The Razor Coast has drawn men to madness and slaughter since the world was young. Tulita natives, born from the same fire as this jagged coast, claim the Razor existed long before the world’s other lands. It is a crucible of flame cooled by the ocean’s caress and its mountains, reefs, and lightless depths teem with as many terrors as lustrous spoils. The Razor bucks the trappings of civilization in much the same manner the storm-tossed sea spurns the men who dare mount her. This is no place for the weak-willed. Astri you see First Mate, Korg, and Boarding Mate, Jonah, at table. They have a couple ship mates with them. As far as the fiddler, he is finishing up right before the next match another undercard. The fiddler was good but you've heard better. A few folks toss some coppers and a silver piece in his case. He gathers it up and promptly places a bet.

The bard is surprised to hear Varion Drakemoore and Belok are fighting. "Oh. Hm... I don't know if I can bet on that match. I'm acquainted with both of them, I don't know if I can pick a side. Astrianna sees her opportunity to take center stage. Who cares about two barnacle lickers from the docks kicking each other in the balls? I'll give these people something with spirit... fire.. Pele herself will erupt! The bard psyches herself up, and heads over to the stage. "Embri, I'm going to fiddle for a while, at least until everyone else gets here."

She occupies the stage and begins to unpack The Brightening, softly running her fingers over the polished darkwood. Shelyn bless this wood. It's going to need a Protection from Fire spell, at least.

The half-elf rosins up her bow and briefly tunes her strings, but finds she doesn't need to- the violin was still in tune from last night's performance at the Gullet.

Awwwwww yeah.

Nothing can stop her. She begins to tap her foot, and the first note at the Skull is blazing hot, attempting to capture the attention of everyone in the room. Immediately Astrianna launches into a flurry blood-pumping music, her bow rapidly deteriorating at the god-like speeds. Her violin speaks to the crowd: The fight be damned. Dance.

If they don't act shifty, Chell takes each one onboard and looke them over with a physicians curiousity and healers gentle hand. She was right about the contagion. It looked like it would transfer through contact with the sores so she keeps the others away. Once identified, she pulls out the scrolls and reads through the divine words. The scroll turns to ash in her hand but the power remains. She reads the scrolls and places her hand on each man in turn. Healing mist washes over them and the boils recede and fade completely in the blink of an eye.

[ooc]I assume Remove Disease removes all traces of disease and we don't have to worry about the clothes, ship or dory. Otherwise Chell takes said procautions. I am not a nurse so I don't know what all those are.

When the man with the cat boards she asks him a few questions while she heals. "So you found the cat the last time you went to port? How did that happen?"

When all is said and done. "You are lucky we found you, in more than the obvious way. That disease was highly contagious. Did anyone else have similar symptoms to your own? Have you been to Port Shaw recently?"

The fiddle blazes and the crowd turns to watch just as the two contestants stepping up are being announced for the fight. Some of the crowd cheers but quite a few people are angry, and tankard of beer splashes near the bard as two large bouncer looking fellows step toward you. the crowd dies down.

You can see Jonah is face palming running his temples.

"SWEETHEART NO FIDDLIN' WHEN THE FIGHT'S ABOUT TO BEGIN OR IS HAPPENIN'....FIDDLE BETWEEN BOUTS OR GET OUT." One of the bookies yells above the commotion. His voice amplified.

If memory serves you sang last time right, you didn't fiddle.

Chell concentrates on her spells removing all signs of disease from the men, her concentration was nearly snapped during the second casting as Twiggles leaps from under the dory bench onto the Vintage's side.

"Then I will get it." Before the creature can fall into the water Chell grabs it, with a gloved hand, by the scruff and gingerly brings it into the boat but does not release it. Just in case she keeps it in attack range of fighter and barbarian. "Grab a glove and hold on to it while I finish up," she says to Sorrin, holding the cat out.

Once they are done with the examinations she collects the cat yet again and gives it a once over to see if it might be the source of the disease.

Heal: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

If it isn't she then asks it a series of questions trying not to look as crazy as she feels. All of course, under the assumption it is like Zalen said, a familiar or stuck. Totally not crazy:

Then I do all that stuff, then finish healing them. I get the feeling it hopped over to follow the guy that found it.

i grab the cat and do the stuff. I do not let go until its done or we have some idea of what it is and why it has an aura.

The rambunctious crowd settles down as the contestants are now introduced with the typical 3 minutes before the book closes. It makes sense why the the fiddling actually stops considering it is first and foremost a gambling and fighting den. The fiddling is to keep the crowd there between the lulls in action and to keep them drinking.

The fight begins and the two goons batter on one another for a a few rounds until one lands a skull crunching blow and knocks the other guy out.

As everyone argues about what to do with the scrawny cat, one pirate pleads to be gently that it is scared. the other pirates back away as the pandemonium of the scene develops. Chell huff and reaches over to grab the cat. In Chell's hand she gets a good look and figure out it is the source of the disease. But as you are examining it, it hisses and disappears.

Chell:
You are still holding it but it is invisible. You can feel it but not see it.

I combined several actions/rounds in a condensed time. Chell would have had to cast remove disease spell 4 time, then reach and grab the cat (probably some sort of attack roll to do so), while I did not give the cat any extra rounds to scramble up. Nor did I give Sorrin, torgue or the pirates any extra actions. I'm doing this more for flavor of what is happening in the scene rather than the technical aspects.

I didn't see a concentration check for the cat ;)

Chell avoids following instinct and letting go as soon as the cat disappears. "What?" Which turns out to be the right move as it starts to flail about. "Stop...moving if you don't want to be dropped in the...water," she warns it, struggling to keep hold. Her hand is still dangerously close to the water. She attempts to get a better hold on the struggling feline to prevent just that.

A 10 untrained isn't going to give you anything other than the creature is an outsider. All you know is it's cat, with a transmutation spell, causes the shakes, turned invisible, and will agree to commune if Torgue asked the questions.

Oh yes, Bri def remembers meeting Korg at least. Maybe that is why she doesn't remember if she met anyone else of the party. :)

Bri smiles at the minotaur as she settles down in a chair and takes the offered glass of mulled wine. Well, I can't think of anything we've done to piss these fellows off, so I guess it's safe enough to say that this wine isn't poisoned.
