eakratz posting as Thyll Autumncaller. Still need to buy gear.

Here goes Viridios the Green!

Work in progress. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I think that I got most of the historical context right, but I may have made some mistakes. Specifically, I am not sure about the end of the Chaos War, the disappearance of the moons, and the creation of the the Silvanesti Shield...

Also, current year?

I notice that in the link you provided to Dragonlance Nexus, it doesn’t give elves shortsword proficiency but does give something called a soris. What is that?

Soris is a weapon used by the kirath. Soris: The soris is an ingenious weapon that doubles as a tool. A ball-like joint connects two pieces of light yet stout wood. The upper end is eighteen inches long, with small folding hooks and a rope hand-loop. The soris' lower end is five feet long and tipped with a needle-like metal point. A leather thong is affixed to the lower end, approximately twelve inches from the joint. The joint can be locked in any position, giving the soris a length between five feet and nearly seven feet.

Favored weapon of the Blue Phoenix is a scimitar IIRC

The adventure takes place about 40 years after the Chaos War. During that time the gods "left" and the great dragons came. In response, the Silvanesti raised the shield which was actually put up by Cyan Bloodbane and it was killing the elves, Mina came and shattered it during the War of Souls. The minotaur came after the majority of the elven army left to Sanction and took over the ancient elven homeland.

This is about 6 months after the end of the War of Souls.

I like the wizard but I thought that wood elemental specialists had the metal prohibited school?

In Dragonlance elves and half elves also get dark vision.

So we have an elven cleric of Habbakuk, an elven wood wizard, a human mercernary submitted so far.

Is this correct

Soris: The soris is a jointed staff-spear used
predominantly by the elven kirath. A soris is two pieces of
darkwood connected by a universal joint. The short upper
shaft has small folding hooks and a rope hand-loop. The
soris’ lower shaft has an attached leather thong and is tipped
with a sharp metal spike. The ball-like joint can be locked
in any position, allowing for many possible uses. A soris is
always crafted as a masterwork weapon. You can
use this weapon to gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Climb
checks.
Function: A soris can attack as a club, a light flail, a
quarterstaff, or a shortspear of equivalent size (Medium for
elves).
Weapon Familiarity: Elf

This is from Races of Ansalon, the official book.

I have it.
My dwarf smith is still in the works.

Is viriduos planning on going into the wizard of high sorcery prc?

Sovereign Court

Could you list the Character Building rules?

Anything else?

Absolutely!

Thanks for the catches on the opposition schools & darkvision. Character sheet was edited accordingly.

As for the Soris, which I had seen and looks cool, I chose the Arcane Focus alternate racial trait, instead of Weapon Familiarity, so my assumption is that he isn't proficient. Unless you say otherwise!

With regards to the chronology, I'll review accordingly... Thanks!

my draft requires another trait since dual trait is an alternate racial trait that replaces the racial bonus, bonus feat and skilled traits.

which would be more useful: sense motive or acrobatics?

Either or.

No, he wouldnt know how to use that weapon. As a mage though, it shouldnt be a problem. You do have your spear ability as a wood wizard and for thematic purposes it could take the shape of the soris.

There is the woodshaper feat in Races of Ansalon that you might want to take.

Were you a member of House Mystic or House Woodshaper?

1) Indeed, he could use the Soris as a spear or a quarterstaff? Emphasis on quarterstaff, what with his planning to join the Order...

2) Woodshaper is definitely on the list, as is Favored of the Moons! Eventually... Thanks for the note. I hadn't seen the feats in Races of Absalon. In fact, I am looking through the book and will likely make a few small changes to the character's background.

3) House Mystic, I think. However, having joined Kirath, wouldn't he now belong to no House?

The Silvanesti are very structured so if you werent a member of House Mystic you would have needed permission of the Speaker of the Stars to study magic. This is one of the reasons that Dalamar gets in trouble, he was a member of House Servitor.

Would he then be "adopted" by House Mystic? Or would he be a member of House Woodshaper who has the right to study magic? Certainly would add one more touch of conflict, and explain his affinity to wood...
