Rodergo's spell has no immediate effect. But then one of the puckwudgies appears as it fires quills at Runzyl and Nevharath.

Attack on Runzyl: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 14 - 2 = 30 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 plus poison
Attack on Nev: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 14 - 2 = 26 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 plus poison
The poison requires a DC 18 Fort save or you take 1d3 CON damage. You also need to save next round as well.

"The hells? Where did those come from?" Ezreal dips a thumb and index finger into a leather pouch of powdered talc and silver and traces a line down across both eyes. Senses heightened the mage moves in so that he can see the next room.

You can see another Puckwudgie in AH1.

Gil spends an action studying the puckwudgie corpse and draws the punching dagger she carries as an afterthought. Thinking to add this creature as a possible change shape target.

The third puckwudgie reappears and fires more quills before scuttling off out of sight behind the bookshelves.

Attack on Runzyl: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 2 = 31 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 plus poison
Attack on Nev: Attack on Runzyl: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 14 - 2 = 23 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 plus poison
Poison as before, only if you are already receiving one dose then another dose raises the DC of the saving throws by 2 to 20.

i see in your post that there is nothing after "Attack on Nev:" Is there a missing attack, or does that 23 to hit/6 damage apply to both Runzyl and myself?

Sorry, it's a cut-and-paste error - the second attack is on you, not Runzyl.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

alright

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

"More of the little bastards, eh? Not for long."

Move to AK6 before firing at P2- I'm using Point Blank Shot and Manyshot. Attack roll 10+21+1(PBS)=AC 32, damage 2d8+6+2(PBS)+2d6 fire+2d6 electricity = 17 + 9 fire + 9 electricity.

Runzyl.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 vs DC 18 poison

The puckwudgie gives a squawk as Janosz's arrow wings it.

Runzyl. As before, someone will have to take his turn. And his Fort save.

First quill hit, the second missed. Fort save 7+17=24.

Runzyl runs past Janosz before spearing the strange hedgehog-goblin.

Move to AL1 before attacking P2. Attack roll 15!+19+2(Earthbound gauntlets)=AC 36, confirm roll 8+19+2=AC 29, damage 1d6+9+2(EG)=15x2=30.

Just remember that if Runzyl stops his whirling frenzy, he becomes fatigued and takes a -2 penalty to Strength and Dexterity.

He's used it for about 3 rounds. So he'll be fatigued for 6 rounds and afterwards he'll be able to enter his frenzy once again.

m ROD! CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 5exp =125,535(cast as a 9th level cleric)

I have lesser restoration prepared twice; keeping Runzyl's batteries energized seems like a decent payoff for a second level spell.

The puckwudgie female is pierced and lacerated, but the little creatures are clearly tougher than they look.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

I readied for someone to come through the door, so technically i cant step in until someone does so or my original initiative comes up again

Whenever that was. Don't worry about it, grab some action.

Actually, it's my turn. I stopped delaying after firing at the flesh golem last turn. Gelb is after Runzyl's turn.

Gelb follows Janosz into the library and unleashes his wand once again at the puckwudgie.

Move: AJ6.
Standard: wand of scorching ray at P2.
Scorching ray (ranged touch, haste, firing into melee): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 1 - 4 = 24. Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 4) = 13 fire.

Nev or Puckwudgie 2

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

alrighty then

Nevharath will rush in to attack the puckwudgie. i could see it going either way as to whether he is allowed a charge at it. he has a straight line to the enemy but it's through both an ally's square and a tiny bit of a corner of that desk. I won't add the +2. Using Vital Strike (double base weapon dice) and Power attack (-3 to hit/+9 damage).

1d20 + 17 - 3 ⇒ (16) + 17 - 3 = 30
2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 4) + 20 = 26

m ROD! CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 5exp =125,535(cast as a 9th level cleric)

I guess it's my turn; waiting to see what their stuff did.

Being shot, slashed, scorched and bludgeoned is too uch even for a puckwudgie, and she flops to the floor is a spreading pool of blood. Nevharath and Runzyl can see the last puckwudgie looking on aghast as he realises he's the last one left.

Ezreal strides into the library taking it in and scanning for more invisible threats then kneels over the flesh golem to examine the work.

The other guys have this under control.
What are the component parts of the flesh golem?

Ezreal:

Spoiler:
It should require a Knowledge (Arcana) check but you probably have the requisite skill anyway.

The golem is a very nice piece of work. The parts seem mostly human and fresh, the connections are neat, the stitching good and unobtrusive, and the sculpt is well-proportioned. The net effect is not as monstrous as some patch-up jobs you've seen, and might even pass for human in a big coat on a dark night. Done by a real professional working with good materials.

Gil.

Gil joins Ez in his examination.

"I'm not familiar with these things. What do you look for?"

Nice to see the spellcasters are all so mellow about the situation.

The last puckwudgie disappears again.

For the DM only:

Spoiler:
Stealth 1d20 + 16 - 5 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 16 - 5 + 20 = 43

"Priorities, folks. Save your necrophilia for later", Janosz snarls at Gil and Ezreal. "We still have foes about."

"Gelb, make sure nobody sneaks out the door. Nev, Runzyl, Rod, let's flush the goblin out."

Move to AF6. Perception to listen for sneaky footfalls 12+23=35.

This is a seriously sneaky creature - even Janosz can't hear it.

Map updated.

Runzyl.

Still winded from his frenzy but determined to finish their last foe, Runzyl stalks the row the puckwudgie was last seen; Falla Caesenri in high guard.

Standard: total defense (AC 30).
Move: move to AD2.

"The glory is all yours, Marcher!" Gelb mocks encouragingly before maneuvering around the flesh golem to join the spellcasters.

Move: move to AI8.
Ready: use wand of scorching ray on puckwudgie if he appears.

When Janosz calls him out, Ezreal rises and begins looking around slowly walking down the central aisle scanning for the vanished cultist.

Illes walks down the AL column until he can see the puckwedgie and then casts glitterdust on it.

Perception if needed: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

Bored by the golem and not on the least bothered by Janosz' latest grumpiness, Gil moves to the desk to search it. Unless there a glowing porcupine in the immediate vicinity...

Perception to search: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 +3 vs traps

Ezreal looks around, but even with his enhanced vision he can't see the puckwudgie.

We can go out of initiative now.

Gil examines the records on the table. They mostly comprise an inventory of necromantic tomes and liturgical texts from the church of the Keeper.

m ROD! CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 5exp =125,535(cast as a 9th level cleric)

know: religion
1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29

to see if anything's interesting or cogent at the moment.

On what - the inventory? Other than that, nothing much.

m ROD! CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 5exp =125,535(cast as a 9th level cleric)

Yeah; the books. The inventory.

A number of the volumes mentioned are exceedingly rare and valuable.

Of course, the contents are not exactly in line with Flamic teaching, but that doesn't mean that a goodly agency wouldn't pay to take them out of circulation. Rod reckons they can be sold on for about 10,000gp, assuming you can find them on the shelves.

m ROD! CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 5exp =125,535(cast as a 9th level cleric)

"well, there's a good 10,000 gp in that list. They're in the shelves though. Don't reckon we have the time to go digging for books at the moment. And I seem to have left my library card at home."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

"Maybe if we take some books the guy who disappeared will come back.... If they're that valuable."

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

"Set fire to everything. It'll get rid of all this trash and will smoke out the last goblin as well."

Knowledge (Nature), DC 15:

Spoiler:
Setting fire to stuff in a dungeon would be a great way to use up all the oxygen. The undead wouldn't mind, but...

And anyway, this is the treasure!

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

Know (nature) 8+15=23.

"On closer reflection, never mind." Janosz looks even more annoyed than usual. "It'll smoke us out, too. Forget I said anything."

"Load the stuff up. Yell if anyone sees the missing goblin."
