities, and couldn't resist dumping my SLA for the ability to mimic all animals. I'm not sure how useful it'll ever be, but it's just too flavorful to pass up for a hunter.

Also, I meant to ask this before and totally forgot: Does max HP apply to animal companions as well? Or do they get the average as per usual?

Spacefurry, your white fur blessed nine tails Kitsune idea sounds good. Might I suggest the White Mage Archetype of the Arcanist class? It would be thematic. :)

Slyness, I love it! And I really like the way you worked Shyness's question answers into her backstory. Could you make one post in this thread as your Shyness alias? (It could be as simple as "Hello.")

Lesith, I have an idea for you. Normally, heavenly fire does this:
Heavenly Fire (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can unleash a ray of heavenly fire as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. Against evil creatures, this ray deals 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. This damage is divine and not subject to energy resistance or immunity. This ray heals good creatures of 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. A good creature cannot benefit from your heavenly fire more than once per day. Neutral creatures are neither harmed nor healed by this effect. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.
...
But how about for your character it has no effect on evil or neutral creatures, but heals good creatures 1d6+1 (instead of 1d4+1) and it can benefit the same creature more than once per day.
Sound good?
If you like it, include the following text in your profile:
Heavenly Healing Fire (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can unleash a ray of heavenly fire as a standard action, targeting any creature within 30 feet. This ray heals good creatures of 1d6 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. Neutral and evil creatures are neither harmed nor healed by this effect. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Vincent, looks good. I see you answered the questions in your profile. Make sure to fill in the profile lines for class and alignment and such.

Arabeth, for a moment it looked like you had way too much starting equipment, but, looking more carefully, it seems you used your feat to get more traits and your traits to get lots more gp worth of equipment. Nice.:) Just make sure you did that math carefully and don't have too many traits or too much gp. I like the wand rifle of scorching ray. :)

Helio, I like that animal mimic idea. I hope you'll find a way to work that into the game somehow, because it really is great flavor, and could possibly be very useful.

As for animal companions... sure, why not, they can have Max HP too. :)

Thanks to everyone for checking over each other's builds. If anyone has extra time on their hands and would enjoy doing so, feel free to look over crunch for more fellow players than just your 'assigned' one. I like to see you asking questions about each other's crunch and clarifying things now so that we don't get bogged down once gameplay starts on Saturday.

*Bows* I am pretty sure the figures for the starting money work out. 900X2 Gp for two traits, 300X1 Gp for one trait. Starting level moneys @ 2000 Gp. Wand cost 2250 Gp (25 charges) the 'Rifle stock' cost 400 Gp. Everything else after that is just the fun stuff one would always take out adventuring. (^_^)

I am sorry for not helping in checking out others characters. Shift work, slight illness have kept me busy. I'm glad I squeezed in time for this Arabeth character. ^^;

Wishing every one all the very best.

Here's my submission.

Character sheet is still in progress, but the background is mostly worked out.

... all the good names were taken. I couldn't come up with any other spelling than this. I'm thinking of adding an epithet, but I'm not coming up with anything. I might change the name.

I'm also thinking of changing the avatar. It works for my concept, but I don't know if I'll have enough money for that concept to flesh itself out.

Related: I hope to flesh out the backstory more. I've got more ideas, but they're difficult to get into prose form. Gotta work on that.

So... between possibly changing the name, the avatar, the backstory, and finishing the stats, I'm not terribly done at all! xD

But here's what I've got so far!

EDIT: And yes, I'm aware of how anti-optimized he is. With this many characters, I'm pretty sure it's fine. :)

--------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: my submission
--------------------------------------------------------

You've always felt special, like you have some sort of a higher calling.

Well, now, either you've gone completely insane, or you've been proven correct.

You've dreamed of a woman summoning you to the cause of good... or, at least, strongly considering it.

"So, why should I choose you? What have you done with your life so far? What talents can you bring to the cause of good? And, most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?"

-------

I've always been unique. I know it. At times, joy has been so intense that it's incredible. But such glory leaves its mark - I become fatigued, wearied by the weight of the mundane, returning to the world.

I've been chosen, marked for something. I know it. The village knows it. But what... well, it's never been seen. Why am I this way? What marked me and makes me special?

The voice lilts in, musical, surrounding my head and heart. I don't know her, but I've always known her. She's always been there. Forever. I've been waiting for her.

So why should I choose you? she asks.

"I thought you already did. Isn't that why I'm here? I thought... I thought my destiny was here at last."

What have you done with your life so far?

Didn't she know? "What... what have I done?" I ask, not really certain. I think back to my list of accomplishments. "I suppose... well, I helped tame that cow that one time. I settled the dispute between the Okrins and the Merivelles! Granted I didn't exactly make friends, but that's just because Lonny was a jerk. Oh! And I've seen the top of mount Glaster! I know it's a short mountain by most standards, but I'm the only one in my village to have done so, that I know of. I didn't make town speaker... but I had to back out of the race - Ceric was a better candidate. I did explore the old goblin ruins, I suppose... but that's nothing that's been done a hundred times by the adventurers. I suppose everything I've done is small, now that I'm thinking about it." I feel smaller, now. I felt so important... but now I realize I haven't really done much at all. My entire life has been... waiting.

What talents can you bring to the cause of good?

What talents? What talents indeed. Are my talents so very great? After all, look at what I've done with them. "I... I suppose only those I used above. I can move, well, I'm adaptable, I'm persuasive sometimes... well, I'm... I don't know. If I'm not good enough... I'm sorry. I don't know. I can make people happy. I- I like doing that."

And most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?

The words hit me like a charging bull. Mission. Like she controlled me or something. But it also spoke of need - something far more important than me. "Mission? Oh, Lady... look, I'm sorry, but I don't know any mission. I'll die before I let innocents do so, but I don't know about this whole 'mission' thing. I'm not a soldier - not even a strong scrapper, really. But if it's really important, and if I can do something to help, than know this: you aren't going to stop me!" I say the last defiantly, but I know she's not angry. The light grows and-

- Suddenly, I sit up, panting hard. I'm in my own room in my cottage. Mom and dad left it to me when they passed on. I was still small, and my younger sister took care of me and this place until she, too, passed. Then my nephew helped out for short while. He's downstairs with the hands, now, cooking. It smelled delicious.

I sit, pondering my dream. Something about it rings... true. I've always been around here... but it's time for me to move on. My parents and siblings have all passed on. Now I shall as well.

Her voice - it haunts me. I can't recall her face, and it doesn't matter. I was defiant at the end, but the truth is... I'm hers. She knows me, and knows me more than any I could ever dream. I would follow her missions to the end of the earth - to hell itself, and back again. I don't know what I'm getting myself into, but my world is ending. And it's a good thing.

I've got to say, it's really hard to find an avatar of a smiling guy who doesn't look creepy, evil, or ugly.

I just hope Azmaria's answers are good enough now (after looking at some of the others.)

@Ely: in your description it says Ely's tall but you have his height listed as 5'5". Was this a typo error and did you mean 6'5"?

Lesith sheets looks good to go :)

Mostly, I'm in the process of figuring things out myself. I've been sick and not concentrating well over the last week. Hence the slow, awkward updating of the character sheet. Hey, at least it doesn't call him 3' any more. :)

Sorry about being ill. Hope that passes soon. And yes, right now, much better than 3' tall. ;)

Really, I'm okay. I'm just working at the whole "focusing" thing. :)

Liberty's Edge

Gilthanis, I checked Vincent's stats and found something "off"
With the abilities you choosed I only see you using 23 of the 25 build points...
Also, In your equipment I don't see "survival gear"... normal stuff. Only weapons and armor (I mean, not even clothes).
Also, I didn't found your alignment, even if I bet is Chaotic Good.

@Arabeth: We get full Hp on both levels, so your hp should be 16.

Traits and Drawback are fine.

Stat crunch is fine. Skills are correct.

Which weapon is your heirloom weapon (from your trait)?

I'm having issue with understanding your gp calculation.

We all start with 1000 gp. You have Chosen Child which gives you an additional 900 gp and Get The Cargo Through which gives you another 300 gp. For a total 2200 gp. Rich parents really doesn't come into play because it states your starting wealth increases to 900 gp ... I may not be reading it as intended ... but for me that always means if you have a starting level 1 character and wealth is based on class, then increase that to 900 gp. But here, we're starting at level 2. If I'm misunderstanding Rich Parents trait, then my apology. I can't see how you're starting money totals 4200 gp.

You also haven't included the Masterwork Armor Coat in your AC calculations (+4 AC bonus, -1ACP).

Still updating gear, thank you for reminding me to buy the basics and other fun/useful gear :)

@Ely/Tacticslion: How about any of these for a possible avatar for your guy?

Could this be Ely?

Or this?

Or this for a more straightlaced look?

Arabeth:
@Arabeth: What did you choose your favoured class bonus to go into: +1 hit point or +1 skill rank? Whichever you decide, you have +2 to include. I couldn't see that included anywhere on your sheet.

Also, going back over your skills, it seems you are short on skills points...

Your class has 4+Int mod (+1) per level and so 10 skill points and then the GM gave us 2 extra additional skill points per level to use in craft, profession or perform. I count only 10 points allocated ... so you have 4 more points to allocate ... (2 points to either Craft, Perform or Profession and 2 points to other skills)

Tactics/Ely, nice! Like him a lot!
I think the current alias pic actually fits well with your concept. You can have the mask if you're willing to make the sacrifice. :)
Also, why not put his full name Elysium "Eli" Blackdun as your alias name? I'm pretty certain no one's taken it.

Arabeth, I'm still not sure on the gp thing... The standard starting gold for this campaign is 1000gp. Please see various comments by Natanja and others above to consider.

Hey, all, thanks for checking each other and asking questions about your characters. Keep it up! :)

Anyone else who wants to submit a character (alias profile and dream question answers), you have about 24 hours to do so...

Sorry if this has already been addressed. Since this is a homebrew setting are the deity's and their domains and weapons still assumed the same?

I'm going to play safe and go fighter. Crunch is coming.

The Dream:
Aeryth opened his eyes to see... White. He stood up, turned around and saw a woman standing and staring at him. "Can I help you?" he asked, "Why should I choose you?" she replied. Aeryth thought for a moment, then said: "Well, depends on what you want me to do. I can fight, It's my specialty. However I can also hold my own in a social setting, whether it be a request for a noble, or interrogating a street thug."
"I see"
she said and nodded. "You're abilities are unquestionable, however, how far does your devotion go? How far are you willing to test your righteousness?" Aeryth gave the woman a hard stare and said: "I die before I break." The woman smiled "I know. What can you bring to the cause of good?" "She asks a lot of questions" Aeryth thought to himself before answering"I've already given you all my talents. The only other thing I can give is my life." The woman nodded again. "One last question, How do I know you can be trusted with this mission?"
"I'm known for getting the job done when the cause is right. But, other than that and my good word there's not much else I can give."

At work.

Answers to questions.

Sorry about money. Will adjust down when I can. Aren't we starting at 2nd lvl?

Class bonus is going into 'Life link'. Not skill or hp. Sorry, fogot about super generous DM bonus skill points. That is two more.

Heirloom weapon is proficiency in Deuling sword (Aldory)

Wishing every one all the very best.

I think I might be done. Rocks are noted as free. GM permission allowed my sling bullets - made of stone - to also be free. Otherwise, please check my profile and let me know if I made mistakes. Languages are GM-approved.

EDIT: Sister A./Edward: also, after reading your questions/answers, I think you're fine. :)

EDIT 2: Blarg. Fixed height/weight, too. xD

Arabeth:
@Arabeth: Yes. we're starting at 2 (that is 1000 gp). I'm unsure how Rich Parents trait will be allowed by Gm Angelina, but your total gold (not including it) is 2,200 gp.

Re: Heirloom Weapon trait, it says You carry a non-masterwork simple or martial weapon that has been passed down from generation to generation in your family. On your stat sheet the aldori duelling sword is listed as 'masterwork' ... I'm unsure if GM Angelina is allowing it to be masterwork from the get go or whether you are adding masterwork quality (via magic) to it after the fact.

Toxic, for the purposes of choosing domains and favored weapons, use whichever non-evil published Pathfinder deity information you'd like, but know that the flavor of divinity in this campaign will be changing. It won't change your mechanics, though. Keep backstory generic in terms of any specific deity. Good divinity does exist.

Aeryth, looking good! If possible, please check Eli's crunch.
Eli, please check Aeryth's crunch.

Arabeth, you can say the rich parents trait gives you 900gp. You can use your funds to make your heirloom weapon masterwork.

Eli looks good. Not quite done, but other that he's good, and fancy.

Tweaked the HP and the 'To hit'. Will work on adjusting the equipment list... soon... (>_>)

*Falls into bed after 12 hour shift....* (-_-)

Wishing every one all the very best.

Working on my crunch now, will have it done soon, been busy and it took a while to decide on a class. I'm not sure I'll have the time to choose spells and items carefully, and skills may change a bit (since my character is going to have a horrifying number of them), but I'll try to get the important stuff done by then. Not sure if I can check someone else's crunch tomorrow in time for the deadline, but I can certainly check something soon after.

Alright, Thunderbeard here, with a White Mage Arcanist, which is a divinely-inspired archetype that does spell book casting. (Crunch in profile, although I don't know how to allocate all of his 11 languages yet)

Background, Personality and Dream Questions:

Cernan never knew his parents, but he knew that they were something unusual. A child of the streets with a remarkable intellect, he grew into a promising scholar, but always felt different somehow (There were clues, too, like the fact that his body was always several degrees warmer than it should be and his eyes shone like fire).

While, as a young man, he found employment as a scribe and a magical scholar, Cernan has been a young man for several decades longer than he should be, and in the process has picked up a great deal of training and trade knowledge in all things intellectual, finding work more recently as a general investigator-for-hire.

And he has devoted his studies to one purpose—trying to figure out, through scholarship and deduction, something of the nature of the divine, comparatively reading through religious texts and taking jobs investigating mysteries and miracles, perhaps trying to figure out where he came from. But the divine has never spoken back to him—until now.

Questions, of the sort he had never expected or prepared for.

So why should I choose you? she asks.

"Because I seek a higher purpose, and, with your help, would have one to devote myself to."

What have you done with your life so far?

"I have... learned things. Many things. Secrets of a dozen religions, magic from across the world, the workings of locks and potions and the seasons and the tides. The skills it takes to be a competent blacksmith, the dreams of the day laborer, the hopes of the farmer and the fears of a king. I have learned what people seek to know, and aimed to help them find that knowledge. I have tracked criminals and reunited families, and I have always hunted the truth."

What talents can you bring to the cause of good?

"Knowledge, training, discipline. Magic, empathy, an incredible mastery of language. An absolute desire to find the best path forward, and an extremely keen tactical and scientific mind."

And most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?

"If you don't know that you can trust me to hold to my word and do the right thing, then you may not have nearly as much information as you should (although my assistant Scorpio could provide some excellent testimonials, if only he could speak). If you want to know whether you can trust me not to fail—well, I am a very tactical, careful investigator, and failure is something I know how to avoid in my planning. I am not reckless, or foolish, or glory-seeking; but I am determined."

Looking good, Thunderbeard.

So, make that 7 Male characters submitted, including:
Cernan the Patient the NG Arcanist White Mage - Peri Aasimar

Leaving some open languages at present until you learn more about the setting is fine.

If anyone has time to check crunch for Cernan (or for anyone else who hasn't been checked) that would be lovely!

Recruitment closes at 9pm EST USA today. The first game post goes up sometime tomorrow.

Happy Friday! :)

Looked over Cernan.

Stats are fine.

Re skills: I believe Disable Device should be +10 (due to +1 from Vagabond Child), Linguistics should be +12 (due to +2 for Truespeaker) and Perception should be +6 (due to +1 for Eyes and Ears of the City)

You've also only allocated 19 skill points. You have one still left to allocate.

The attack bonus for the light crossbow should be +3 (bab 1+ 2DEX).

I can't see your initiative listed anywhere.

It's late here, so I hope I haven't missed anything ... If someone else would like to check Cernan over, too. Thanks. :)

Kywin looked down from the woman at the paws she clasped before her, a twinge of regret in her voice. "I was told, my entire youth, that I was special. That I was touched, chosen by the gods. I was told that the fur that separated me from the rest of my clan meant that I was destined to rise above them. I never believed them."
"If one is to do great things, they can not think themselves any more important then those they wish to help. And they should inspire in others a desire to do great things. The circumstances of one's birth should not dictate their importance, but rather their path through life should be their story."
The kitsune looks back up at the woman in her dream with a genuine smile, spreading her hands slightly. "If I truly am chosen I shall continue to believe that and I will strive to help everyone I can. You and my comrades will have my loyalty for as it is deserved."
She grins playfully as she clasps her hands behind her back. "But then again, even if I'm not chosen I will do the same. So it's not like you can stop me from doing what I think is right."

(note: still need to finish with equipment, other then that I think it's all there.)

(edit: damn :p Cernan beat me to the White mage)

Cernan

As the White Mage archetype, you lose the 1st and 9th level exploits, so you shouldn't have the familiar.

Also you should have a total of 10 1st level spells in your book.
3 from start + 5 from Int mod + 2 from 2nd level

That's all I can see right now.

Right, thanks, forgot about being level 2 wrt BAB and saves. I'll worry about finishing spell book and languages once I know more about the setting, if I'm picked.

@Kywin: Curious is a 3pp drawback. Your Arcane Reservoir should max out at 5 points, though it resets to 4 every day. Keeper of the Veil, Dim Seer, and Survivor are all Regional traits, which means (unless I'm missing a house rule) that you can only take one of them.

Thank you, I didn't catch that. It should be fixed now. I don't remember GM Angela saying no 3pp for the traits/drawback. I was going to play up the curiosity, but if she wants I can pick something different.

Dark Archive

Are drawbacks allowed? I don't remember seeing anything about them. 'Cause I could totally go for some Paranoid to get Suspicious, heh.

Hey GM Angelina, this is Suthuri, finally checking in again after what's been a crazy week for me! I hope you'll accept this last minute submission! Here is Kayahidye (Kay-a-hEEt-yay), the feline serene monk.

I traded all spell-like abilities for a fly speed of 20 ft., an ability she has gained in combination with her heritage and monastic training. She can often be seen levitating as she mediates at early morn and eve!

Her stats are pretty much complete. I just need to add gear and traits. I have here my submission with the in-character responses to the original questions.

GM Angelina wrote:
"So, why should I choose you? What have you done with your life so far? What talents can you bring to the cause of good? And, most of all, how do I know I can trust you with this mission?" You dreamed a woman asked you these questions, and something about her made you want her to choose you.

Kayahidye's responses:
Levitating, cross-legged in the air some twenty feet over a mountain lion guardian statue at the base of her high, cloud-wreathed temple, Kayahidye's tail twitches, swaying in rhythm with her breathing as she enters a deep, dream-like meditative trance. In this dream-like state, she receives a vision that compels her to answer several questions to the woman who speaks to her.

"I would be a wise choice for your mission, for I shall bring dedication, and disciplined focus to your cause. I shall remain calm within, and with a clear head and clear judgement, no matter how adverse the challenges I must face to answer your calling."

Her serene, neutral expression brightens into a pensive smile.
"I have walked far on the path of inner peace. I have wandered far over these mountains, in search for who I am, and I have come to accept that I may never truly know my origins. Although goodness is in my heart, there is wildness there too. However, I have discovered a deeper calm within; I have balanced myself. I have progressed further in the monastic arts than many of the best students of my temple. I have become a master of myself and my mysterious nature, and now I am beginning to learn how to share my insight with others."

"I have many talents to give to your cause. With a mere touch, I can make even a raving beast reconsider its choice to fight. I have learned all manner of avoidance, by words, by swift movement. My body is a weapon, should things come to blows. However, I wield the powers of peace and redemption as well as a warrior's hands. I am quick on my feet, and I shall only become faster, and I have learned a second way of movement. Even without wings, I can walk on the air, and drift through the skies."

Kaya opens her heart to the woman speaking to her in her dream-like meditative state. "You are in my mind, so I invite you to look deeper within." She says, "Within me, there is only sincerity, and serenity. With peace and dedication, I shall become the cause you wish me to fulfill, just I have become the tranquility which I practice. Therefore, you can trust me with your purpose."
