Draex The Skull Harvester
Draex unable to relax co tinues to scan the room to locate a new target. A few tics and shake of his head as he tries to remember the marines standing before him are friendly. The rage not allowing him to turn down continues to smash the bots to pieces.... storming over to aldegund's side abruptly
"Are there more of those tin cans in there"
Draex points to the portal... not waiting for an answer draex begins walking to the rift
"going to bust them up real good"

You step through the portal into nothingness. There is a blinding flash of green light, then you suddenly find yourself falling. You flail wildly and your desperate hands grasp the edge of a platform. After you heave yourself onto it, you look down. The platform is midway up a large, circular shaft. The shaft appears bottomless. If it weren’t for the energy that constantly arcs behind the cavern walls, you might think that it led to the darkest pits of the planet’s core. However, the energy is often blinding and suggests that the shaft must have a terminus. As the machines defended it so fiercely, there must be something important at the bottom. Perhaps it contains the energy source that animates the machines, or maybe the more potent members of this xenos race dwell within.

The wormhole remains open as you descend, providing a tenuous link back to safety. The climb is a direct vertical slog. You make your way down and the bottom of the shaft opens up into an enormous, brightly lit cavern.
Directly below the shaft opening is a platform attached to a long catwalk. The catwalk is attached by braided metallic posts descending from the ceiling of an enormous open cavern. The cavern extends as far as the eye can see in every direction. The floor—over 100metres below the catwalk—is covered in sand. Thousands of massive tesla flux emitters, each more than 20 metres in height and at least three metres in diameter—extend from the floor and roof of the cavern, like stalactites. White and green lightning flashes constantly between them, leaving the entire cavern brightly lit.
The catwalk descends directly towards the apex of a massive step pyramid, more than 80 metres in height. The pyramid is assembled from a flat black stone, which seems to absorb all of the light from the flashes of energy. Golden hieroglyphics are carved into much of the structure’s surface. Some portions of the structure intermittently glow with a white-green pulse. You are uncertain if the glow comes from within the structure or is merely a reflection of the constant flashes of energy. Even from here, you can see an opening at the pyramid’s top where the catwalk ends.
There is really only one way to go and that's across the catwalk. As you begin to make your way across please make Awareness checks at -10.
Aldegund “Trident of Lyssatra”
"Probably some activation for what is ahead, you think a trap Menstras or just caution?" as Aldegund admires the technology and getting some ideas himself "A generic activation switch to turn on possible some kind of room and it's respective machines, great for a workspace... terrifying here if we are to face more of those guardian machines"
Taloc - Spear of Righteousness
Taloc lands back on the catwalk and turns to Menstras, "Ulasht is dead. Only Taloc remains my friend. I do not discount them. I only trust in you my Brothers to overcome".

[b]"An energy field, Aldegund do you see a box that could be a power source for this field?"
Taloc looks for one himself but Tech is not his strong point.
