Gustav Merval Weynolt
Gustav steps forward to take the reigns of one of the horses. "I'm no Outrider, so this will be more of a choice as to whether I an't blisters on my feet or elsewhere... But, still, it should save sovereign time."
He canters about the clearing for a bit Ride: Take 10+4=14, then trots over by the others. "Ready to move out when needed." He has the newly retrieved composite longbow in hand, and arrows at the ready.
Kiana Rouge
I wake up to see Zaxarii and Kerri standing up from their kneenling positions. I stretch, sit up and grab my lab from my bag and start to mix lots of chemicals. After a couple of minutes, I take 2 of the concotions and put them on my belt. After which I stumble to my feet, pick up my lab again and place it back in my bag, then walk over to Elanna and the others 'If I can find the resources I could make a few potions, if anyone is interested; yes I can.
Bandavaar the Brave
Still in conversation with Elanna, Bandavaar states "I'm ready, so I guess it's just a case of waiting for everyone else now."
Moments later, a new voice is heard. The Bodyguard looks to his side noticing nothing, then looks down and spots a female halfling. "Good morning to you too, small one!"
"I haven't seen you around before so you must be skilled at hiding. Anyway, it's nice to meet you."
Bandavaar holds out his large hand (in comparison to the halflings) and offers a handshake.
Zaxarii Domnoff Lebeda
Zaxarii continues preparations to leave after services.
if Kiana woke up after services (How? They are noisy) then Zax says this,
At Kiana's statement he says "Well if it takes little time all's well but the needed prayers have taken as much of the day as seems prudent; I think we should ride to the ferry point across from Silverhall as soon as possible."
If Kiana woke up before services then Zax says this other thing,
At Kiana's statement he says "Well if it takes a hour or less all's well, that's about the time I need for my duties to Gorum, but that is all of the day I wish to take, moving on soon seems prudent; I think we should ride to the ferry point across from Silverhall as soon as possible."
If a strong looking horse is available Zax says, " Given your small size, Kerri, I think we could ride double on this horse for a while."
If a strong horse is not available Zax says, "Ride this horse, Kerri, I have to walk anyway, no horse here could support me for long"
The prisoner is lashed by his tied hands to the saddle of a horse to be walked with that horse. The bandits gear is split up however anyone wants, Zaxarii does not care. Place any left on the horses.
Kerri Corynian
As the bodyguard holds out his hand, I look nervous and it takes me a while to shake his hand, which I don't shake, more I pat his hand once and then pull my hand away quickly. 'Umm...H...H...Hello. Sometimes it is good to be not seen, especially around violent tall folk.' At the mention of violent tall folk, I give the man a careful look. 'Being small is not so bad, is it?'
I turn to Kiana 'How did you sleep through all the noise? Making potions? What are potions?'
I turn back to Zaxarii and stand by his side, feeling all the safer for having such a big friend who is willing to help me.
Bandavaar the Brave
"Nervous, are we? There's no need to feel threatened by me. I may be tall, but I'm only violent when needed to be. As for being small, I was once friends with a very decent Halfling who wasn't much taller than yourself. He was a brave warrior and made me respect people smaller than myself a lot more. He showed me that people of your height are more than capable of taking care of themselves. You have your advantages."
"As for tall people always being violent, that's a little generalistic, but not everyone can be trusted so you're wise to be wary. Personally, I don't feel as though I'm in danger right now, so I have no reason to be overly cautious or violent. I'm a good guy really." Bandavaar smiles.
"My name's Bandavaar by the way. What's yours?"
After his brief conversation with the halfling, Bandavaar speaks to Zaxarii quickly, "Nothing here interests me. Money would be good, but I'm not going to take what I don't need, just to sell it on. Let's see if anybody else wants what's left shall we?"
The Ex-Gladiator turns away and looks towards everyone else, where he takes a large breath. Suddenly a loud voice can be heard by everyone in proximity announcing "Elanna and I are leaving now, so if you're joining us, can you please finish up what you're doing and ready yourselves for departure?"
Bandavaar turns back towards Elanna and starts familiarising himself with the horse she plans to ride, stroking it, hoping to put it at ease, knowing that he'll have to lead it if the lady falls asleep.
Bandavaar the Brave
"Well take care of yourself then Kerri. I'll do my best to protect those travelling with us (yourself included) and I'm sure Zaxarii won't allow you to come to any harm."
Does anyone trust me yet, or do they all think I'm out to get them? Ah, I don't know, but we're all in this together now and seemingly have each others backs. I'll do my best to ensure the safety of myself and those around me, but if I fall, I just hope some of us survive.
Anyway, if taking care of those around me doesn't gain the parties trust, nothing will.
Bandavaar smiles with a caring look on his face as the conversation ends.
You can tell Bandavaar means you no harm, Kerri.
Kiana Rouge
I head over to kerri, while she is next to the horses 'Noise? what noise? I didnt hear any noise, I was sleeping; I was. Potions are what you might call a spell, or ancestral power that have been captured or copied as it were and then bottled to be used later.'
I turn to the group, 'What speed are you planning on travelling? As I don't move very fast; no I don't! If you want to move at gnome or halfling speed I will need to put some of my equipment on a horse, yes i will. If you want to move at tall person speed, kerri and I will need to be on horses, this could be the better option as we could be in danger and the faster we move, the sooner we get somewhere a bit safer the better for all of us; yes it is.'
Harbador Hex
As the sun wakes the camp Harbador rises with a smile on his face. Our throats weren't slit in the night, lovely surprise! Unless they were and this is Elysium.... Stretching the last bit of strain out of his muscles, he idly toys with the hole in his clothing made the arrows from yesterday's battle as the others gather.
"Aye let the small folks take the horse, they'll be able to keep up with our brisker pace. I've taken a bow from the lot, more arrows as well. These seem well made, perhaps our enemies are better connected than they seem? Though such gear could be common in these lands, do any of you know?"
As the party assembles Harbador moves towards the front of the column. "May i take point? My eyes are sharp, I should hopefully be able to spot an ambush" He pauses and cracks a smile "And if they fail the screams will alert you."
Shaundakul DM
The party moves out shortly after waking. You move fairly quickly towards the ferry. You pass some slaughtered sheep along the road approaching a farm. The farm looks in good repair, but seems abandoned. Elanna notes the audit of the farm.
Elanna: "This is the Markovsky farm. This farm produces some of the best cheeses from this region. It is normally bustling. I wonder what could have happened. I will send someone to look at this once we arrive in Silverhall. We are only about an hour from the ferry at this point, so we should continue on."
Fifteen minutes after you pass the farm, you stumble upon a fairly large pile of dead sheep. Some of them are partially eaten, and a horrid smell permeates the area.
Kerri Corynian
Before moving out, I turn to Kiana 'What do you mean what noise? Surely you could hear the services Zaxarii was performing to appease his Iron Lord of Battle, Gorum. It involved a lot of banging and clattering!'
Shaundakul, was there a strong horse for Zaxarii and myself?
As approach the deserted farm, I look a bit worried but don't say anything. But as we approach the pile of carcasses I put my hand to my nose 'What in the Ancestors is that smell and what could have killed so many animals and not eat them all, also why?'
Perception to see if anything is here still 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Zaxarii Domnoff Lebeda
Zaxarii dismounts if mounted otherwise just walks over the the slaughtered sheep, looking at the wounds tries to see how they were made. Claws, teeth, or made weapons? He takes a long sniff a move action to try and locate the direction the cause of this may have taken.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Depending on the answers Zax get he will say ONE of these things.
The trail is in a direction not relevant to getting to the ferry."I think it went that way. Let's ride on quickly and then send help."
The trail head in the direction we are going.[ooc]"I think it's on our path to the ferry. We must be very cautious."
[ooc]Blows the perception roll."I don't know what happened or where it went let's go to the ferry carefully and quick, help can then be sent."
In any event Zaxarii wants to press forward, quick or slow depending on the above results.
Shaundakul DM - Please, give a bit more description to react to, what is the weather like, are crickets chirping or is all too still? Set the environment for us. Also I'm going to write my posts with conditional responses so as to move things along, please tell me the results of the conditions. Am I mounted or not? What is the results of the sight and smell check? You are our only eyes and ears in this world.
Bandavaar the Brave
As Bandavaar checks everything over before departing, he hears Harbador's request and responds to the Half Elves question.
"That sounds like a good idea to me. You did well last time, so I have no reason to doubt your abilities now.
I'll be beside Elanna, travelling in the middle of the group once more, but I've got your back. If I don't get much of a chance to speak to you during our travels, I'll see you on the battlefield, friend."
The warrior makes sure everyone's ready and then joins back up with Elanna before they head out.
Some time passes and Bandavaar notices a trail of dead sheep, leading towards Markovsky Farm.
"Elanna, be careful. I get the strange feeling we're not alone."
With a concerned but confident look on his face, Bandavaar smiles then begins to speak loud enough for the entire party to hear; "Careful here guys. Whatever did this may still be around. It's one thing to move fast, but some creatures can smell fear and fast movement often attracts attention. I suggest we move forwards cautiously, trying not to draw attention to ourselves. Be prepared for anything right now!"
What the hell could have done this? I once fought an Ogre in the arena. He was tall, mean and incredibly violent and those teeth. Wow, those teeth were sharp. I'm pretty sure he could have easily pulled this off, but the chances of an Ogre doing this are about the same as anything else out there. There's something about the air I just don't like. Whatever did this could pose a huge threat to us, especially to the smaller ones amongst us.
Bandavaar's smile widens as the thought of another challenge presents itself to the brave man.
Perception to look for any clues that may suggest the creature which caused this mess may be near by: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Survival to look for tracks and determine the size of the bite marks on the slain sheep: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

In response to Zax and Kerri. Any of the horses can hold the two of you together since Kerri's weight is negligible.
The day is cool as would be expected this far north, and there is a slight breeze blowing south from the lake of mists. The area is quiet other than the rustling of bushes from the wind. You hear no sheep from the nearby fields, and the number of dead sheep is obviously not a full flock.
Zax points to the north. "I think it went that way. Let's ride on quickly and then send help."
Kerri Corynian
As Bandavaar is talking to the group for all to hear, Well if it is still around, exclaiming something like that; which all of us can hear, surely it would also hear and know that there may be a potential food source or threat here?
At Zaxarii's mention of it going a different direction to us, 'That is a relief, I don't want to stumble against anything that could do this! Just imagine what they could do to us!'
Harbador Hex
Gripping his bow more tightly, Harbador glances about cautiously.
Aye but what could it do to someone not as well armed? We should at least see if these farmers are still alive. Perhaps we could bring them back to Silverhall with us?
To see if there any nearby farmsteads
Perception1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Bandavaar the Brave
In response to Harbador's request, Bandavaar weighs up the pros and cons, but mentions the following; "My main priority is to ensure Elanna's safety, but I can see where you're coming from."
The warrior thinks a little more.
"Harbador, what you say is a very good point. It's easy for something to start on a helpless being, but against armoured warriors, it may make those with evil intentions think twice. I'd like to scout the area with you before we head on and you being a capable point man may come in handy for spotting anything that may be laying in wait."
If Harbador agrees, Bandavaar says the following:
Bandavaar turns to face the rest of the group and makes a proposition.
"Thinking about the current situation a little more, I'm inclined to agree with Harbador. Elanna, my mission is to escort you to Silverhall, ensuring your safety, but as your cousin is here I think you should remain with Zaxarii as his blessings may help to keep you alive. I feel that all of you but Alistair should wait here as it'll be easier for you to group up and successfully hold off any threats that may try to test your abilities."
Turning to Alistair, Bandavaar smiles and says "Alistair, you fought well yesterday and you seem like a decent guy, so would you aid myself and Harbador whilst we scout the area for any lurking danger? Two capable fighters and a Ranger should be a strong enough force to deal with something like this and I feel if we do things this way, people have a much higher chance of surviving and defending themselves."
Once more, the fighter turns to the group and says "If we hear that you guys are in trouble, we'll come back immediately to assist you. If we're in trouble, we'll let you know with a shout, loud whistle or call. We need some way to communicate over a distance."
Kerri Corynian
As Bandavaar is discussing what he wants the group to do, I look confused. 'Why would you want to seek out something that could potentially hurt us, when there is a higher chance it will leave us alone as we are a large group of people travelling through. It just sounds like you want to attract it to us. I don't like that idea, I would rather carry on to the Ferry and then send some hunters to come down and either capture or eliminate whatever did this.'
Kiana Rouge
'I would like to know what it is; yes I would. But I don't agree with your party distribution; no I don't. Why would you leave only Zaxarii, Kerri and myself with Elanna? You say you want to protect her, but only leave Zaxarii with her who is a close and physical combateer. Kerri and myself can't do much protecting like that; no we can't. Why not leave Alistair here and I go with you and Harbadar, that way there is more I can do to be of real help; yes there is, and there will be another strong fighter to assist in any combat surrounding Elanna; yes there is.'
Bandavaar the Brave
"Well, Zaxarii can heal, making him the best choice for protecting Elanna and his combat skills may serve to protect those of you who wish to fight from afar. Having Alistair and Harbador alongside me means we can back each other and hopefully if there are any threats nearby, they won't notice Harbador attacking from afar.
There would be 5 of you and only three of us. your odds of survival outweigh our own this way."
Zaxarii Domnoff Lebeda
Thanks was more concerned about Zax's weight than Kerri's add but if the horse can take me, good enough. Are there clouds blocking the sun? Any haze or cool and clear? Is there some high ground nearby? A small hillock or ridge of about 20' or so above surrounding terrain within 200 yards or so would be perfect.
Zaxarii looks lost deep in thought while the debate waxes and wanes. At Kiana's statement Zaxarii smiles and says, "It appears Gustav that you have become invisible. A good trait, often handy in a soldier. My foremost priority must be to get Elanna to safety but I dislike retreating from a battle unfought, nevertheless I also do not believe in coincidence." Zaxarii looks around. "Perhaps we can look for higher ground as a group to better see around us, then send a scout group out. I do like Kiana's distribution for that better, her bombs may be of great use driving the being away. It's odor should be familiar but isn't; it is similar to human but not right, I suspect a giantkin or large goblinkin." Zax turns to Elanna, "As always though, the final word is yours."
Zaxarii turns to Kerri smiling wanly, "What you say is wise and prudent, but I do serve a war god, that wishes battle to be given as much as possible, within some reason. Sometimes it is not so easy to be my friend, Kerri."
"Bandavaar, your fighting spirit deserves credit but if you go on this scout be wary. No shame in retreating before a superior force and I do not wish to play into the hands of the mastermind and I think it odd that this unusual event just happens to be in our path."
A bit ninja'd by Bandavaar, have little time today.
ok ths ninja-ing is gettin out of hand!
Zax doesn't seem to hear Kianna's last statement.
Kerri Corynian
I look up to Zaxarii, 'If you wish to do battle, I shall help out as much as the Ancestors deem appropriate. I do not think that of yourself, you are following the path of a being you follow, he wishes for battle, so you do battle. I can understand that, the Ancestors too like to do battle, I am just a little more cautious, as I don't have a lot of physical strength. So I have to sit at a safer distance to help out, but the Ancestors are wanting me to get stronger, so I will have to start trying to please them in that regard. It is the least I can do for them, after they have chosen to make me a "gifted". You seem to be very strong and have big muscles, do you think you could help me get stronger?'
I turn to face Gustav, 'Gustav; my friend, you seem to be very quiet on this day. Is everything fine with you, do you have any advice or experience you would like to add to this conversation?'
I turn back to Zaxarii looking slightly confused, 'Did you say their odor is different? You can smell them from here? That must be quite handy, I hope I don't smell too strong. Is that a gift from your Lord Gorum?' At the mention of myself smelling too strong, I get a bit embarrassed and start to blush, which fades away quickly as I ask whether it is a gift?
Bandavaar the Brave
Bandavaar glances at Kiana, looking more serious than usual.
"Why don't I take you instead? Let's see. I've already told Harbador I'd join him and to be honest I could do without your constant insults. They bore me.
Besides, providing Zaxarii is okay with the responsibility of this task, I'd sooner you and he stay behind. If something big attacks, you have bombs and he's pretty flexible. I'm going temporarily. I'm going to be back and to be honest, I'm done explaining myself to you.
You're rude and obnoxious and I just don't like you. I suggest you stay out of my way."
Turning to Zaxarii, Bandavaar takes note of what he has to say and responds.
"I agree Zax. I don't like this either, but I need to find out what dangers await. I believe you'll be safe if you remain together, but I'll be back.
I know it's not just Elanna who needs protecting. We're all in this together for now, but don't worry. I'm not planning on being too courageous. If I sense danger, I'll return with Alistair and Harbador and inform you. I told Kerri I'd do my best to protect those around me and I'm a man of my word.
Besides, if I die in battle the next target would probably be Alistair if we're the only close ranged fighters in proximity of whatever awaits us. I won't be held responsible for another persons death, so if worst comes to worse and escape is no option for us all, I'll hold the enemy off for as long as possible so that the others can escape and alert you guys.......even if it means expending my own life. Hopefully it won't come to that though. This is a scout mission. I plan to find the source of the problem and return immediately."
Bandavaar looks down towards the ground and then back up into Zaxarii's eyes with concern, simply saying "I'll do what I have to do. If something goes horribly wrong, maybe I'll see you in the next life. I'm fully aware of the danger here today, but hopefully the gods aren't done with me yet."
The brave man walks away from the group, back towards the direction he came from originally. He raises his sword high into the air and stairs straight up towards the sky, pointing his blade towards the heavens.
"I fight for glory and honour. These two feelings are what steer me through life. I've entertained crowds of all kinds of different people and creatures from all kinds of different backgrounds and may have even entertained all of you who see all in this world. I ask for your favour today and hope that the flow of battle sways my way."
I don't know where you guys are standing, but Bandavaar walked about 30 feet back towards the way he came, so anyone who's near him may have heard his speech, though he was speaking a little quieter than usual. Those looking in his direction could see his actions.
I think the only people Bandavaar doesn't know by name are Gustav and Kiana, which is why I haven't mentioned Gustav and referred to the group as "everyone else."
Gustav Merval Weynolt
Must be why they never made me a scout, Gustav thinks. "No, I don't see any tracks either. Hrm? Oh, use. I'm fine, just taking stock. Indeed, let's continue on to the ferry. I'm not thrilled about traipsing through the countryside in search of Gozreh knows what. Let us get the Lady to her family."
Harbador Hex
"Some of you have made it your chosen duty to protect this noblewoman and I do not think ill of any of you for that choice. But, does this woman not have a duty to ensure the safety of her charges? We seek not derail the journey, but to check on those who may not be able fend for themselves. A simple look, that is all. If we meet with anything beyond our skill we will retreat."
As Harbador speaks carefully, his voice slowly rises with passion like kindling catching. He gestures with his hands over the farmstead. "We've not far to travel, it wont take long. I'm ready when you are Bandavaar"
Zaxarii Domnoff Lebeda
Zaxarii looks at Kerri seriously and says, "There's a long conversation to be had, we need to know more about each other to truly answer that but I think your ancestors gifted you with magic and not strength for a reason; there are many ways to fight a battle. We'll talk on this when things are more secure." Zaxarii continues sniffing the wind. "Oh, don't worry Kerri, I smell everyone all the time, I'm use to it. Not a blessing of Gorum, though perhaps a harshly delivered gift. It's from my father, like it or not, on his or my part, many Orcs have keen noses to better hunt and slaughter their prey. Keen eyes that see in the dark, good noses for the hunt, Orcs are well fitted for battle and little else. I have some of that for myself, it makes me a better warrior."
Zaxarii looks sideways at Bandavaar's by-play with Kiana and snarks quietly, "Why do the words Pot, Kettle, and Black come to mind?"
When Bandavaar comes to Zax in concern though Zaxarii's attitude changes to pastoral. "I don't always like what you say Bandavaar but I see you are an honest man with no deceit about you. I honor your courage and boldness in doing what you think right and pray for Gorum's blessing for you. I still think we should all move to nearby high ground and then see if scouting is not unreasonably bold. Looking before leaping and all that but I won't stop you, your oath of service is to Lady Elanna, not me. Any who wish can join you, like it or not, since I will command no one in this matter. Let's see what Alistair thinks though, it concerns him as well."
Turning to Alistair he says, What are your thoughts here, Alistair, you are a skilled warrior, what say you?"
Replying to Gustav, "Your solid commitment to duty is an inspiration and a great aid to us all here. Thank you."
Waves to Harbador, "I see you are consistent, just remember the saying 'The fox that chases everything catches nothing.'"
DM- OK still want to know what I posted about in the last post, also where the wind is blowing I need to know for my scent ability. A general overview is good as well. I don't need a battle-map but a good description of the area would be very useful. All I know is we are near a large river and a sheep farm. Likely the farm is mostly pasture and therefore has few obstructions but that may not be what you want. Still want a tiny hillock we can walk (not climb) up if available. Need any rolls, just ask or make them yourself.

Sorry no post yesterday, I'm working a second job at a costume shop this month, so I have a little less availablity, and I was exhausted when I got home last night. In answer to Zax. It is a mostly clear day. There are clouds in the sky, but not enough to dim the sun. The wind is coming from the north. Also, the terrain becomes hilly as you head north. There is a hill about 30 ft north of you.
Elanna has been patiently listening to your conversation. She looks like she's about to make a statement, but then she looks up towards the hill with fear and revulsion. "It looks like the decision whether or not to avoid this threat has been made for us"
Walking towards you at the top of the hill, you see a creature standing about 10 ft tall. He looks somewhat human, but disfigured with blood red eyes that are uneven by inches, a large lump on his shoulder, and a large muscular build. He looks angry and begins walking toward you hefting a ungainly large club. "Hey! No eat my dinner, or I have you for dessert!"
Kiana, you recognize the humanoid as an ogre. You know they are not particularly intelligent and quite violent, but can possibly be reasoned with or tricked.
Kerri Corynian
As soon as I see the even bigger tall folk, I get scared and start to utter some incantations and perform some complex hand gestures, the gestures ending in a manner that look like a box that gets gradually smaller. Every time the box gets smaller, so do I until I am only half my normal height again! Cast Reduce Person
'Maybe I shouldn't have used this gift, that big, tall folk is even bigger now! I just hope it won't see me!' I am saying this just loud enough for Zaxarii to hear as he is on the same horse as myself, but no-one else will be able to.
Harbador Hex
A momentary flash of fear spreads across Harbador's face but he quickly gets control of it and grits his jaw in determination.
Dumb eh? Looks about as bright as a Litran guard. Maybe they're as corrupt too?
"Week no quarrel with your dinner! We were simply searching for diseased sheep. We're from the north and a pox has been spreading, a nasty one at that! See if you eat a sheep that has the pox, things wont go to well for you! You should head into the wilds more! Harder prey but safer from disease!"

Well not sure to offer condolences or congratulations on you having two paying jobs but I understand RL issues, Please, if you can, just let us know.
Zaxarii dismounts from his horse and takes hold of his holy symbol. He hears Kiana identify the creature as an Ogre and Harbador's attempt to bluff it. He waits for the creature to make a move.
An Ogre, I think they are some type of giant, close enough anyway. Wonder if Harbador will successfully trick it. Kerri is worried.
"Don't worry Kerri, I think we can deal with this if necessary." Zax whispers to Kerri.
Bandavaar the Brave
Bandavaar returns to the group, only to notice a rather large figure approaching from the north.
It seems I wasn't that far off with my earlier assumption. Great, an Ogre. I'm outweighed, outsized and outmatched, but not outsmarted. I'm working in a group now, so the fight isn't just between it and myself. Best not to go running in mindlessly. This fight needs planning. The consequences of failure are too high.
Bandavaar turns to Harbador; "I guess the plan's changed. It seems the sheep eater has already found us. Time to re-evaluate our actions!"
The Warrior looks down at the ground and looks uneasy. He says quietly, remembering the terror this breed of creature once caused him in the arena; "These guys were a real nightmare in the arena. They're big and strong with only one real weakness - Intelligence. Things are going to go a little differently now."
Bandavaar looks to the group and says; "I know I usually run up ahead, but I learned the hard way that running head first into an Ogre's proximity is a very, very bad idea. You have to outsmart them. Not even I can kill them with sheer brute strength."
He then once again turns to Harbador and begins to whisper in his ear; "If your lies are convincing enough to this beast, a massacre may have just been avoided. Sadly, violence is usually the only thing on an Ogre's mind and I have the feeling that this encounter has only just begun. If anything kicks off, can you do your best to try and take this guy out with range? I'm going to attempt to get behind it. This doesn't make me happy as instinct is telling me to back off, but I can't. It's not in me to run away."
Shaundakul, could you possibly make a quick map up for us? I need to know of my surroundings so I can go out of sight in an attempt to try and get the jump on this beast. Thanks a lot. *wishes for tree's or a farmhouse to hide behind until the right time*

Bandavaar quietly hurries to D13, using a double movement a nearby tree, where he waits out of sight, hidden behind it for the Ogre to pass.
Let's hope I can get the jump on this thing. All it should be focused on right now are the dead sheep and the group I'm travelling with. Once it's engaged in combat with one of the others, it shouldn't expect to be attacked from behind. As far I'm aware, I'm practically invisible to this monstrosity. Gotta make this count!

Zaxarii sees Bandavaar try to flank the Ogre. Hmm, dislike his manners but Bandavaar does think in battle more than most warriors.
Zaxarri says, "Warriors, unless you believe you can control your mounts in battle, dismount. Ladies, I suggest you back off with your horses before the Ogre panics them, otherwise dismount as well."
Zaxarii stays in position blocking the way to his horse and Kerri. He draws his greatsword (move action). He grasps his holy symbol and casts bless in 50' burst giving all allies +1 to attacks and fear S.T. Everyone in the party should be affected (maybe the horses as well, text unclear).
The big drawback of Clerics, they can be great warriors but take forever to buff. The fighters in the group will make the kill, stuff, and mount it before I am done buffing.

Round 1, Init. 8
Hoping to draw the beast's attention, Alistair moves forward and shouts, "Hey! Not only are you not getting any horses to eat, but I am taking your sheep too!"
AC 22 (+4 from taotal defense)
HP 11
Kerri Corynian
'Okay, I shall guide our large mount to safety, but I will still be helping you in this battle. I don't want you to get hurt, so please be careful Zaxarii.'
I turn the mount so that is facing away from the Ogre and guide it to a safe spot out of close combat range (to P5). Once at my destination I dismount carefully and turn to face this foe that is threatening my new friends. 'Ancestors help me!' I start mumbling some strange incantations, begin to perform some complex hand gestures and I finish by pointing at the Ogre. Out of my fingertip a small, blue dart of energy (It looks like a bullet, but made of pure energy) flies towards the Ogre, striking it directly in the shoulder. As soon as the energy has hit its target, it seems to dissipate instantly. (Casting "Magic Missile")
Magic Missile damage = 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Once the Ancestors have helped me to strike at the large enemy, I shall take a 5 foot step (to P4).

Sorry for the delay guys. I'm working a second job as a favor this month, and messing up my schedule.
Harbador's arrow misses th ogre. The ogre looks at his shoulder where Kerri's missile hits and shouts. Vronk eat you first!
The ogre moves to 5E and swings at Alistair.
To hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 dmg 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (4, 3) + 7 = 14
He delivers a devastating blow.
BTW, I am not using the optional rule for massive damage, so you don't need to roll for death, just to stabalize. Sorry, that sucked.
