Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

Nevharath moves up 40ft towards the sneaky members of the group. 80ft if he can double move, but I dunno if we are still in the surprise round or not

We aren't on surprise anymore, so you can double-move.

A squeaky voice shouts out from the room, "What are you doing out there?" There is a pause, then, "What the... Boris, Teeni, something's up!" Then there is the sound of a chair being knocked backwards.

Runzyl.

Runzyl circles around his opponent (move to AK-10) and, with a sharp inhalation of breath, punts his quarry down the hall towards his companions with a sharp kick to the solar plexus.

Activate rage, using Knockback rage power to bull rush him down the hall. 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34 vs. CMD. For every 5 points by which I beat his CMD, he moves an additional 5 feet down the hall. The attack deals 7 points of bludgeoning damage.

Runzyl kicks the squealing pukwudgie down the hallway, but spears his foot on more quills.

1d3 ⇒ 3 damage. You are also exposed to the poison again. Since you are currently affected, and you need to succeed in two Fort saves to get over the effect, you need to make another Fort save this round at DC 20 or take 1d3 ⇒ 1 CON damage.

Rod.

Map updated.

Fort: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30. That's more like it.

m ROD! CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 5exp =125,535(cast as a 9th level cleric)

Double move, to X10 I guess.

"Here we go!!!"

With medium armour your movement rate is 20', not 30'. However, if you run you can do double that and get to AB10, so I'll do that.

Janosz.

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

No move. Full attack on P1, using Manyshot and Rapid Shot.
Attack 1: 11+21+1(PBS)=AC 33, damage 2d8+6+2(PBS)+2d6 fire+2d6 electricity=17+9 fire+8 electricity
Attack 2: 10+16+1(PBS)=AC 27, damage 1d8+3+1+1d6 fire+1d6 electricity=10+4 fire+2 electricity
Attack 3: 10+11+1(PBS)=AC 22, damage 1d8+3+1+1d6 fire+1d6 electricity=9+1 fire+5 electricity

The first shot takes the puckwudgie in the back, disappearing amongst the quills, and it collapses.

You have a move action left.

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

I'll stay where I am. I'll try to be prepared when someone comes through the "door", though. Perception 11+23=34 to listen for approaching people.

durrrrp

Before concentrating on the remaining foes, Gelb moves next to the porcupine dwarf and gives a cursory visual check of the body for any loot it may be carrying.

Move: move to AG10.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27.

A few trinkets, nothing obviously magical at first sight.

Looking through the wrong side of the illusion, Runzyl can see a massive figure, wearing a rough overall which barely contains its extremely muscular frame, emerge carefully from between the stacks pushing a trolley loaded with books. Its skin is a sickly grey and stitch marks run along its spade-like hands and across its face, which seems assembled from the features of several different people. The third puckwudgie squeaks, "Boris - defend!" and the golem turns ponderously to stare blankly out of the doorway with mismatched eyes. The puckwudgie giving the orders - seemingly a female judging by its scraggy breasts - then promptly vanishes from view. One moment she is there, the next she isn't.

I'll make this point in a metagame fashion for the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of the spellcasters. But in any case it has already been alluded to in a game context earlier on. It isn't a comment on anyone's play or decisions specifically. Also, you aren't used to big dungeons from me in general. This place is big, and you might be in it for a long time in game time. Be wary of blowing your spells early on - it will only get tougher as you explore deeper.

yeeeeesh

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 6 / War Mind 5

Nevharath will spend 1 PP to manifest Force Screen (same as Shield spell, his AC is now 22) and will move to AJ10 with his heavy flail still in hand.

The other puckwudgie also disappears.

Still waiting for Runzyl.

OK, someone please take Runzyl's turn.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

Too complicated for me :P

Me too - that's why I'm asking someone else.

Still in the grip of rage, Runzyl dashes forward to strike the flesh golem before going back through the illusion to safety.

Spring Attack at flesh golem.
Attack (spring attack, haste, earthbound gauntlets): 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 23 + 1 + 2 = 38. Damage (earthbound gauntlets): 1d6 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 14 + 2 = 21.
Runzyl will end his Spring Attack in the same place he started: AK10.

I'll move up to AI 11.

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

Janosz makes a 'wait' gesture to Nevharath and Gelb. "Runzyl's right. Draw it out here, and we'll tear it to pieces", he mutters to the other warriors.

I'm delaying until after the golem has acted. A note - Runzyl's furious sword is +4 when he rages; it looks like he included the extra bonuses on his character sheet, but a nice side effect is that weapons with that high enchantment bonus cut right through DR/Adamantine.

Map updated.

The puckwudgies and the golem get saves to disbelieve the illusion given Runzyl's just shimmied through it (I'm assuming a DC 17 for a 1st level spell?).
Puckwudgie 2 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Puckwudgie 3 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Boris the Golem 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Boris made it - who'da thunk?

Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1

Just to clarify - can we see through it from our side?

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

DC 15, actually. If I can design a one-way illusion, I did so.

Gelb gives a curt nod at Janosz's suggestion and aims his wand at the doorway.

Readied action: when the flesh golem goes through the illusion, Gelb will use his wand on it.

In the event the flesh golem does so on its turn:
Scorching ray (ranged touch, haste): 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 1 = 17. Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 6) = 18 (fire).

Flesh golem

The golem tracks Runzyl's movement with dull eyes. Then it flips the trolley it is pushing and hurls it at the elf.

1d20 + 8 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 - 4 - 2 = 15 to hit, damage 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 4) + 7 = 13

Line of sight there could let me make the knowledge check in the end.

Vulnerabilities or defences of what?

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

Does Ez have see invisibility running?

Readying her bow, Gil asks, "Did someone just throw that? Should we be using the golem-suit?" We stowed it in the portable hole, if we want to deploy it.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

1st priority: vulnerabilities, any way to shut it down faster.
2nd priority: immunities or resistances so as not to waste our efforts.
Or if you prefer to just offer whatever that is fine too but I thought I might focus area of interest to recall since I must have beat the DC by a few increments of 5.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

And I don't have see invisible running at the moment.

Ez:

Spoiler:
Typical-looking flesh golem - you have encountered one before at the creepy weapon-maker where Runzyly got Falla Caesenri. Thegolem is pretty much immune to most magic. However, it is Slowed by fire and cold spells, and healed by electricity spells.

Will save to disbelieve the illusion 11+7=18. Knowledge (dungeoneering) 12+7=19 to see if I know about the energy vulnerabilities of flesh golems (pertinent as I can turn off my bow's energy damages).

Janosz turns Boris into a pincushion. The golem stands there looking vaguely aggrieved.

This still seems appropriate for the Valenar, copied from last round: Runzyl dashes forward to strike the flesh golem before going back through the illusion.

Spring Attack at flesh golem.
Attack (spring attack, haste, earthbound gauntlets): 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 23 + 1 + 2 = 29
Damage (earthbound gauntlets): 1d6 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 14 + 2 = 21
Runzyl will end his Spring Attack in the same place he started: AK10.

"Dammit," Gelb mutters and moves to get a view of "Boris" before unleashing fire from his wand.

Move: AJ11.
Will save (disbelieve illusion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5.
Standard: activate wand and fire at flesh golem.[ooc]
[ooc]Use the rolls I made from the earlier post. Touch attack: 17. Damage: 18 fire.

Nobody needs to roll to disbelieve the illusion on your side.
