Let's see! Pact World languages that neither Leila or Astri speaks yet:
Akitonian, Aklo, Brethedan, Kasatha, Triaxian and Ysoki. So picking those.
And then one more on the uncommon list! Hmm. Abyssal? Starting from the top :P

Mystic level 6:
Stamina: 7
HP: 6
+1 BAB
+1 all saves
+0/1 SPD
+1 2nd level spell: Mind thrust?
7 skills: Acrobatics, Athletics, Mysticism, Perception, Piloting, Sense Motive, Surivial
1 feat: Step up (thanks, Leila!)
Stargazer (Su) 6th Level: You can study the stars to gain a bit of good luck. Twice per day, if you are outdoors and can see the stars, you can reroll a failed ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check.
Cueta Guiding Star
I guess it depends on how often you'd think we'll be outside and able to view the stars. Both of those conditions seem a bit limiting to me, honestly (no dungeons, no daylight, no starship combat).

Glad I could be helpful : )
And, depending on how generous we are, couldn't Cueta just have looked at Astri or something?
Not all stars have to be hot balls of gas some *uh* hmm I kinda lost track of where I was going ... Sorry Captain! ^^

I stopped reading at the hot, so you've been promoted to first rear vice-admiral commander, congratulations! It's still below Captain, but now you can boss Cueta around at least.

Yay!

I'm leaning towards going for heavy weapons skills. If there is one defining quality in Prospero-4, it's his weapon fetish :P
The getting-hit-but-keep-standing feels more like Cueta's thing... :) (Despite last battle)
Hmm, should we have a short recap on the story-so-far? The clues we've found, the trail we're following, the potential bad guys of the adventure, etc.
Anyway, finishing three books of an AP in PBP is no small feat! Congrats all of us!
Cueta Guiding Star
Ahah, true. I missed the 'outside' condition.
Lets combine the custom trait with stargazer so that you can just reroll twice a day with no preconditions (something out there likes you much more reliably).
Rolling a d100 everytime for a 5% chance of something wasn't my best idea :).
That sounds great!
I am happy with either summary, though doing it from our perspective could be kind of fun. Fair warning though: Cueta's not into nerd stuff and will likely have a broad and inaccurate view of things.
Astrianna Sparacello
I would participate in this but I have been swamped lately. I'll chime in where I can. Mostly I'd like to keep track of all the initialed messages we have gathered so far, but haven't had a chance to look back through all the posts.
GM Stargin
Four people from different parts of the Pact Worlds and different backgrounds, for their own reasons, decide to join the Starfinder Society and arrange a meeting with a recruiter, the dwarf Duravor Kreel, on Absalom Station.
They arrive there by ship just in time to see him shot dead right in front of them in a crossfire between two gangs who they have to fight off.
From his warm corpse they do find out about a fairly high up person in the Starfinders, a shirren named Chiskisk. They meet him and get accepted as probationanry members of the Starfinders given the charge of finding out if there was anything more to Kreel's death then just an unfortunate accident. The gangs involved are the Downside Kings and the Hardscrabble Collective.
Throught their investigation, using their local contacts, they discover the two gangs involved in the fight were hired by opposing factions fighting over a mysterious asteriod found by a mining ship hired by a corporation. The mining ship came out of the drift with the mysterious asteriod heading towards Absalom Station with no one on board. The Downside Kings gang was hired by the corporation Astral Extractions, while the Level 21 Crew was hired by the Hardscrabble Collective.
Visiting the club of the downside kings leads to a firefight and the revelation that they were hired by Astral Excavations to assassinate Kreel, who was advocating on behalf of the Collecive over ownership of the Drift Rock.
An Eoxian ambassador named Galvaresk Nor was acting as a mediator in the dispute and Chiskisk convinced him that the four Starfinders were best placed to investigate the Drift Rock to make a recommendation on the competing claims.
Provided a ship the four travel to the quarantined rock, attacked by an Eoxian fighter when they got close to the rock. Downing the ship they landed on the ghost ship and discovered it was overrun by akatas as well as some very scared goblins that had tried to scavenge the ship. Captain logs on the ship revealed the crew had brought in valuable minerals that had turned out to be akata eggs and that something mysterious from the drift rock had been attacking them. In desperation the surviving members of the crew fled their ship to go to the drift rock themselves.
The group follows in their footsteps to investigate the rock. They get jumped by an android from the Eoxian fighter and also find Zombies and Ghosts as they delve deeper. Eventually they find that the asteroid had an alien structure built into it that's still kind of operational with alien lettering that no one recognizes. Then they fight a mysterious monster that seemed to have been living on the rock and the cause of the death of the mining crew. They kill it and find a SHIP! and then they follow the Ghost to the body of a human woman Moriko Nash who had met the same fate as the mining crew decades ago. She leaves the ship, the Sunrise Maiden, to whoever finds the recording.
End Book one.
Maybe someone else can do Book Two? #Castrovel. Should be more concise I think, Book One had a surprising amount of plot looking back at it. If not I'll put up the recap when I can. Everybody's good with taking a pause before going into Book four right?
Leila Bluetistle
Thanks for the recap : )
I won't mind a pause before book 4. There's several things we should figure out anyhow - like what to upgrade our ship with and what to buy with our shiny credits.
Cueta Guiding Star
Pause sounds good.
I didn't join until into book 2, right? Not sure if I'm the best for a recap in that case, but I'm happy to give it a go.
Prospero-4
Thanks for the recap!
Have we heard of Astral Extractions since book 1, or found any links between them and the more recent baddies?
And did we find out any details about the origin of the drift rock? Or about the monster that lurked there?
There was some eoxian schemes going on in book 1 - not sure about the agendas of the ambassador, and the attacks of the eoxian fighters (ok, I think the second attack was book2?).
I can try to write the summary of book 2, but it takes a moment. Was out late yesterday, and feeling pretty dizzy today :D
And I don't mind a pause before book 4
GM Stargin
Did book two. Will leave book three to you guys #Diaspora #Eox.
Let's say we'll pick back up after Victoria Day! What you guys don't celebrate the great Queen Victoria? Why ever not? (20th May this year).
Book Two
Heading back to Absalom Station the brand new crew of the Sunrise Maiden gets attacked by yet another Eoxian vessel. During the fight the first human pilot of the crew unfortunately gets knocked unconscious by some faulty wiring. Fortunately, another human pilot appears out of a hidden cyro unit in the ship.
The new addition helps to disable the hostile vessel which promptly destroys itself rather than get captured. The group arrives back in Absalom station as heroes as the Eoxian ambassador who had charged them with investigating the ghost ship and drift rock had live broadcast their adventures. They are in his good graces not only for successfully completing his assigned task but also retrieving a package for him from the derelict mining ship.
Chiskisk, their boss at the Starfinders reveals that the unknown alien markings the group found on the Drift Rock have been seen before! The Starfinder researchers realized that a pulp historian with a bad reputation, Halukeem Zan, had recorded them in his expeditions to Castrovel. The only people who might have any deeper knowledge of Zan's work is the Qabarat Universitiy of XenoAntropology or QUXAX in the city of Qabarat on Castrovel. The group's next step is to go there to find out more.
At Qabarat they find the university in a bit of a turmoil but manage to sweet talk the VERY fashionable lashuntan dean into taking them to the expert on the matter, Dr.Solstrani.
Unfortunately the find her office ransacked which kicks off an investigation by the Starfinders. The clues they find lead them to a grubby restaurant named the Five Arches. Asking around there gets the attention of a sleazy lashuntan smuggler type who has seen Solstrani before but lies about it. Other clues convince them that Solstrani has been kidnapped and taken to find some ancient ruins deep in the continent of Ukulum on Castrovel. As Ukulum is a strictly controlled natural environment the group acquires expedited travel visas and pursue with their own information from Quxax to guide them to the same ruins.
The trek takes more than a week and is quite exciting. During it they find an almost dead lashuntan mercenary who they nurse back to health. From her they learn that it is Devourer cultists who were behind the kidnapping of Dr.Solstrani. At the end of the journey, at the foothills of a mountain range, they find Pyramids and, a steep stair climb above them a temple that was first dedicated to Desna and then had a larger structure built around it to honor Ibra as well. There they find an ancient undead guardian who has been magically bound to prevent them from continuing. The group crashes through a window instead to find Devourer cultists rigging the temple to explode and take a bound Solstrani with it. The group saves Solstrani and learns the leader of the group, Tahomen, went further up the mountain.
They discover some documents that Solstrani goes through and while this is happening Tahomen comes back. Then he dies as the group kills him. What they find out though is that there is a constellation of twelve faint stars that form a perfect circle that the builders of the temple, the Oita elves, were obsessed with. Most of them were convinced that such a circle could not be natural and it was an ancient device of some sort. Maybe a portal, maybe a super weapon. The Devourer cultists certainly think it's a super weapon capable of causing untold destruction! Tahomen had a galactic level transmitter being hauled around with which he transmitted his findings to an area of the Diaspora called the Fields of the Lost.
They head back to civilization with a grateful Dr.Solstrani and then, with an upgraded Sunrise Maiden, head out to the Diaspora.
End Book Two, Page 28 of this thread.

I didn't know there was such a thing as Victoria Day! Happy V Day, in advance!
I'll get something up between then and now recapping Book 3 from Cueta's point of view. It will probably have inaccuracies :)
I'll be running a committee and presenting at a conference the week of the 20th, so I may not be available until the 22nd or 23rd that week, depending on how the committee duties work out (we don't have the total schedule yet).
Leila Bluetistle
Mmhm. Sounds silly but then again our royal birth days are flag days too. Happy Victoria then : )
Speaking of Book 3 - we should probably get that medallion to the poor skeleton friend. Might bring some closure. Or just a tinsy bit of good karma.
Leila Bluetistle
Hmm. Probably. Not sure what though. Will try and take a look at what we can buy during the coming week : )
Prospero-4
Maybe we should buy a big box of UPB so we can craft later..?
But yeah, need to check if there would be something of immediate use
Cueta Guiding Star
I'm really sick, like lost 3 pounds in two days sick. Be back soon.

Modifiers +2 any four checks per round, +4 Computers, +1 Piloting
Note: You need to remove the blankspaces that paizo adds to plug it back into the ship builder. Do so by copying the contents of the JSON spoiler into notepad and use find and replace (replace " " with "". No actual " in notpad of course - you simply put a blank space in the find and nothing in the replace slot).
This is the starship builder. Including some tags so I can find this post easier the next time we are upgrading the ship : )
Starship star ship upgrade sunrise maiden ship builder calculator
---
So what did I chance?
I stuffed a much larger power core into the ship and with it much bigger shields. The armour wasn't upgraded (expensive) but the countermeasures was. Likewise we still have our old computer, but it's a pretty cool one. Our main particle cannon got a small upgrade. I put in a slightly better drift engine as well.
Also the technological and magical item crafting modules. There's a drug/medicine one and they all cost just 1 point (but also 1 of our 4 slots) to install so if we want that one we can simply change.
Basically the ship should behave as before; well above average safety bubble and great missile defense with countermeasures and a flak cannon. We have terrific focused firepower with our big turret but are somewhat vulnerable to getting swarmed as we don't have the million tiny weapons in every arc some ships have.
Thoughts : )?
Leila Bluetistle
Also looking around at the loot we have the rune of the eldritch knight appears to be a class feature of the soldier specialization arcane assailant rather then an actual item...
---
Leila's wishlist!
Seeking Fusion on her sonic pistol - 680
Bright's Bolt - 1300
Ring of Resistance MK 2 - 4200
---
Crafting in Starfinder doesn't actually seem to give a discount on things but rather provide some small bonuses on durability and repair-ability. Which is still pretty neat!
So it'd probably still be worth crafting our on things when we can if they break (and also because it is cool) but there's no wealth-by-level shenanigans we need to juggle.
I still recommend that we get a large chunk of universal build points (or whatever they are called!) so that we can put together things in case we forget something/realize the need for special equipment.
Leila Bluetistle
Thanks for the appreciation : )
@Cold Iron Bars/Silver - I'd say we try to turn these into melee weapons or bullets or something. Just so we have the option to overcome that DR.
Or we could simply rely on energy damage instead as usual :D
Prospero-4
Good job on the ship, Leila!
I couldn't think of any new gear, but I could upgrade the ability booster:
Synaptic Accelerators (Technology), MK 1-> MK 2 - 5100cr
Also, what's our situation with healing serums? Should we buy some stronger ones into supply?
Leila Bluetistle
@Item Ideas - We have plenty of money so if you can't think of anything better the Ring of Resistance Mk2 might be a healthy pickup : )
The ability boosters are always a choice too as Prospero pointed out.
@Serums - No idea sorry!
@Ship - Thanks!
Astrianna Sparacello
I forgot to list the techomagical items Astri has on her person:
(8) serums of healing mk 1
(2) Spell amps of Lesser Restoration
(1) Merciful Seal (Lvl 2)
(2) Spell amp of Comprehend Language
(2) Spell amp of Share Language
(1) Spell amp of Remove Condition, Lesser
(1) spell gem of flight,
(1) spell gem of remove affliction
(1) spell gem of see invisibility
It wouldn't hurt for us to pick up another serum of healing or two (MkII that is!)
Leila Bluetistle
Might be worth considering grabbing some extra copies of those last four spell gems/amps too?
Leila Bluetistle
Aight! I'm anxious to begin again, might just try for a nonsense poke-the-Eox-setting post tomorrow or something.
And yeah I hope you are feeling better Cueta!
Leila Bluetistle
There! Now that's off my chest at least.
A quick-quick summary of book 3 as far as I remember it!
1) We went to cultist space station
2) We quibbled with a pirate ship and let them live
3) Some odd-mind-something critters lived on the rock where the station was. We fought it/them
4) Inside the station were a scene of a massacre
5) Eoxian traces - corpse fleet hints? (help from pirate!)
6) Computer was kinda wiped. Found diary though
7) Went to Eox
8) They blame corpse fleet. We talk to official
9) Talk to clues/recent report:
a) One skeleton says their room mate went to the Corpse Feet. Ghouls are beating her up at her house
b) Flesh wat stolen by Marrowblight
10) We head to hateful Marrowblight, accidentally killing her pet
11) With aggressive diplomacy/bluffs we convince said marrowblight to "take us to your leader"
12) We boink said leader and acquire our next set of clues!
As mentioned this is just how I recall it. But it might help get the ball rolling and for us all to fill in a bit more : )
Prospero-4
I'm here. Been just quite busy, so I've enjoyed the break :)
Prospero-4
I hope Cueta is all right... I'm a bit worried now :I
Beside the concern for Cueta's well-being, we can get slowly back on track.
Leila Bluetistle
I'm with prospero on this one. Worried and a bit anxious.
But on the other hand I'm looking forward to starting up again.
Astrianna Sparacello
Hoping Cueta will chime in soon.
Up to you guys if you'd like to continue or not, I'm just here to yell at stuff!
