Backstory:

Kayahidye was found in a finely woven basket on the edge of the Parakamaghara Temple grounds high in the Cloud Wreath mountains. She was discovered by a kindly little boy and his young mother. The woman brought the babe into the Temple, happily telling her son, "Someone seems to have lost a precious Gift. Here, my son, we have found you a sister!"
Kayahidye was raised in the Temple among the monks of the Mountain Lotus, who follow the Saint Kamalisatva.

The Faith of Kamali'Satva:
Kayahidye practices the Kamali faith, honoring a monk who attained enlithgtenment high in the sacred Cloud Wreath Mountains. Kamali was a wandering monk who climbed to this high place in search of a higher understanding and awareness. She came to this place, prayed, practiced her martial techniques, and meditated for a great many days. She eventually made it to a mysterious field where the lotus flower grew around a stream. This was a favorite drinking spot for a pride of mountain lions. Rather than attack her, the lions gathered to watch over her, to protect from other beasts and dangers of the high mountains, while she sat in contemplative meditation. Kamali became peace, became serenity, and it is said, could suddenly speak the language of God and the celestial beings, as she had remembered something she knew all along. A temple was built there in her honor, with mountain lion statues, honoring the guardians of her insight. Before she ascended to a higher plane of existence, the enlightened monk penned her story in several sacred texts, collectively known as the Kamali'Gita. It is written in Celestial, the language in which the monks speak to each other on all religious matters, and speak all of their mantras.
