you get a +4 bonus to the grapple resist check since they're trying to move you over the boat's railing and into hazardous tiles. We'll just subtract the 4 from the Grindylow Grapple check. Also, your acrobatics check is good enough to hang on by like one hand (One Round).

This is an interesting character. I haven't played someone that is so weak in combat before. (That will change as he levels, but starting at level 1...). It makes for a different RP experience.

Anatha is going to be interested in picking up one or more of those spears though...that will help him deal a little more damage when he hits at least.

Gnixgnox, your HP for your avatar appears out of 18 but your stats show it to be out of 12. I believe the correct one is 12, so please correct your profile.

With time, Alvin can definitely heal all of your wounds. He is the ships Doctor, after all.

This is the part where I convince Syrio to include a character named Idefix somewhere in the campaign.

The dog that barbarians start with in NetHack?

I was actually referencing the dog from Asterix + Obelix, not entirely sure how the references overlap. As a privileged teenager, the closest thing I've played to NetHack has been Dungeons of Dredmor. Or maybe KOL graphics wise.

Nethack is a F2P on most comps and mobiles these days...definetely worth a download if only to see where gaming started.

I do strongly recommend getting one of the graphic versions though. The ascii game was ridiculously hard just because it was difficult to tell what was going on.

Well, I guess this is as good of way as any to break this news.

I'm sorry I haven't been on the past few days. I've pretty much hit empty as far as energy and motivation go. It's not just here, but in other things I want to do. I'm sorry to have to do this, but this isn't the only game I'm dropping out of. I've had fun, and I regret that I'm not going to be able to get know you guys and your characters as well as I'd like, but I need to regroup and refocus.

I vote for Hanzir and Gnixgnox to use the rope to pull us alongside the ship while Grunval and I bail water to delay the sinking. I am not particularly good at climbing or swimming (-2 modifier on the check for both) so I don't think I have any chance otherwise.

Yes, I'm still here. I kind of feel like we should have botted Anatha to keep the momentum going, but I also should have said something at the time.

I'm down with recruiting two more people. If Anatha comes back, that only potentially makes this six people, and the way pbp goes, we'll likely lose one or two more people, so that would put us back in range. If Anatha doesn't come back, then two more people will put us back in range, immediately.
