The Tatzylwyrm, focused on its chosen prey, barrels past both Sun Xiao and Chloe, taking hits from them as it does. However, it's still standing (or slithering) as it pounces on its chosen prey-Jack.

Bite Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Bite Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Grab Check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Rake 1 Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Rake 2 Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

As the beast impacts Jack, it bites him hard and attempts to wrap around him! However, its claws graze harmlessly off of the armor that he had summoned seconds before.

Jack, take 8 damage and I'm going to need you to roll a CMD check to try and not become grappled. Since his bite hit, it doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity :/

Errr...no such thing as a "CMD check". CMD is a static number, much like AC. If the Wyrm's 24 beats Jack's CMD (which is 10+Str+Dex+BaB+anything that adds to Touch AC basically) he Grapples (or Trips, Disarms, Sunders gear, etc.) him.

Jack has a CMD of 14, therefore (10+1 Str+3Dex, no BaB or Deflect/Dodge bonuses to AC), which is well below that 24.

Edit: Actually the +4 from Inertial Armor should applyso 18, but still.

Your to-hit should be significantly higher than that, bruv. Your to-hit for ranged attacks is BaB+Dex+modifiers. You have 0 BaB, but 18 Dex (+4), Inspire Courage (+1) and Point Blank Shot (+1). So your bonus should be a total of +6, putting you at a 25 for that hit, not a 21.

Ghulassen's arrow sails through the air and buries itself deep in the back of the Tatzylwyrm. It rears up in pain, but still holds onto Jack tightly.

Azor, you can't spend more points on a power than your manifester level including augmenting. Since you're level 1, you can only spend 1 point per power; in other words, you basically can't augment anything yet.

Chloe's sword cleaves through the tatzylwyrm, sending gore everywhere. The creature shrieks in pain and writhes on the ground in obvious agony for a few moments, before finally slowing to a complete stop. It's quite obvious that it's dead.

Gaah, I'm really sorry everyone-I had some family stuff come up late last week, and I've been sick in bed for the past few days. I should be back now for good though.

When you search the area where you first spotted the tatzylwyrm, you find that it had been feasting on what appears to be a human-although it can barely be identified as such now. It was either a bandit or just an unlucky traveler, you can't tell which though-or even what gender it was. A dismembered hand a few meters away from the remains still clutches a masterwork dagger-the blade is spotless, it seems as if the person's last stand was in vain. In the immediate area around the carnage, you find a quiver next to a shattered bow (ruined beyond repair) with 25 arrows still intact, along with a pouch with 150 gold in it.

As you search through the wreckage, a cold gust comes screeching through the gully, whipping up the snow and chilling you to the bone.

Gonna need saves to prevent hypothermia, same modifiers as last time.

I suggest splitting the gold evenly plus 1 share for the party fund. So, 6 ways, basically. Doing this adds up in the long run and is often very helpful when we need an emergency Raise Dead or similar.

Azor picks up the masterwork dagger. He takes his current dagger and is about to toss it on the ground, but changes his mind and puts it into his pack instead. He then joins the group.
"Off we go!"

Chloe, take 3 nonlethal, and you have hypothermia now-you're fatigued, basically.

You continue on through the forest, and for the most part are able to handle the cold-with the exception of Chloe, who just can't seem to get warm after the fight with the tatzylwyrm.

After about an hour you begin to notice a change in the scenery-feathered bundles and strange fetishes (NOT the kind you're thinking of) hang from the lowest branches of the trees in this part of the forest, swaying and shifting in the wind. All are stuck through with small pins holding pieces of leather bound around them.

Perception, and if you'd like you can make a Kn. Arcana to check out the bundles.

He notices that the bundles are actually the frozen corpses of dead crows, filled with tiny sprite arrows.

He frowns, shaking his head gravely. "It would seem that there are malevolent fey in these woods. Stay alert, everyone.
