GM BPChocobo |
I apologize once again for the massive delay. The worst of my personal stuff is finally at an end, for better or worse, so I am getting back into my PbP stuff. Downside is that our 4th is AWOL, so I think I will bot him. Deaglan, create your profile for your new temp undead-ed pregen and we'll get started again!
Varian Amari |
welcome back BPC... look forward to getting re-started!
GM BPChocobo |
The party rests in the bath, and amazingly he soothing waters do more than relax their sore, tense muscles. They feel like they had a full night's rest after the hour soak.
Aka, you get spells and other abilities reset! Also you heal your level in HP and can heal 1 point of ability damage
When the party exits and returns to Togarin's lab, they find the mad wizard cackling as he finishes up a few touches. He seems to be instantly aware of you and turns to the party. "Good timing, my newfound allies. Your 'escort' is now ready.". Upon those words, an amalgamated body with the parts from Garuke, Ailee, and Dermott and formed together into a warrior with a large greatsword. Red dots are where the eyes should be.
Enter the warpriest pregen for Deaglan.
"Now, he has been programmed to obey you as you look for Rozimus and slay him. Oddly, he has been suffused with the lust of war which caught the eye of strange deity. No matter, that just makes him more self-sufficient. Do note that I also commanded it to strike if you try to escape or, Azlant forbid, try to strike at me again. But we are all past that, right?", the wizard smiles.
And for the sake of it, Togarin has also been similarly rested, just in case you were wondering...
Varian Amari |
Before bathing, Varian will cast 'lesser restoration' until his dexterity is restored.

Varian looks less than pleased at the turn of events, but resigned regardless... He has no qualms about expressing his distrust and dislike of this necromancer. "You and your art are vile... but we will do what we must."
Kylar Drugo |
Kylar hisses underneath his breath. "Let'sss jussst be done with thisss." He casts a bit of defensive magics back upon himself and suggests opening the northern door.
Use Wand of Mage Armor.
GM BPChocobo |
"Oh yes, and to make sure you get the most of my creation, use this to repair any... damages he receives.", Togarin comments, handing Varian a slender wand.
It is a wand of inflict light wounds with 20 charges remaining
Togarin sees the chamber his creation moves to and the Azlanti necromancer shakes his head. "That is my personal bedchamber. I'd rather you not disturb it, lest you bother what is left of my pet. You can try searching for Rozimus beyond the other side of the sauna."
Besides the western door from the sauna, you can also check beyond the Red door room. Finally, the undead has Dermott's left hand and Garuke's right hand, meaning it has the red and yellow sigils imprinted.
Kylar Drugo |
"Sounds good..." Kylar drones on and begins to make his way around the sanctum to the opposite end of the sauna.
GM BPChocobo |
Continuing from the red door path, the party now finds themselves in a corridor with three narrow windows overlooking an enormous chamber below. The group recognizes this as the strange tiled chamber with the Azlanti statues and the strange smoke. An elaborate rack against the back wall contains several vertical slots stuffed with scroll tubes. A large wooden door provides the only other exit, lest you be slim enough to try and pop through one of the windows.
Varian Amari |
Varian casts detect magic and scans the vertical slots to see if any of the scroll tubes might contain something of value... He'll point out any magical ones to the party, then go check the door for traps.

A scroll of wall of stone, two scrolls of tongues, two scrolls of summon monster III, and three scrolls of summon monster IV.
Have fun with those!
Taking the treasures, the party continues ahead, finding no traps still.
The next door is unlocked, and with the party ready, the group continues.
The sweeping ceiling of this spacious gallery allows for a huge display of framed paintings against the back wall, each of which sports a different monster looking down on the raised platform at the center of the room. The platform supports a simple table covered with an open book and numerous burning candles of various colors and lengths.
One of the paintings lies broken and torn on the floor.
It's a painting of a behir.
