Oh yes, Bri def remembers meeting Korg at least. Maybe that is why she doesn't remember if she met anyone else of the party. :)
Bri smiles at the minotaur as she settles down in a chair and takes the offered glass of mulled wine. Well, I can't think of anything we've done to piss these fellows off, so I guess it's safe enough to say that this wine isn't poisoned.
"Thank you. Do you fellow have bets on any of the fighters tonight?"
The table is splint with the Varion Drakemoor versus Belok fight. Although they tend to think that Belok could win if he has a clear mind, they seems to like the fella. As far as the Jin taking on two opponents this is huge news. Nobody can recall it ever happening before. The two opponents a rumored to be excellent brawlers. Jonah simple states, "My moneys on Jin until I see him go down."
Chell Silves
Didn't know that was where we were meeting but yeah sounds good.
Chell pulls Sorrin to the side. "It said it would reveal itself. If it doesn't I can hopefully make sure it does. If it is a devil I know not to trust them. Humans can vary, they can change, devils can't I know. So let's see what happens."
Astrianna Sparacello
Astrianna chuckles as Korg is extremely distracted by Embrianna, and says nothing about her forgotten drink. She sips the mulled wined and listens to the debate on the Belok vs Varion fight. The bard is seriously torn in terms of betting, and may abstain. "I'm not sure which will win. I've never seen Varion fight, but he's a fan of mine and I couldn't bet against him. I've never seen Jin fight either, but if the stories are true I'm looking forward to him winning me some coin."
Though.. she checks the odds...
What are the odds on the Varion vs Belok fight and the Jin vs Duo fight?

If it agrees I use detect magic again to make sure it still isn't transformed. I want to see its true form.
"Well I agree. Now could you please show yourself. Your real self." If it still refuses to change she uses the Dispel Magic scroll and the roll from earlier.
Chell Silves
Detect Magic will eventually reveal its location as the aura of illusion will show up and it is still in range. The question is can I target it with the dispel?
Embrianna
Bri laughs at Astri's indecision. "Oh just flip a coin to decide. I think the best reason for betting on someone is because it gives you a real reason to cheer the fight on."
baldwin the merciful

First you need to spend the round and cast detect magic and there is 60 ft cone radius. You would see there presence of an magic aura within the cone radius. The actual location is revealed in round 3 per the spell.
To target a dispel you'll need to find a location. I think that's going to take you three rounds. You can see if this has been answered in the rule forum.
It would not agree to let you detect magic.

Suggestions for questions that Toruge would have the knowledge to ask:
Has the true map to Garr Bloodbane's Treasure Hoard been found?
Has Garr Bloodbane's Treasure Hoard been found?
Does The Ring in Port Shaw worship Harthagoa the Krakenfiend?
Are the Priests of Quell that were kidnapped by the Ring still alive?
Does barley make the best beer?
Will my invisible beer canteen be a huge success?
Unfortunately Astrianna loves her coin too much for its fate to be decided by a mere coin flip. She will need more time to decide if it's worth it to put down any money...
Chell Silves
So its not going to show itself and I can't use detect magic to find it and dispel the invisibility? We also know it is somehow over the oven right now as that is where the voice is coming from? And we are in combat? Just want all the facts before making a decision. It is starting to sound like an imp.

Torgue suddenly look like he is inspired! Can people stop him before he says something silly?

You have been in combat/action rounds. The invisible cat goes first in the round. It used it's RD 2 actions as: transform back into a form and fly. It does not have a third action to drop the invisibility. although there's talk of killing it so it's pretty nervous right now.
You can only cast one spell a round, so you can cast the detect magic but not the dispel yet. Detect magic reveals there is magic int eh 60 foot cone in the first RD that you cast it. it takes three rounds of concentration to determine the location of the aura.
You do know it's over the water because it has spoken and it sounds farther way to you.
You know it's an outsider but you don't know what type or what it is, you haven't spent much time in that study.
Chell Silves
Chell turns to Torgue and leans towards his ear. She was going to make it reveal its hand. Even evil creatures had to follow the rules. She smiles in the direction of the voice and nods at Sorrin. There was only one reason it was being secretive. "Ask it if it is an evil being."
Sorrin the Wayward
Sorrin keeps an eye on the for ex-plague carriers.
As far as he is concerned this is making a deal with the devil, and the bleeding heart wouldn't let his kill it, or at least try.
Where is Dajobas when you need him? Dawnflower, forgive me.
Chell Silves
"It has to. That is the deal. Evil or not they have rules that even they can't break."
Commune means they have to give the correct answer.
Chell Silves
FYI I meant for that to be quiet enough that only Torgue heard.

Torgue asks a questions but his voice just drifts over the water. Met with silence. From the sound of things the creature decided to leave before it was killed in a double cross. He doesn't hear Chell speaking to Torgue in whispers but he can see the hushed conversation. He remains silent, then on his turn he skedaddles.
As for the pirates, they look shocked that the cat could talk and in awe. three of the four thank you all profusely for saving them, the other man just seems sad that his Twiggles is gone. He keeps mumbling, "Didn't know, didn't know..."
I had couple ways to play out that encounter: one he could have just tried to infect or reinfect everyone. Ultimately leading to quick combat where it would have been overwhelmed. Two, it could try to strike a deal for his release and give the party a chance to gather information through the commune spell. If you had agreed to the release it unharmed, he would have helped you with the spell. However, it was an intelligent creature, so with the talk of killing it, it decided to save it's own skin and flee. But now you have a potential reoccurring menace/character/dubious ally.
Capt Donovan
After a a minute of waiting, Captain Donovan simply announces, "Tie a line to the dory, we tow it back, it could serve useful on your ship. He tells the men, it's a small price to pay for what the trouble you've caused. Now, raise the sail." You manage to dock in an hour.
During the sail time are you trying to recruit them for your crew?
Sorrin the Wayward
I was trying to butt out, and respect a "chaplain" encounter. But, I kept getting dragged into it. Eventually, I just ran Sorrin as suspicious of the cat. Spreading disease and destroying mankind/life. He was never going to make a deal and take the weight of that responsibility. So, I tried to find a compromise, allowing the others run the deal. Also, protecting the ship, crew, etc...
You'd no way of knowing, and were as good as dead. You have a new lease on life and choices to make.
Pirate RC, NPC
On the way back to the docks Sorrin and Torgue spend some time chatting with the pirate/sailors. they are there to add to the crew but if you don't trust them because they were pirates that is fine too. The don't appear to be overtly evil and they tell you a story about being press ganged from a distance shore. The eventually earned their way to pay and freedom working on the pirate ship. All four are "Able Seaman" and are willing to join your crew if you pay them fairly.
Chell Silves
Chell wasn't quite sure what the thing was but she was sure it wasn't anything good at this point. They had missed out on information but was it worth it get involved with an evil creature. Sorrin would of course say no and she was inclined to agree on that point. But his open malice caused it to flee. Now it was still free and possibly the reason for the plague on those men. Donovan's advice hit her once again. Maybe if she had been more confident in dealing with it, they could have gotten information and removed the threat on other ships.
When they disembark she takes a small detour to find the harbormaster or someone close to him. She warns him to be weary of a malevolent creature, masquerading as a cat or other small animal that is spreading some kind of infectious disease.
I thought you have been bored being left out of the conversations for so long. That and Chell is not naturally confident. She doesn't make judgement calls that quickly. Thinks its wrong to judge something on first sight. It could have been a familiar, someone stuck as a cat, or exactly what you thought it was. This is why I will now leave a slot per level open for versatility. Could have really used invisibility purge.
Astrianna Sparacello
Astrianna is not-so-patiently waiting for the current round of fights to end so she can get fiddling. She looks over to Embrianna. "Where is everyone else, anyway? I hope they didn't run off on some adventure without us."
Chell Silves
Chell didn't enjoy the prospect of going to a place to watch people bash their brains in. It seemed overly barbaric. Then again, some enjoyed it. To continually challenge others and become stronger. For some they felt most alive when their life, or grievous injury, was on the line. And at least people didn't die, right? Should have asked about that. Also Belok was supposed to be a fighter here and a member of the Wave Riders. Maybe she would be able to talk to him.
Torque2
Torgue strolls into the Skull, a little annoyed at the creature but Sorrin had gotten some seamen for his ship. He promptly strides up to the bar, parting the crowds with his bulk like some huge whale and orders everything while he watches the fights.
Sorrin the Wayward
Sorrin was pleased... somewhat. He basically followed Chell and Torgue to the Broken Skull. But, when the assassins came, it's him they'd be after.
The place was loud and crowded, not his preference. His eyes scanned the crowd for other eyes looking back. And petiole from his homeland.
Astrianna Sparacello
Astrianna chuckles at Embri's comment, and looks to the door. "Hmm well Sorrin must have hired the other half of town, because he's here now." She waggles her fingers and sends him a Message. The bard knew messaging Torgue was a lost cause, he was already attached to the bar.
Astrianna's voice floats into his mind and she whispers the words. Table on the west side of the ring, with the minotaur.
baldwin the merciful
The Broken Skull:
Attracting vicious souls, prizefighting contenders, and a crowd of despicable knaves who pay to see men smash one another into oblivion, the Skull is a large, two-block converted warehouse. Inside, the roar of the crowd deafens, and the tables are arranged haphazardly around a circular pit in the center of the establishment. The meaty, unmistakable sound of fist on face resounds from within, echoed by cacophonous cries of savage joy from the crowd. That air is thick with the coppery smell of blood, urine, and shyte.
Pit fights are the real draw of the tavern. No-holdsbarred bare-knuckle contests rage from sundown to sunrise. The pit’s five current favorites bash newcomers to a bloody pulp, much to the crowd’s delight. Betting is forbidden by official order of the commandant, Gregory Bonedeuce, which of course means most of the patrons gamble to their hearts content. Dragoons do not come here, ever, and pit fights frequently spill over into full-fledged tavern brawls.
The rules are simple: one on one, no weapons or armor of any sort and no spellcasting. Praying (divine spellcasting) is fine as long as it has no discernable effect on the opponent. The feral crowd usually beats to death anyone caught breaking the rules. The other fighters, who do not appreciate dirty tricks, pile on.
The large bouncers, four of them at the door, will ask Torgue if he's fighting, then he looks at Sorrin and inquires if he's fighting. "If ya ain't fightin' yeh pay 1 silver t'git in."
